Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, reliable and highly motivated individual to join our dedicated team at our University Hospital Coventry Hospital of St Cross sites, as a Band 2 Assistant.
Shift pattern over a 7-day week (Sun-Sat).
You will be part of a large clinical team, on numerous sites, providing support to a variety of staff groups including Consultants, Nurses and Sonographers within the General Ultrasound Department. Duties involve assisting with patient care before, during and after imaging examinations, coordinating the movement of inpatients with porters, cleaning of scan rooms and stock control.
It is essential the successful candidate enjoys working with people and has a genuine interest in patient care. You must have excellent communication skills, work well as part of a team, but also have the ability to use your initiative and work individually.

Job responsibilities
- To assist patients in preparation for, and whilst undergoing, routine and specialised radiographic examinations. Establish and maintain a good communication channel with patients to support patient confidence.
- To observe and care for patients whilst waiting for examinations and communicate any concerns to trained staff as appropriate.
- To check patient identification and documentation in accordance with departmental protocols and clinical requests.

- To be familiar with, understand and apply the principles of Radiation Safety, both nationally and locally regulated or protocol led.

Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 3 Physiotherapy Support Worker to join the Newport Physiotherapy Team. The post will be split between acute medical inpatients (3 days) in Royal Gwent Hospital and Neurophysiotherapy Outpatients (2 days) St Woolos Hospital.
We are seeking a strong team player with excellent communication skills, displaying the ability to effectively manage time and priorities.
You will work closely with a team of registered physiotherapists and HCSW providing clinical support to patients during their acute inpatient stay, optimising functional recovery and facilitating safe discharges into the community. In Neuro Physiotherapy Outpatients you will support the registered physiotherapists delivering different exercise groups and individual patient appointments. You will also support with non clinical aspects including administration and housekeeping.
Main duties of the job
The post is predominantly clinical. Under the delegation of Physiotherapists you will support patients rehabilitation journey. There is opportunity to hold your own delegated case load of patients exercise plans.
There will be an element of non-clinical duties attached to your role. This will include supporting with audits, basic administration and housekeeping duties, stock taking, and using computer based systems i.e. ordering of walking aids.
The Physiotherapy Service encourages staff development; you will be supported to complete the Agored Level 3 Diploma In Physiotherapy Support, which will enable you to manage your own designated caseload, delivering interventions under the supervision of a Physiotherapist. We have a structured personal appraisal system in place with annual reviews underpinned by the Knowledge and Skills Framework.

Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced Planning Radiographer/Dosimetrist to join the UCLH dosimetry team as part of the radiotherapy and proton therapy physics team.
Applicants should be State registered or equivalent. Experience of treatment planning using Varian Eclipse planning system is desirable. The successful applicant will join a growing team of dosimetrists liaising closely with physics, clinical and radiographic staff in the provision of radiotherapy and proton therapy physics services.
The ability to work and communicate effectively with minimum supervision is essential.Candidates must have a clinical background with good knowledge of relevant anatomy, physiology, and pathology. As the dosimetry team is hybrid working, a good understanding of using Microsoft Teams is also an essential requirement for this position.
Main duties of the job
The dosimetry team will be expected to produce photon and proton treatment plans for the UCLH casemix, including treatment complex sarcoma, head and neck, neurological and paediatric cancers.
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in multidisciplinary discussions in order to produce the best treatment options for the patient.
The postholder will support the Senior dosimetrist in ensuring treatment planning pathways are delivered in a timely fashion across the radiotherapy and proton therapy services.
The postholder will support the development of new and existing techniques including production of the standard operating procedures and training competencies for staff

Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants who as a team provide high quality therapy intervention to patients across Emergency, Acute General Medicine, Trauma and High Care Unit.
As part of a multi professional team you will identify and undertake a comprehensive assessment of need at the point of hospital admission and deliver rehabilitation interventions to maximise the recovery of patients.
Key areas of responsibility will be:
- Delivery of early therapy intervention post operatively and/or during the first 24 hours of hospital admission.
- Assessment, intervention and treatment of patients with Respiratory Physiotherapy amenable conditions.
- Implementation of programmes that minimise sedentary behaviour during the hospital stay.
- Supporting prevention (where appropriate) and early resolution/management of delirium and other cognitive spectrum disorders through physical and cognitively stimulating activities.
- Collaborating with local health and social care providers to minimise institutionalisation through a 'home first' approach to hospital discharge.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide high quality, safe and effective Physiotherapy services to patients across Acute and Emergency Medicine, including Trauma and High Care.
With support of the wider MDT, you will be expected to work collaboratively with patients and their carers to effectively assess, goal plan and treat patients in the Emergency Department and/or following admission to hospital. The post holder will strive to maximise patients' independence and quality of life, working towards the wider Therapy aims of early intervention, active recovery and discharge. The post holder will also provide assessment and intervention to patients with Respiratory Physiotherapy amenable conditions.
The post holder will be involved in student education and supervision, and there are opportunities to be involved in supervising junior members of staff. Support from senior members of the team will be provided and education, training and development is supported. Job summary
The Senior Implementation and Engagement Officer will support delivery of the Perinatal Equity and Anti-Discrimination Programme (PEADP), a national programme commissioned by NHS England to address racism and discrimination in perinatal services across England. Programme delivery is led by the Observatory in partnership with Advancing Quality Alliance (Aqua), Inspiring Hope, and White Ribbon Alliance UK.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 1 x part-time Qualified Paramedic or band 5 Technician to join us on an job-share basis at Scunthorpe Ambulance Station in Lincolnshire . The successful candidate will work 12.75 hours a week.

You will respond to emergency and urgent patients using advanced driving skills and utilising visual (blue lights) and audible (sirens) warnings. To transport patients, relatives and carers to other care providers whilst driving at both normal road speed and/or emergency conditions.
You will act in accordance with EMAS clinical policies, procedures, protocols and patient group directives and adhere to and promote EMAS values whilst dealing with patients, carers, relatives, ambulance service colleagues and colleagues from other emergency services.
Main duties of the job
Paramedics respond to critical emergency and urgent situations, delivering high quality and effective pre-hospital clinical care and patient transportation, responding to 999 emergencies, inter-hospital transfers and urgent hospital admissions.
Working in a crew or solo, a paramedic will use advanced driving skills under blue light and normal traffic conditions to respond to and transport emergency and routine patients as required.
In an emergency, you will use high-tech equipment, such as defibrillators (which can restore the heart's rhythm), spinal and traction splints and intravenous drips, as well as administering oxygen and drugs. You will deal with a range of different people and situations, working shifts, in all weathers.
You will hold a current up to date HCPC registration.
You hold a full clean driving licence with a C1 category (applicants with a minor speeding offense may be considered, with no more than 3 points). You will need to provide evidence that you have completed a qualification allowing you to drive under blue light conditions in a C1 size vehicle (examples, IHCD D1/D2 or Futurequals Emergency Ambulance Driving).

We are seeking a motivated, flexible, skilled Occupational Therapist with a special interest in Rehabilitation to join our integrated Therapy team at the Friary hospital to maximise patient's function and support them to return to their chosen discharge destination.
We work very closely with the nursing team on the ward, and the discharge planning process is Therapy Lead. The Victoria Ward at the Friary Hospital provides a key service for the population of Richmondshire to enable them to receive intervention closer to home. We receive patients from a range of different hospital trusts in the area.
We work closely with the Community Therapy teams in Hambleton and Richmondshire and there may be occasions when we are required to support them, given that we cover a large rural geographical area there is an expectation that you will be able to travel independently in order to access other sites within the trust as well as complete rehab in the community for a period of up to 2 weeks post discharge.

To work as a senior Occupational Therapist within the therapy team at the Friary Hospital and the community therapy team at a highly specialised and advanced level, managing highly complex cases where there may be multiple pathologies.

Job summary
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and proficient individual who is trained within the field of Echocardiography and holds up to date BSE accredited in Adult TTE.
The successful candidate will be employed on at Band 7 and will be expected to complete internal departmental competencies.
This is an unrivalled opportunity to work at the leading edge of cardiac technology and patient care in a dynamic and innovative environment. Working with state-of-the-art echocardiographic equipment in a fully digital lab you will have the opportunity to work in all aspects of echocardiography, including 3D, in one of the North's leading cardiac centres.
The department offers a range of imaging procedures/clinics such as Transthoracic, TOE, DSE, Dedicated Oncology Monitoring Clinic and CRT optimisation.
As a leading tertiary centre, we offer and encourage extended roles at present these are within Research and Audit. Echocardiographers are supported through the clinical skills assessment course for the Physiologist lead valve clinics, They provide image support within our well established Structural Heart disease program (TAVI and Paravalvular closure ). Along with Physiologist led TOE and Exercise Echo.
Main duties of the job
Due to the departments infrastructure if the successful candidate has relevant experience/competence in Cardiac Cath labs, PPCI, TAVI, CRM device implants these will be maintained and they will participate in the Cath lab on call service.
The Echocardiography Unit is a large busy department split across 2 sites, the James Cook University Hospital and the Friarage. In addition, we work at number of external community clinics.
Some of the duties will include:
- Perform echocardiograms on both inpatients and outpatients to a high standard, at all trust sites
- Provide clear and accurate reports on echocardiograms.
- Ensure that reports generated by non-specialist cardiac physiologists and cardiology registrars are comprehensive, clear and accurate.
- Play an active role in the supervision and training of medical and technical staff in all areas of echocardiography.
- To join with our imaging cardiologists and Operational lead in echography in developing high quality echocardiography across the trust.
- Extended role development - contrast and stress echocardiography, TOE,CRT, 3D, simple SCHD and specialist valve clinics, specialist cath lab support for TAVI and structural heart disease procedures with possible development into MRI, Physiology lead TOE and Paediatric clinics.
- To facilitate training and accreditation of technical and trainee medical staff to contribute significantly to regular echo review meetings

The SEND Paediatric Occupational Therapy team are looking for a new Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join us!
We deliver occupational therapy provision as specified within Education Health and Care Plans ( EHCPs) with schools, colleges and homes. We support children and young people to access education and learning within these settings working in partnership with the child or young person's wider support network including teaching staff and family/carers.

Job summary
The Palliative Care Unit at North Tyneside General Hospital is looking for an Occupational Therapist with an interest in Palliative care to join our lovely team.
We are a 19 bed in-patient unit that provides specialist palliative care for those patients. We care for patients with complex palliative care needs and includes end of life care.
We have a strong MDT work ethos, which is proudly embedded into practice.
We have a part time Occupational Therapist, who works on the unit and this role is to job share with them.
The post is permanent and is contracted for 18.75 hours over 3 days.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic occupational therapist with a passion for palliative care.
We are a lovely team and providing high standards of patient centred care is paramount to us. Given the nature of the role it is essential that the successful candidate possess excellent communication skills.
We are looking for someone who can work well as part of a team and alone when needed.
You will work closely with the rest of the MDT on the unit and will also carry out home assessments.
The trust utilises a range of electronic systems as part of our work, therefore the successful candidate must be able to navigate these systems .
