Job summary

We are a growing team at Drs Reddy & Nunn supporting the healthcare needs of over 26,500 patients, and due to internal movement, we are looking for a Medical Administrator to complement our friendly and supportive team. If you are enthusiastic and have great people and communication skills, we would like to hear from you.

Drs Reddy & Nunn are dedicated to delivering excellent healthcare to our patients. We currently have two bases: at the Bridlington Medical Centre and at Bridlington Hospital.

We have a diverse clinical and admin team each operating with a mixture of fresh staff bringing new ideas and approaches mixed with long standing staff who bring a wealth of experience and unrivalled dedication to the practice.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for administrative functions in the office including but not limited to:

Greeting and navigating patients to the appropriate Health Care Professional.

To act as central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team.

Scanning of letters and results into computer.

Full training is available for the successful candidate.

The position is full-time 37.5 hours per week.

Job responsibilities

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties and the provision of general support to the practices' multidisciplinary team.

Duties can include, but are not limited to, signposting patients to the appropriate healthcare professional or service, effective use of the appointment system, the processing of information and assisting patients as required, always delivering a polite and professional service

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working with the public in a customer service environment.
  • A clear, polite telephone manner and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a primary care environment is advantageous.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Customer Service qualification (NVQ) or equivalent.

Desirable

  • Active signposting or Care Navigator training qualification.
  • Healthcare qualification (level 2) or working towards gaining equivalent level.
