This is a unique opportunity to join a growing NHS

Each year we handle over £6bn of NHS compensation claims in

reduce future claims against the NHS, and support Trusts and GP practices in

We
are looking for an exceptional clinical leader to join us as Deputy Director of
Maternity Programmes and Evaluations a new and substantial senior leadership role for the
organisation that engages across the healthcare system, and with a diverse
range of stakeholders, to deliver NHS Resolutions strategic aims and priorities
in relation to maternity.
The post holder will be accountable to the Director
of Safety and Learning
and will be responsible for leading and delivering two national maternity safety initiatives (Early
Notification Scheme (ENS) and Maternity Incentive Scheme (MIS)); and overseeing
robust evaluations of both schemes during 2024/25, ensuring delivery of these
alongside a rigorous focus on improving
patient safety.
Main duties of the job
The
Deputy Director of Maternity
Programmes & Evaluations will
bring practical, senior level clinical experience and expertise of patient
safety initiatives, and will have the vision, leadership and communication
skills required to deliver this important and high profile work.
The
post holder will lead on building and maintaining relationships with senior
external representatives and professional bodies to champion and raise the
profile of NHSRs role as a system leader in patient safety. the Deputy Director of Maternity Programmes &
Evaluations will provide overall leadership of the MIS, ENS and Evaluations
teams, ensuring delivery with a rigorous focus on improving patient safety
We are seeking
an experienced clinician with exceptional communication skills who is able to
engage widely and build on our constructive working partnerships across the
health and care system.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical
skills and the credibility to engage and influence on the wide range of
clinical issues which lead to claims, and sound understanding of patient safety.
You will lead a fantastic, multi-skilled and motivated team to deliver this
work, including a number of clinical fellows who work hand in hand with our
claims staff, our corporate teams and our panel law firms to deliver unique
insights to the NHS. A track record of engaging and developing high performing teams is
therefore also sought

Safety and Learning: supporting the NHS to better understand and learn from claims, concerns and disputes; to target safety activity while sharing learning across the NHS.
