Job summary

The post holder will be a highly motivated, professional, and proactive individual with the experience, confidence, and capability to work independently, exercising sound judgement and initiative, as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and established operational procedures.

The role is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative, coordination, and project support to the Strategic Commissioning, Contracting, and Transformation function within the Place Division, supporting a diverse portfolio of services.

This is a pivotal role, contributing to the effective planning, organisation, and delivery of commissioning and transformation programmes. The post holder will support the Strategic Commissioning, Contracting, and Transformation teams, alongside Clinical Leads and key stakeholders, in the development and implementation of integrated clinical models designed to improve outcomes for the population of Dudley.

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional organisational skills, a high level of accuracy, and meticulous attention to detail. They will possess strong analytical and administrative capabilities, together with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and information management systems. The ability to manage competing priorities, maintain effective stakeholder relationships, and support complex projects in a fast-paced environment is essential to the success of this role.

Main duties of the job

To provide administrative support to the Strategic Commissioning, Contracting and Transformation Leads, clinical leads and the wider team including: diary management, booking meetings, planning events, organising travel, correspondence, prioritising emails and pro-active action taking.

Provide administrative support for the contracting cycle: organisation and formal documentation of contract review meetings (CRMs) and quality visits with a range of providers.

Provide project management support to a range of projects within the team portfolio, this will include: day to day management of the projects, development of detailed project plans for sign off by relevant project boards, identifies all associated risks and issues including resolving day-to-day problems independently, maintains project action log, monitoring and administration of the associated project budget including authorised signatory for small payments in relation to project.

Essential

  • Education to GCSE Level C in English & Maths or equivalent
  • High Level of IT Literacy

Desirable

  • An advanced qualification, NVQ / BTech or degree would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Project Management qualification

Knowledge & Training

Essential

  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and N365 and the willingness to learn
