Main duties of the job
About the Role
As Mental Health Matron, you'll lead the mental health team within the prison healthcare service, ensuring the delivery of effective, compassionate, and patient-centred care. You'll be a key member of the leadership team, working closely with the Head of Healthcare and partner organisations to develop integrated care pathways and drive service improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing clinical and operational leadership to the mental health team
- Leading on governance, quality assurance, and service development
- Managing recruitment, supervision, and performance of staff
- Ensuring compliance with CQC, safeguarding, and security standards
- Supporting innovation and continuous improvement in care delivery
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to optimise care pathways

Job summary
We are looking to recruit a full-time First Contact Physiotherapist (37.5 hours per week) to join our established and experienced team. This is a 5-month fixed-term position providing maternity cover and offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive, collaborative, and patient-focused environment.
As a First Contact Physiotherapist, you will work on-site in GP practices as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team. You will assess, diagnose, and manage MSK patients at the first point of contact - with full autonomy and clinical support.

Job summary
We are looking for a passionate individual with relevant experience working as a senior therapy support worker to join our Integrated Therapy Team as a band 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner. Applicants need to have a willingness to learn and develop in line with the collaborative ethos of the team and service as well as a passion for providing therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation to people with neurological and complex physical and cognitive presentations. This exciting role will work across sites at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and Alexandra Hospital supporting the Acute Stroke and Complex Care and Neurology teams. The role will require the successful applicant to work alongside the therapy team and independently with a defined caseload. They will provide skilled therapeutic input on rotation between both Teams, gaining experience, knowledge and skills through specific training and CPD opportunities as well as experiential learning and development. The successful applicant will join an existing team of Therapy Assistant Practitioners within the Service and have opportunities to further develop the role and their knowledge and skills, supported by a team of highly experienced qualified Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy clinicians.
Main duties of the job
Rotation between the Acute Stroke Team and the Complex Care/Neuro Team.
In each area the role will involve application of core skills of patient assessment and treatment to support the acute phase of rehabilitation.
Maintenance of a home first approach with the aim of facilitating most appropriate ongoing management and support on discharge while recognising and supporting the complex needs of some patients requiring longer term inpatient rehabilitation.
Completion of competencies to support TAP role.
Provision of patient assessment within competent scope of practice and with a defined patient caseload.
Provision of therapeutic treatment with an integrated approach.
Completion of community visits as required and with support where needed (competencies are associated with this).
Assessment for and provision of equipment where needed to support safe and optimal function.
Attendance to meet caseload need across both Worcester and Redditch sites - this may be flexible and variable dependent upon caseload but could require attendance at Redditch for some or part of the week most weeks with Worcester being the main base for both the Acute Stroke and Complex Care/Neuro Teams.

Risk Assessment -
This post involves frequent manual handling activities e.g. hoisting, positioning, assisting sitting/standing, transferring, toileting, providing personal care, giving physical support during walking practice/exercise and occasional pushing of large items of equipment/furniture. There is a frequent requirement for moderate physical effort, including repetitive techniques e.g. passive exercises, bed exercises, and an occasional requirement for intensive physical effort for several short periods throughout the day, including loading and unloading of equipment from transportation. The ability to safely use tools to adjust equipment is required. Close contact with patients frequently exposes the post holder to bodily fluids/infections e.g. sputum, urine, blood, vomit, and faeces. The above can be occasional and carried out within the acute hospital or within a patients home environment. The above requires the ability to ensure the safety of both patients and staff. Job Purpose -
Working as part of the Therapy and wider MDT, Therapy Assistant Practitioners (TAP) use enhanced skills in a specialist area to provide direct high quality and effective therapeutic care and support to a defined group of patients. Within the scope of the role, the post holder will independently (unsupervised) plan and deliver individual or group tasks where the understanding of role boundaries and the importance of supervision and carrying out delegated tasks and plans is essential.
This role requires understanding of factual and theoretical knowledge of principles, policies, protocols, procedures, processes within a defined group of patients. Although work is guided by standard operating procedures and protocols, the post holder must be able to make judgements to plan activities assess, treat and progress/grade and adapt treatment of patients in line with competencies set and assessed by the Registered Therapist. This knowledge should be utilised to contribute to effective discharge planning as part of the MDT.
The post holder will also co-ordinate and assist with the training and management of other Therapy Support Workers, thus providing a quality and effective support service to the Therapy Team. Risk Assessment -
This post involves frequent manual handling activities e.g. hoisting, positioning, assisting sitting/standing, transferring, toileting, providing personal care, giving physical support during walking practice/exercise and occasional pushing of large items of equipment/furniture. There is a frequent requirement for moderate physical effort, including repetitive techniques e.g. passive exercises, bed exercises, and an occasional requirement for intensive physical effort for several short periods throughout the day, including loading and unloading of equipment from transportation. Job Purpose -
Working as part of the Therapy and wider MDT, Therapy Assistant Practitioners (TAP) use enhanced skills in a specialist area to provide direct high quality and effective therapeutic care and support to a defined group of patients. Within the scope of the role, the post holder will independently (unsupervised) plan and deliver individual or group tasks where the understanding of role boundaries and the importance of supervision and carrying out delegated tasks and plans is essential.
This role requires understanding of factual and theoretical knowledge of principles, policies, protocols, procedures, processes within a defined group of patients. Although work is guided by standard operating procedures and protocols, the post holder must be able to make judgements to plan activities assess, treat and progress/grade and adapt treatment of patients in line with competencies set and assessed by the Registered Therapist. This knowledge should be utilised to contribute to effective discharge planning as part of the MDT.
The post holder will also co-ordinate and assist with the training and management of other Therapy Support Workers, thus providing a quality and effective support service to the Therapy Team. They will contribute to service development and demonstrate personal development as well as being responsible for supervision of others and delegation of tasks to other non-registered staff.

Job summary
To support the Career Development and Apprenticeship Team in the delivery and evaluation of the Care Certificate and Care Certificate Supervisor programmes to meet service priorities and quality standards. Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have up to date experience in a hospital setting delivering care. A foundation degree in health or equivalent teaching qualification is required.
They will have experience in delivering clinical education or have had a mentorship/ supervisory role in practice. They will be familiar with the Care Certificate induction and its standards and be able to teach new support staff on induction to the hospital, including resuscitation and vital signs.
Microsoft skills will be required to enable them to plan lessons and create PowerPoint presentations for teaching . Delivery of the level 2 and level 3 healthcare apprenticeship teaching and assessing will be part of this role so having the TAQA qualification would be essential.

Main duties of the job
This post is within our friendly, supportive and innovative Early Years Speech and Language Therapy Team.
You will work in our core team offering intervention for parents and children under 5 years old in a range of communication difficulties. We work closely with parents and early years practitioners, providing workshops and 1:1 sessions, both virtually and face-face. You will also be assessing children to determine their correct clinical pathway and providing assessments as part of the EHCP process. In addition, you will be involved in service development and audits.

Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join Whittington Health and contribute to the provision of a community pain service in Haringey. We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled clinical or counselling psychologist with a keen interest in pain management to take on this role.
The post holder will join a multidisciplinary pain team that includes Pain Consultants, Pain Psychologists, Advanced Practice Physiotherapists, Pain Management Physiotherapists, service manager and administrative staff. The post involves close working with MDT members to provide holistic care to treat persistent pain in a community setting so strong communication and team-working skills are essential. The post holder will ideally have some post-qualification clinical and consulting experience in the area of physical health care (including chronic health conditions) and with self-management groups. The successful candidate will be offering evidence-based pain psychology assessments and interventions for persistent pain patients.
The post holder will be supervised by the lead clinical psychologist and will have access to Whittington Health CPD for mental health professionals. We also have close links with our neighbouring pain psychology team, Whittington secondary care pain team for network meetings and CPD.

Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist looking to develop your skills in a supportive and dynamic community setting?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our Intermediate Care Team. This role is ideal for a newly qualified Occupational Therapist or someone looking to build their experience within rehabilitation, reablement and community services.
Working as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will support people to regain their independence, achieve their goals and remain safely in their own homes following illness, injury or hospital admission.
About the Role
As a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, you will manage your own caseload, carrying out holistic assessments and delivering person-centred interventions that promote recovery, independence and wellbeing.
You will:
- Assess individuals within their own homes and community settings.
- Develop and implement rehabilitation and reablement plans tailored to individual needs.
- Support safe discharge from hospital and help prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.
- Assess functional abilities and support people to achieve meaningful goals.
- Recommend and provide equipment and minor adaptations to maximise independence.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, physiotherapists, support workers, social care teams and other healthcare professionals.
- Support patients, families and carers to develop confidence and self-management skills.
