Our vacancy is in the south team at our Ilkeston, Ripley and Ashbourne areas.

A Band 8a position will be offered to candidates who have already completed an MSc in Advanced Practice and who can demonstrate contemporary experience working at an advanced level within a relevant clinical environment.

Main duties of the job

As an ACP you will:

  • Establish a cohesive team approach for the ACP workforce development
  • Support the service leads and managers with audit, innovation, and performance management
  • Lead on training needs discussions, based on audit findings, supervision outputs and individual staff knowledge gaps
  • Assist in feedback for staff appraisals.

You will apply advanced clinical expertise, levels of judgement, discretion and decision making to the provision of clinical care to adults .

You will exercise a high degree of autonomy through the application of advanced clinical skills in relation to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of adults.

You will lead and monitor improvements to quality of care through clinical audit, evidence-based practice, clinical supervision, teaching and supporting professional colleagues and the provision of skilled professional leadership.
