Job summary
Join our dedicated CAMHS Community Eating Disorder Service as a Peer Support Worker (Band 3) and use your lived experience to make a genuine difference to children, young people and families affected by eating disorders. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, providing one-to-one and group support, inspiring hope and recovery, and helping young people achieve their personal goals. We are looking for a compassionate, motivated and resilient individual with lived experience of an eating disorder, excellent communication skills, and a passion for empowering others. If you are committed to recovery-focused care and want to help shape and improve services through your unique perspective, we would love to hear from you.
If you don't already have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, RDaSH are offering this post alongside the opportunity for you to complete a Level 3apprenticeship qualification [relevant to your role].
As an apprentice within RDaSH you will be given the opportunity to gain experience, learn work-related skills and obtain all the tools needed to thrive.
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Around 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This leads to a nationally recognised qualification.

- Establish positive, safe and respectful relationships with children, young people and families accessing the service.
- Signpost and connect young people and families to community groups, local resources and partner agencies to strengthen their support networks.
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings, reviews and training sessions, promoting recovery-focused and strengths-based approaches to care.
- Maintain accurate records and work closely with clinicians to ensure support is aligned to individual care plans.
- Identify concerns relating to a young person's physical health, mental health or wellbeing and escalate appropriately to the clinical team.
- Contribute to service development, promote positive and non-discriminatory language, and help improve peer support provision across the service.
