Job description
Job responsibilities
- We are seeking 2-4 days of clinical time at Blakeney (part of Dean Medical Practice) for a salaried GP on a permanent basis, ideally to be worked across Monday, Tuesday, and Friday (or 2 days within this). Whilst the clinical time will predominantly be based at Blakeney, there will be closer working across the Dean Medical Practice sites and there may be occasions where you will be asked to work at another site within Dean Medical Practice.
- On an interim basis, likely to be for 3 months, up to 4 hours of the Blakeney clinical time would be used to act as an interim GP lead role at Blakeney. Our aim would be that this would be a developmental opportunity for a GP with a keen interest in developing a clinical leadership skillset, and there may well be future opportunities in this regard. Otherwise, the lead time will revert to clinical time (with the usual time for clinical admin and CPD).
Primary care clinician duties, including (but not limited to) face to face consultations, video consultations, telephone consultations, e-consultations and queries. Also, home visits, duty doctor/on-call responsibilities, clinical administration, prescribing, and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. Acting as Named GP for a share of registered patients proportionate to contracted hours.
Complying with the General Medical Councils Good Medical Practice and other standards for doctors
