Main duties of the job
We are searching for an enthusiastic and dynamic Team Leader to influence the transformation of the Healthy Child Programme offer in York. We are committed to maintaining the public health nature of the service and focussing on improving health outcomes for children and young people in York.

The Healthy Child Service School-Aged Health Team Leader plays a crucial role in facilitating the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme through effective leadership and development of their team, working collaboratively with the other HCS Team Leaders (0-11) to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery across the city of York to meet the needs of children, young people and families to improve health outcomes.
This role is an intrinsic part of the Healthy Child Service leadership team and will report on a day-to-day basis to the HCS Operational and Quality Manager to ensure professional development and service delivery are clearly linked to population health and public health priorities.
The Team Leader will take a lead role in areas of responsibility to ensure the smooth delivery of the service and service improvements in collaboration with the other HCS Team Leaders (0-11). They will represent the service at partnership meetings and ensure that the Healthy Child Service is an effective partner within the childrens health system in York.
