Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for two full time Speech and Language Therapists to join the Adult Team in BCUHB West area. As a successful applicant you will have the opportunity to work across both community and hospital-based services, providing high-quality communication and dysphagia assessment and intervention to Adults with Acquired Communication and Swallowing Difficulties across Gwynedd and Anglesey. You will work closely with other members of the team to support adults with complex communication and eating/drinking difficulties as part of a holistic, service user centred service and be confident in providing high quality, evidence based assessments and interventions and possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will have a varied caseload of adults who have acquired communication and/or swallowing difficulties, and who require specialist Speech & Language Therapy in a range of locations across Gwynedd and Anglesey. There will be the opportunity to develop specialist skills in areas such as Head and Neck cancer, progressive neurological conditions, voice, and working within hospital-based multi-disciplinary teams. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the development of clinical pathways and projects as well as delivering training, supporting and mentoring staff. You will work closely with the Speech and Language Therapy Team Leaders and other staff to continue to drive and shape our services.
You will be part of our supportive and highly skilled team of SLTs and Technical Instructors. Our friendly and forward thinking department has a strong commitment to CPD and regular clinical supervision. Access to specialist training is available via internal and external courses, as well as mentoring, clinical supervision, attendance at regional and national CEN meetings.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be BACP/UKCP registered/accredited and is required to be eligible and willing to undertake the NHS Talking Therapies training in Counselling for Depression if requested. The post holder will implement a stepped care approach to clinical practice and will work with clients who present with depression and anxiety for which Counselling is demonstrated to be clinically effective and appropriate.
A percentage of the post-holders' clinical contact hours will be filled with triage assessments. The number of triage assessments required per week will be specified by line managers/clinical lead. The role supports Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapists and the wider MDT. Monitoring patients progress and report any changes to the registered therapist. Encouraging patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals and maximising independence for those patients within Stockton and Harlepool area.

Job summary
Are you passionate about working with children with complex needs? We are looking for an experienced, ideally dysphagia qualified, Speech and Language Therapist to manage a caseload of 0-5 year olds with complex needs. You will be supporting these children with their communication development and, if appropriately qualified, their eating, drinking and swallowing skills. You will be working as part of a complex needs team with support and supervision from senior therapists.
The Children's Therapy Services identify, assess, support and manage the health needs of children and young people aged 0-18 years, working closely with children and their families in health settings and family homes; and with education colleagues in early years and school settings.
You will work across South Gloucestershire and Bristol supporting pre-school children with complex needs and their families in the community. Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) is important. Dysphagia competencies would be ideal but are not essential to apply. You will see children for uni-professional appointments and as part of our multi-disciplinary child centred assessments.
This role is offered as a fixed-term contract for 12 months to provide maternity cover.
Main duties of the job
- Dependent on experience, a specialist / highly specialist clinical practitioner, carrying your own (highly) specialist caseload.
- If employed at Band 7 being a source of expertise, providing support, supervision, teaching, advice and consultation across BNSSG. You will offer highly specialist clinical expertise within complex needs (and dysphagia) and carry your own (highly) specialist caseload.
- If employed at Band 7 you will triage new referrals to the team alongside other band 7 practitioners, according to agreed referral criteria.
- If employed at Band 7 you will be responsible for line managing junior colleagues

The Speech and Language Team (SaLT) work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering a high-quality specialist services to individuals with Learning Disabilities.
This role will work across Learning Disabilities to meet the communication and dysphagia needs of this client group. You will be a person-centred SaLT who is committed to advocating for and meeting the needs of Adults with a Learning Disability.
You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist assessment to adults with speech, language and communication needs. You will need to be a skilled assessor who can create speech and language therapy treatment plans support, care plans and interventions that are co-produced with the people you support. You will use clear evidence-based practice to meet the person's needs, with identified clinical effectiveness and outcome measures. You will need excellent communication skills that are adaptable to each person's needs.
Main duties of the job
If you are a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist, who is keen to learn, we can support you to tailor your current clinical skills to working in this role. You will have access to regular caseload and clinical supervision, plus a meaningful annual appraisal that supports you to plan and achieve goals.
The people that we support are individuals and our approach is always person-centred. Working autonomously, the role will be varied and include assessment, planning and implementing evidence-based practice, reviewing and evaluating therapy using therapy outcome measures, provide advice to other professionals regarding the management of clients with communication and dysphagia needs, modifying materials, attending and contributing to MDT and clinical team meetings, report writing and completing administrative tasks relevant to the role.
You must have a Speech and Language degree qualification and be registered with the HCPC. Membership to the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists is desirable.

Job summary
The Bladder and Bowel Service is a multi-professional service working across BNSSG. Adults are seen in clinics to diagnose and treat continence or other bladder and bowel problems. A specialist domiciliary service is offered to housebound patients where the Integrated Network Teams requires additional expert guidance.
The Service is responsible for continence management within nursing & care homes and provide training and advice and guidance to a range of healthcare professionals. BABS also manage the contract for continence products on a home delivery system and collaborate with colleagues across BNSSG to work within the urology and colorectal formulary.
Current working hours of the service: Monday-Friday 8:30-16:30. This post is advertised as 18.75 hours which can be worked over 3 days (preferably over Wed-Fri).
BABS has a flexible hybrid working model. Staff are expected to work from an office base for part of their working week and travel across the BNSSG areas as required for patient appointments, meetings, training, service delivery, covering staff absences, and other operational service needs.
The post holder will work well within the team supporting care homes, health care professionals, patients and carers to provide comprehensive assessment, re-assessments, supporting training and advice and guidance.
The HCA will often work unsupervised, undertaking a range of activities and extended roles having received training and been assessed as competent

In this role, you will provide leadership and clinical expertise to the community Speech and Language Therapy team across North Kent. You will support the day to day coordination of the service, working closely with your co Team Lead to ensure safe, effective and responsive care delivery. Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will manage a specialist clinical caseload, delivering assessment, diagnosis and evidence based interventions for adults with communication and swallowing disorders. You will have the opportunity to further develop your clinical interests and contribute to service improvement initiatives. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, supporting integrated care and ensuring patients receive the right support at the right time. The service covers a diverse caseload including neurological conditions, head and neck cancer, voice and dysfluency, offering a high level of clinical variety. Key responsibilities include:
