opportunity has become available for a Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker on Lickey
Ward at the Princess of Wales Community Hospital, part of Herefordshire &
Worcestershire Health & Care NHS Trust

Main duties of the job
Work as a
member of the multi-disciplinary team promoting the continuity of patient
rehabilitation and care as planned.
To be
pro-active in assisting the organisation with nursing and therapy activities.
To
contribute to the development and evaluation of nursing care.
Good
opportunities exist for further training and development within the role. You
will be joining an enthusiastic, supportive, and friendly Multi-Disciplinary
Team. You will receive support and development through in-service training,
regular appraisals, a personal development plan and clinical supervision.

Qualifications
Essential
- Level 2 qualification (e.g. GCSE Grade A-C, NVQ2) in Care OR A good standard of general education to GCSE level and will be expected to undertake the relevant Level 2 qualification on appointment to post
- Will be expected to meet the Care Certificate standards within 12 weeks of commencing employment with the Trust
- I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer
Knowledge
Essential
- Recognise peoples right to privacy and dignity, treating every person with respect
- Must understand basic requirements for individualised personal care
Desirable
- Basic IT Skills
- Awareness of Safeguarding issues
Experience

- Working with adults in a care setting

- Nursing experience within the NHS / Hospital Setting
