Job summary

The De Parys Group has an opportunity for two medical secretaries to join their team on a part-time basis, working 22 hours per week.

With the increasing use of technology in general practice, medical secretaries are playing an increasingly important role in managing patient information and ensuring that healthcare providers have access to the data they need to deliver high-quality care.

Main duties of the job

  • Providing a full secretarial service including the typing of letters, reports, patient referrals, meeting minutes, memorandums, etc.
  • Handling queries regarding hospital appointments and treatments.
  • Ensuring that any requests for information are appropriately dealt with and that all subsequent charges are invoiced appropriately.
  • Arranging meetings (to include the booking of rooms) as required.
  • Designing template letters and forms for use throughout the practice.
  • Maintaining the clinical system, in an accurate and secure manner.
  • Assisting with the gathering of statistics and information.
About us

The De Parys Groups priority is to provide the highest standard of clinical care to the 38,000 patients registered with the practice. We aim to work collaboratively with other healthcare providers and support organisations, to enable more patients to be treated in a primary care setting, closer to home. We embrace a continuous improvement ethos and strive to ensure that we are available to patients when they need a consultation. We have a strong training ethos within the practice with a team of medical and non-medical educators as well as opportunities for non-clinical staff to develop and progress.

TDPG is fortunate to have its own dispensaries at our De Parys and Bromham sites. In addition to our routine GMS services, we offer a comprehensive range of services including minor surgery, LARC provision and anticoagulation clinics.

We have high QOF achievement and excellent KPIs within the group.
