Job summary

Specialty doctor in anaesthesia role requires a committed anaesthetist with skills and knowledge to be a valuable part of the anaesthetic team. There will be availability for PDP expansion and support at all times from senior colleagues. It is envisaged the successful candidate will develop and lead specific areas of service provision they are interested in.

Main duties of the job

Elective list cover for theatre lists including general surgery, gynaecology and urology.

Emergency cover as necessary including ITU, General and Obstetric cover out of hours

About us

Anaesthetic department consists of 32 substantive consultants and about 15 SAS grades including many clinical fellows. The department also has rotating trainees that complete different stages of training.

The theatre list cover will involve general surgery, gynaecology, colorectal, vascular, urology, trauma, CEPOD and T&O lists.
