Job summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to join our Estates Engineering Team. In this role you will play a key role in ensuring the Trust's critical services operate 24/7, managing Planned Preventative Maintenance, emergency breakdowns, and installations across multiple sites, with on-call duties covered on a rota basis.
Main duties of the job
- Effectively advise, instruct and train colleagues, and other groups, in the safe operation of equipment and systems.
- Liaise with Senior Trust staff to discuss complex Estates work related issues where there may be barriers to understanding and provide concise and detailed responses both verbally and in writing.
- Communicate complex technical and safety advice effectively with a wide range of groups including department colleagues, other Trust staff groups, contractors, patients and the general public, particularly in a potential emergency situation. This may be delivered as formal training, or informally as part of the Maintenance Manager's daily routine, but will always ensure compliance with all recognized safety standards and procedures
- Liaise with the Estates Operations Manager to assist with managing the Estates Operations revenue budget for pay and non-pay ensuring that the Trust obtains good value for money and applying best practice budget management techniques in full compliance with Trust SFIs.
- Keep knowledge and skills up-to-date and attend regular Authorised Person refresher courses to ensure authorisation remains current. Attend and complete all Trust mandatory training.

Main duties of the job
To provide clinical expertise through the role of Oncology Day Unit manager to manage and develop the service . The post holder will work in close liaison with the other Unit Manager, and other Deputy Sister/ Deputy Charge Nurses, Matrons, Practice Development Team (PDT) and the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to provide the highest quality of assessment and evaluated care required to support each patient in their care pathway and improve the patient experience.
Candidates should be working within the SACT service and have significant post registration experience including previous experience of giving SACT and managing toxicities/acute oncology symptoms.
Enhanced knowledge and decision-making skills are essential and completion of, the clinical skills course or equivalent would be an advantage.

The postholder will be the lead People and Organisational Development (POD) project manager and will support projects across the full range of the POD function. The role sits within the Intensive Support Function of the West Hertfordshire Specialist Learning Disability Service. You will be joining a highly dedicated and creative Occupational Therapy service and will be encouraged and supported to undertake learning and development opportunities both in clinical and leadership fields

Main duties of the job
The Intensive Support Team (IST) work intensively with adults (18+) with learning disabilities who are experiencing significant mental health difficulties or whose behaviours pose a challenge.
The Occupational Therapist will provide high quality, comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for specified service user group with complex needs
They will work in an interdisciplinary way to assess service user's needs, devise care plans and evaluate outcomes and to carry a caseload as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Provide clinical advice and support for service users that present with behaviour that challenges and require support with their mental health.
Work directly with service users, carers, colleagues and other service providers.
Deliver training and education to other professionals/carers/family.
To continue to develop Occupational Therapy provision within the service and drive innovation with support from the Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist and Professional Lead Occupational Therapist.

Job summary
The Occupational Therapy Assistant assists the Occupational Therapist to enable patients to participate in meaningful activity, one-to-one or group intervention work and to facilitate the building of skills and access to resources for sustainable recovery and timely discharge. You will also assist with assessments using the MOHOST Single Observation Tool.
Under direction from the Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant will plan and implement both individual and group interventions within the ward environments, and in the local community following assessment by the occupational therapist.
You will support patients to achieve goals around independence, and to symptoms and to build a meaningful life.
You will assist patients with graded plans to access community resources, to work on building their daily living skills or help them engage in activities that they identify as meaningful to them and their recovery.
The Occupational Therapy Assistant will also develop positive working relationships with community partner agencies supporting effective partnership working. You will actively be supporting the patient to link up with community resources and groups that will support the patient's discharge and allow them to continue accessing these to maintain their wellbeing and prevent readmission.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be able to:
Assist and support a comprehensive Occupational Therapy treatment program for Service Users under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to overall provision of a high quality service.
Maintain clear links with the profession's structures and your professional leads within the Trust and adhere to the professional standards and codes of conduct.
Build a collaborative relationship with Service Users that will promote engagement in the therapeutic process.
In liaison with the Occupational Therapists, to select activities appropriate to Service User needs and carry these out.
Engage with a service user to develop or maintain skills for independent living such as cooking, managing the home environment, creating an activity timetable, managing self-care, increasing exercise tolerance.
Communicate objective treatment outcomes for defined Service Users both verbally through MDT evaluations, team integration and telephone and non-verbally through documentation.
Actively engage in clinical supervision with a designated Occupational Therapist.

The opportunity has arisen for us to recruit one enthusiastic and committed Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (Trainee PWPs) to join our expanding North Yorkshire NHS Talking Therapies Service (previously known as IAPT prior to the national rebranding).
This role is a training position, which is due to last for 1 year. If your Right to Work is based on a Visa that will expire before the end of the programme and subsequent qualification, it may not be possible to employ you in the role. At present, this programme does not meet the requirements for skilled worker visa sponsorship under the UK Home Office guidelines. As a result, we are unable to accept applications from those requiring offer visa sponsorship in order to complete the programme.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will provide Low Intensity interventions whilst undertaking the PG Certificate in Low Intensity Interventions delivered by Sheffield University which commences in October 2026. This training post will equip you to provide Step 2 Guided Self Help Low Intensity Interventions to clients with a range of common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression in primary care, for which CBT interventions are demonstrated to be clinically effective.
North Yorkshire NHS Talking Therapies service is well known for its innovative approaches to working with perinatal women, Vulnerable Veterans, older adults and our commitment to staff wellbeing. We currently have champion work currently occupied by our Step 2 workforce. The service also has a strong commitment to in house and external CPD and places high importance on clinical and caseload management supervision to support you in developing your career.
