We're looking for compassionate and motivated Nursing Associates to join our welcoming team on the Elmdon Intermediate Care Unit at Solihull Hospital.

Elmdon is a 42-bed rehabilitation and recovery unit that supports patients who are medically stable but need a little extra help before returning home. Every day, our team helps people regain confidence, rebuild independence and achieve what matters most to them.

At Elmdon, you'll be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team that places recovery, dignity and person-centred care at the heart of everything we do. We work closely with colleagues across health, social care and the voluntary sector to help patients return home safely.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills in:

*Rehabilitation and recovery care

*Supporting patient independence and mobility

*Complex discharge planning

*Working within an integrated multidisciplinary team

*Holistic care for patients with a range of physical and healthcare needs

What We Offer

A friendly and supportive team environment

Comprehensive induction and ongoing development opportunities

Structured competency and training programmes

Opportunities to broaden your clinical knowledge and experience

A rewarding role where you can see the positive impact of your care every day

Working Pattern

*Long Day: 07:00 -- 19:30

*Night: 19:00 -- 07:30

If you are passionate about helping people regain their independence and want to be part of a caring, dedicated team, come and join us.

Main duties of the job

- Assessing, monitoring and reviewing patients' physical and emotional needs; recognising deterioration, completing risk assessments, and escalating concerns appropriately.

- Planning, coordinating and delivering evidence-based nursing care, including personal care, nutrition and hydration, mobility, skin integrity, continence, respiratory care, infection prevention, end-of-life care, observations and agreed clinical procedures.

- Administering prescribed medicines and treatments within competence, Trust policy and scope of practice.

- Maintaining accurate, timely electronic and paper clinical records; providing safe handovers and protecting confidentiality.

- Communicating clearly with patients, families, carers and the multidisciplinary team; gaining verbal consent, advocating for patients, and responding to concerns or complaints.

- Working collaboratively across services to support continuity of care, health promotion, safeguarding and integrated care.

- Delegating suitable tasks to junior staff, supervising learners and support workers, and contributing to teaching and a positive learning culture.

- Following professional standards, Trust policies, safety, infection-control, safeguarding and incident-reporting requirements; challenging and escalating poor practice.

- Managing and prioritising workload, maintaining mandatory training and clinical competence, and supporting audit, quality improvement, research and service development.
