We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Specialist Podiatrist to join our Multidisciplinary Diabetic Foot Care Team. Working closely with Consultant Diabetologists, Vascular, Orthopaedic and Diabetes specialists, you will provide expert assessment and treatment for patients with active diabetic foot disease.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care aimed at reducing hospital admissions, preventing complications and minimising the risk of lower limb amputation.
The role involves managing urgent referrals, ensuring patients with active foot conditions are assessed within 24 hours, undertaking advanced wound management, and providing specialist advice and education to patients and healthcare professionals.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HCPC-registered Podiatrist to work within a dynamic specialist service dedicated to improving outcomes for people with diabetes.
Main duties of the job
As a Specialist Podiatrist within the Multidisciplinary Diabetic Foot Care Team (MDFT), you will provide expert assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients with active diabetic foot disease, helping to reduce hospital admissions, prevent complications and minimise the risk of lower limb amputation.
Working closely with Consultant Diabetologists, Vascular and Orthopaedic Consultants, Diabetes Specialist Nurses and other healthcare professionals, you will manage complex and high-risk foot conditions across community and acute settings. You will be responsible for triaging and responding to urgent referrals, ensuring patients with active diabetic foot problems are assessed within 24 hours and receive timely intervention.
Your day-to-day duties will include advanced wound management, ulcer care, vascular and neurological assessments, offloading and orthotic provision, nail surgery under local anaesthetic, patient education and the development of individualised treatment plans.
You will act as an expert resource for colleagues and partner organisations, contribute to service development, support the supervision of junior staff and students. The role would include covering a one 3-hour session once every 18 months on a chosen Bank holiday (excludes Xmas day).

Main duties of the job
Provides advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with complex and high-risk wound care needs, managing a specialist caseload across community clinics and domiciliary settings in Bristol and surrounding areas. Develops and delivers evidence-based, personalised care plans, closely monitoring wound progression and identifying early signs of deterioration. Utilises digital technology, including an AI-supported wound care app, to remotely review non-healing wounds and ensure timely intervention.
Acts as a clinical leader within wound care, offering specialist advice to colleagues and partner organisations while supporting service improvement and clinical excellence. Contributes to the development and implementation of clinical pathways and protocols, ensuring care aligns with best practice.
Works collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, including participation in secondary care diabetic foot clinics alongside diabetes and vascular specialists, to provide integrated care across BNSSG. Builds strong relationships with stakeholders to support seamless patient pathways.
Leads on education, training, and mentorship, supporting workforce development through competency frameworks, supervision, and promotion of continuous professional development. Works with clinical and operational leads to enhance service delivery, contributing to governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with local and national standards.

Job summary
We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Specialist Musculoskeletal (MSK) Podiatrist to be based at the Broadgreen Hospital site.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated Podiatrist to join our small, friendly and dynamic team committed to delivering the very best podiatric care providing a range of foot health services, encompassing all aspects of MSK podiatry.
The post holder will treat patients with complex MSK foot and ankle conditions in a variety of specialist clinics including rheumatology, footwear clinics, triage services and nail surgery. You will also provide specialist podiatry input to the inpatient setting at Broadgreen.
The team is friendly and supportive and the specialist podiatrists will provide clinical support and supervision. As a Band 6 Podiatrist you will be encouraged to develop your knowledge and skills and be involved in the clinical education of staff and students. You will work closely with the Diabetes Podiatry Team and the wider foot and ankle services including physiotherapy, orthotics and orthopaedics.
We have a comprehensive training programme and our staff are encouraged and supported in their CPD through workshops and clinical supervision. Participation in audit and research is encouraged.
The position is suitable for a podiatrist keen to develop in the field of MSK podiatry. Applicants must be HCPC registered and have a degree or equivalent in Podiatry with a Local Anaesthesia certificate.
Main duties of the job
The main focus of this role is providing podiatry musculoskeletal (MSK) assessment and treatment, MSK triage services and rheumatology clinics. You will be expected to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate podiatric care for a variety of clinical conditions. You will be required to have good understanding, clinical reasoning skills and practical skills in MSK / biomechanical assessment and orthotic prescriptions, vascular assessment, wound management and nail surgery.
You will take an active role in service development and evaluation in order to drive continuous improvement of the service.

We are currently looking to recruit a Podiatrist to join the CPFT Podiatry Service working in the community in Cambridgeshire. The successful applicant will work primarily in their locality podiatry team but will be required to support the service across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough when needed. We operate out of key sites in Oak Tree Centre/ Doddington Community Hospital/Princess of Wales Hospital/ North Cambs. Hospital/ Chesterton Medical Centre/ City Care Centre.
There is scope for the position to be full or part-time alongside potential for compressed hours (e.g. full-time hours over 4 day weeks or 9 day fortnights).
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be competent across all core areas of Podiatry and have a strong team work ethic and sense of accountability. The successful candidate will work within the Podiatry team to support our core cohort of patients, with scope for specialist practice dependant on the individuals skillset.
We are keen to support and develop our staff through a clear career pathway and encourage promotional opportunities within the Trust. We are seeking an exceptional, motivated and forward-thinking Principal Podiatrist to provide strategic and operational leadership for our award winning multidisciplinary diabetic foot service.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of the largest and most established diabetic foot services in the East of England. You will lead a highly skilled team of specialist podiatrists whilst working closely with consultant colleagues in diabetes, vascular surgery, and orthopaedics in outpatient clinics and inpatient setting. Linking closely with colleagues from the wider multidisciplinary team.
You will combine expert clinical practice with service leadership, workforce development, quality improvement and research. You will play a pivotal role in shaping future service delivery, ensuring provide evidence-based, high-quality care.
This role provides a unique opportunity to combine clinical practice while developing skills in research, innovation and academic leadership within a supportive environment. This role has become available as a fixed term contract while Dr Gooday steps away from frontline clinical leadership to focus on research. She will mentor the successful applicant.

Responsibility for booking and rearranging of appointments for the Surgical Appliance/Orthotic department and the Podiatry service as required.

We have a unique opportunity for you to join our Podiatry department as either a Band 7 or we can support a candidate who is currently at a Band 6 level, to learn and grown, and progress to a Band 7.
The successful Podiatrist will be enthusiastic about providing high quality wound care. You will cover acute podiatry services in both the inpatient, outpatient and renal settings across our 4 main Trust sites. You will be involved in weekly outpatient MDFT, vascular ward rounds, and daily co-ordinating through inpatient pathways through multiple specialities.
Previous experience working in an acute setting is highly desired but not essential, full training and support is provided.
Please note: should the applicant be appointed at Band 6 level, this will be a linked-grade role, with the opportunity to progress to Band 7 upon successful completion of the required competencies.

Main duties of the job
- Providing specialist podiatry care for both in-patients and out-patients across our Trust. You will be responsible for the highest standards of specialist clinical practice in delivering podiatry services, within agreed national and local policies and clinical guidelines.
- Work as part of a team of podiatrists working across the in-patient and out-patient settings and you are expected to work closely and effectively with other health care professionals in securing high standards of multidisciplinary care for all patients.
- You will be expected to work in the OCDEM Diabetic Outpatient Foot Clinic, and work/liaise with other ward based health. professionals and patients/public in all aspects of their care and service delivery.
The department has an ongoing education programme and there are supported CPD opportunities. For applicants who have no previous hospital experience there is the opportunity to develop through a structured competency-based programme. There will also be the opportunity for you to be involved in a growing research portfolio within the department.

Job summary
We are looking for podiatrists with a keen interest in NHS health care where prevention and self help strategies is key to foot health and general health and wellbeing. If you are interested in working in a supportive team environment, developing life long skills in the management of a diverse caseload where patients have high risk health conditions, we would like to hear from you. You need to show resilience, initiative and an aptitude for patient-centred, structured care planning with empathetic communication skills, including reviewing of caseload and discharging patients.
This is a development post (band 5 to band 6) and would suit podiatrists already working in the NHS at band 5 level and a minimum of 12 month post graduate experience working as a podiatrist.
Main duties of the job

Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients; goal setting with your patients; implement care plans including utilizing a variety of treatment modalities; signposting to health care and self-management advice; safety netting patients with feet at high risk; correspond with other services; work as part of a supportive team.
This post requires a podiatrist who will work as part of the team providing a high standard of clinical care in community clinic and home settings. The post holder will be expected to assess, diagnose, develop and implement individualized programs of care for patients with a wide variety of clinical needs. The post holder will also be expected to plan and manage their own caseload and work closely with senior colleagues in providing specialist care for patients with high foot risk.

We are looking for a highly motivated podiatrist, who is passionate about their profession and enjoys making a difference to people's lives. You will be expected to work at an advanced level and should aspire to lead, educate and develop others in the team.

The service works closely with district nursing teams, tissue viability nurses, and local integrated teams. as well as linking with the wider MDT and PCN networks. We have a direct pathway into the Diabetic Foot Clinic at West Middlesex University Hospital.
Main duties of the job
In our vibrant and multi-cultural community, you will work from well-equipped clinic sites delivering care close to home. You will assess, diagnose, and provide high quality podiatric care to people with complex foot health needs and lower limbs that are at risk. There is emphasis on diabetes foot protection due to the high incidence of diabetes in the population we serve,
You will be responsible for agreeing care plans with patients that support self-management and optimise foot health, in line with service priorities, and you will be expected to manage complex patients at an advanced level.
You will be required to visit housebound patients in their own homes, so you must be able to drive and have access to a car to support their needs.
You will work autonomously as well as alongside others, so you need to be flexible and well organised. You will be responsible for managing other people's workload so need to be great at teamworking and problem solving. You will also need excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with our diverse patient population and with various other health care teams and stakeholders.

This is an exciting time to join the Surrey Downs Health and Care Podiatry Team as we continue to develop, transform and evolve our podiatry services for the future, offering the successful candidate a valuable opportunity to help shape and influence service delivery. We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and forward-thinking Band 7 Team Lead Podiatrist to become part of our progressive and supportive community-based service in Surrey.
The successful candidate will work across a variety of settings, including community clinics and domiciliary visits, managing a diverse caseload and providing treatment for a wide range of podiatric conditions. This role offers flexibility to develop a specialist interest, whether in MSK, Wound care, Diabetes, Nail surgery, or General podiatry.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, the role includes leadership duties such as teaching, mentoring and supervising both students and qualified podiatrists, as well as undertaking line management responsibilities. We are seeking a candidate who is reliable, motivated and committed to ongoing professional development, with strong organisational and communication skills, excellent time management and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Applicants must have experience managing high-risk patients and a proven background in community podiatry services. Experience in nail surgery is desirable.
Main duties of the job
- To lead and professionally support a team of podiatrists within Surrey Downs Health and Care.
- To lead in the evaluation, planning and implementation of service redesign and related policies and procedures, in liaison with podiatry clinical Lead and operational manager.
- To be integrally involved in the supporting both clinical lead and operational management of the podiatry service, embracing evidence-based medicine and developments in podiatric practice.
- To lead podiatry team based continuous professional development (CPD) activities, participate in podiatry service wide CPD activities, and participate in the development of the podiatry service and co-owners as a team of managers.
- To lead on clinical audits, service pilots/projects and other research activities to support the development of evidence based practice.
