An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Crafts Person (Mechanical / Plumbing) to work within our Estates Services team.

Main duties of the job

An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Crafts Person (Mechanical / Plumbing) to work within our Estates Services team.

The successful candidate will be qualified to a minimum City & Guilds level 2 (or equivalent) in Mechanical / Plumbing/Building maintenance and possess a group 'A' full current driving licence.

Experienced in all types of building maintenance, you will have proven knowledge of health and safety, good communication skills and remain calm under pressure.

A CSCS card would also be an advantage.

Working a 37.5 hr week you would be working across sites the Trust manages throughout the region - a van is provided for use whilst on Trust business.

About us

As part of the Estates team you will also be required (following a period of induction) to participate in an on-call rota outside normal working hours, additional payments will be made for this.

You will be required to undertake reactive/planned maintenance and installation work in a variety of Trust premises maintain high technical standards of workmanship and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements by action and advice as necessary.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Qualified to relevant City and Guilds or equivalent NVQ Level 3 in relevant trade

Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Experience in carrying out maintenance work within NHS Multi-Site environments.
  • Proven post City and Guilds or NVQ qualification or substantial General Building, Mechanical Plumbing experience
  • Knowledge of safe use of tools and equipment
