Job summary

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Dietitian to join our dynamic AHP team working in Inpatient Mental Health Services.

This new post will help develop dietetic services for nutrition support pathways for those experiencing nutritional difficulties related to their mental health condition, neurodiversity or physical health conditions.

The post is hospital-based and involves close MDT working, providing opportunity for development of knowledge and skills around this complex and varied client group.

Clinical supervision is provided by an Advanced Dietitian in line with Trust governance policies and opportunities exist for training and development to enhance knowledge, skills and confidence in working with this client group.

Although the post is based at The Caludon Centre in Coventry, travel across sites (Warwick and Nuneaton) is a requirement of the post, so a car driver with own means of transport is required.

This rewarding role offers autonomy, variety, and the chance to develop and shape a specialist dietetic service while working alongside experienced multidisciplinary colleagues across our inpatient units. If you are motivated, innovative, and keen to develop your skills in a supportive and forward-thinking environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide specialist dietetic assessment, advice and intervention for service users within adult and older adult impatient units across Warwickshire. They will manage an independent clinical caseload, deliver training and education to staff, contribute to service development, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to improve physical health outcomes for people with complex mental and physical health needs.
