Job summary

A 6 month opportunity in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Royal London Hospital, commencing October 2026, with the possibility of a further 6 month extension.

This is a unique opportunity to join the largest hospital in the country and an enthusiastic department which has pursued, and continues to pursue, numerous exciting service development opportunities.

Main duties of the job

The post will provide ideal opportunities to enhance the successful candidate's portfolio and support their career progression, as well as the chance to connect and work with consultants across the Barts Health sites. It will also offer well-organised candidates valuable clinic and theatre experience within a supportive environment.

While the post is not recognised for postgraduate training, it provides the same educational opportunities, and successful candidates are expected to fully participate in the well established postgraduate training programme to continue their personal and professional development. Previous post holders have been successful in securing national training numbers (ST3) at national selection interviews.
