We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated band 5 nurse to join our team. Ready for a new challenge?

We need a band 5 registered nurse to work in SDEC , which specialises in managing the care of medical, surgical, vascular, urology, and acute oncology.

The successful candidate will be committed in providing excellent nursing care to our diverse group of patients. This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate and increase your knowledge, experience and skills on a fast paced department.

Successful applicant must be able to provide high quality, safe nursing care, which is driven by patient experience and evidence-based practice.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be committed in providing excellent nursing care to our diverse group of patients with complex needs.

Assess, plan and deliver and evaluate nursing care, providing the prescribed nursing care without supervision.

Assist in the management and provision of all aspects of patient care.

Act in accordance with NMC code of professional conduct.

Demonstrate practice based on current advances in nursing practice and research.

Comply with infection procedures too and control procedures at all times.

Take personal responsibility for putting the person receiving the care first, and to challenge poor care/practice, doing so as soon as any short comings are seen.

Management

Take charge of the ward as requested

Contribute to the running of the unit, providing leadership and supervision of less experienced staff

Contribute to the review of staff performance
