Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Trust Doctor to join the Paediatric team in a fixed term role. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about providing outstanding care to children and their families.

The Paediatric Department comprises a Children's Ward, Children's Outpatients and Neonatal Unit.

Main duties of the job

* Undertake ward rounds on Children's Ward

* Assessing patients in the PAU

* Support timely completion of discharge summaries

* Initial assessments and initiate treatment in newly admitted babies to the Neonatal Unit

* Offer support and advice to the maternity staff

Qualifications

Essential

  • Full GMC registration
  • MB BS (or equiv)

Desirable

  • NLS
  • APLS

Knowledge/skills

  • Evidence of participation in audit

  • Evidence of previous paediatric experience
  • Level 2 safeguarding (or above)

Other

  • Excellent communication
