Job summary

Aitune Medical Practice is a friendly, well established GP practice serving approximately 8,000 patients in the Long Eaton community. As a Veteran Friendly accredited practice and a proud member of the Erewash Health Partnership, we work collaboratively with GP practices across Ilkeston and Long Eaton to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care within a supportive team environment. We use the SystmOne clinical system alongside Rapid Health Triage to ensure efficient and effective patient care.

We currently have availability for 4 to 6 sessions per week. You will work alongside GP partners, salaried GPs and other colleagues providing full general practice healthcare to our 8000 patients, with a proportionate number (pro rata of sessions worked) of patients under your care to support continuity. Your week will be split into routine appointment sessions and duty appointment sessions. Your days will include a mixture of 10/15 minute F2F and telephone appointments and the number of patients you are expected to see F2F in a day is 25. Most of our home visits are undertaken by a visiting hub available to us, but you would be expected to occasionally visit patients at home as needed.

Main duties of the job

In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the postholder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.

Please see job description for more details.
