Patient Care Locally CIC (PCL) is looking for an experienced and motivated Clinical Project Manager to lead the delivery of an innovative mobile cervical screening service across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, with travel across the wider locality as required.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a project that aims to improve access to cervical screening, particularly for underserved communities and people who may face barriers to accessing healthcare. You will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of the service, coordinating staff, mobile units, community locations and partner organisations to ensure the project meets its objectives.

Working closely with NHS partners, GP practices, local authorities and community organisations, you will use project planning, performance data and feedback to monitor progress, improve uptake and shape future phases of the service.

We are looking for someone with strong project management, communication and organisational skills, who can build effective relationships, manage competing priorities and turn plans into results. Experience of working within or alongside the NHS would be an advantage. A clinical background is welcome but is not essential.

PCL is a community interest company committed to delivering high-quality, locally based healthcare.

Main duties of the job

You will lead the planning and delivery of the mobile cervical screening service, coordinating staff, mobile units, screening locations and partner organisations across the region. You will manage project timelines, budgets, resources and risks, ensuring the service is delivered safely, effectively and in line with agreed objectives.

You will monitor performance and screening uptake, prepare progress reports and updates for the Project Board, and use data and feedback to evaluate each phase of delivery and identify improvements. You will also build relationships with NHS partners, GP practices, local authorities and community organisations to improve access to screening, particularly for underserved communities.

The role includes supporting staff recruitment and management, coordinating operational meetings, maintaining appropriate governance and safety standards, and identifying opportunities to develop or expand the service.

This is a hands-on project leadership role requiring strong organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and travel across the locality.
