Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Senior Sister to join our department. This is a full-time post requires cover over Warwick and Stratford. The department operates Monday to Friday 08:00-17:30
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide clinical and operational leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to lead and motivate teams, and support the development of staff and services.
The post holder will be self-motivated, organised and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. They will support workforce management, patient safety, governance, service improvement and the delivery of quality care.
The Eye Unit is a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary service caring for patients with a wide range of ophthalmic conditions. Our team includes nurses, healthcare support workers, ophthalmologists, optometrists, orthoptist, technicians and administrative staff.
The department comprises a busy outpatient service, caring for patients undergoing ophthalmic surgery under local anaesthetics and a nurse-led anti-VEGF injection service. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team and contribute to the ongoing development of ophthalmology services.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will contribute to the development of the ward team and support the Ward Manager in the delivery of a consistently high quality and cost effective service. To deputise for the Ward Manager as required.

The role of NWAS Vehicle Technician is to ensure all Trust vehicles (Petrol / Diesel / Hybrid and EV) are serviced, repaired and maintained to the Trust and DVSA's exacting standards. The post incorporates the skilled service and repair of specialist ambulance equipment.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant must hold a recognised apprenticeship e.g. Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent experience along with NVQ or C&G level 3 qualifications. A full UK driving license is essential for this post along with having full category C1 entitlement.

Job summary
As a key member of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Team, the post holder will monitor patient pathway progress and support the achievement National targets.
The post holder will act as the focal point for the multidisciplinary team and will be an essential and integral part in the smooth running, administration and organisation of the MDT's within the Gastroenterology and Hepatology service. Main duties of the job
1.Facilitate data collection for patients referred to the: Autoimmune MDT, IgG4 MDT, IBD MDT, Histology Meeting, Nutrition MDT, X-Ray meeting and enter the information onto appropriate database(s)
2.Provide information to support achievement of the national waiting times targets.
3.Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Junior doctors within the Gastro and Hepatology Team.

Applications are invited for the post of Senior Clinical Scientist within the Department of Chemical Pathology and Metabolic Diseases, based at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
The applicant will contribute to service delivery in all sections of the laboratory. 1.1. The NHS Mycology Reference Centre, Manchester offers a highly specialised diagnostic service primarily serving Manchester, the north of England and Scotland but also receives daily referrals from throughout the UK and beyond.
We are continuing to expand and now have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and hard-working HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist to join our well-established and friendly team, working within a modern, well equipped, fully UKAS ISO15189 accredited laboratory.
This post is full-time, working 37.5 hours per week, 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday.
To apply, you must be HCPC accredited as a Biomedical Scientist, with experience working in a Clinical Microbiology/Mycology laboratory.
As a practical test is an important part of the interview process, interviews will take place face-to-face.
Main duties of the job
- To assist the Head of Service in providing a comprehensive scientific service (analytical and interpretative) by the Mycology Reference Centre to nationally accepted standards
- To deliver a broad range of complex, specialised and non-routine scientific work requiring skilled performance with a high level of individual responsibility
- To maintain a high standard of work and contribute to developing the service of the laboratory so that service delivery is safe, effective, and economical and follows best practice according to ISO15189 standard

Staffordshire and Shropshire Health Informatics Service (S&SHIS) is a shared service hosted by Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. We provide a comprehensive portfolio of digital and IT services to NHS organisations across the Staffordshire and Shropshire health economy.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our Service Delivery Team based at Lawton House, Trentham. As a Service Delivery Technician, you will play a key role in supporting healthcare services by providing IT support to staff across our customer organisations.
You will be responsible for logging, investigating and resolving a wide range of IT incidents and service requests, whilst delivering excellent customer service. You will work closely with colleagues across technical and specialist teams to ensure users receive timely and effective support, helping to maintain the digital services that underpin patient care.

Main duties of the job
- Act as the first point of contact for IT support via telephone, self-service and approved channels.
- Log, categorise and manage incidents and service requests within the service management system.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, resolving incidents at first contact where possible.
- Escalate complex issues to specialist teams with accurate and complete supporting information.
- Support service delivery activities including call handling, technical support, equipment deployment and request fulfilment.
- Install, configure and deliver desktop PCs, laptops, printers and other end-user devices.

Job summary
The Cellular Pathology Department at ESHT is looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic 'Band 5 Biomedical Scientist' to join our busy, yet friendly department.
The department is UKAS accredited and IBMS approved for training. We currently process approximately 31,000 histology and 2000 diagnostic cytology samples per annum. The main Histology Department is based at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings with a satellite site based at Eastbourne. Both sites are modern, well equipped and form part of a Managed Service Contract. The department is fully live with digital reporting for Histopathology.
The successful applicant would ideally be HCPC registered and have recent working experience in a routine Cellular Pathology laboratory. We would however welcome applicants who are completing their accredited Biomedical Science degree and/or registration portfolio.
We are searching for an individual who is professional, pro-active, innovative, and able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisation and manual dexterity skills. It is essential to demonstrate a patient focused approach to work and be committed to continual improvement of self, the service and the team.
The post holder will be required to perform a range of routine laboratory activities under the supervision of the Senior Biomedical Scientists or Lead Biomedical Scientist. You should have knowledge of the requirements for maintaining a quality service and adherence to ISO 15189:2012/2022.
Main duties of the job
As a Biomedical Scientist in the Cellular Pathology department at ESHT you'll have experience of working as a Biomedical Scientist within Histopathology, the main duties will include embedding and microtomy along with quality control steps in line with ISO 15189 standards. You will rotate through the roles in the department, providing scientific services to patients and customers to aid pathological diagnosis. You'll assist in workflow management, management of documentation, and general overall performance. You'll also play a vital role in the training and development of junior scientific staff.
We support and encourage our Biomedical Scientists to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities, which could be internal talks and seminars, as well as attending approved courses. We have a dedicated Training officer within our department. The department has full HCPC training status for pre and post registration IBMS portfolios, and full ISO 15189 accreditation.

Main duties of the job

The Bereavement and Mortuary Service at Betsi Cadwaladr Health board is looking for an enthusiastic, committed individual to join them as a qualified Anatomical Pathology Technician.
You will assist in maintaining the Mortuary and body storage services, across the Health board, while working to your vocational and academic qualifications.
This is a mentally and physically challenging role, managing the deceased and bereaved, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
This role is for those that already hold the RSPH Level 3 or 4 in Anatomical Pathology or equivalent qualifications. Banding salary will be dependent on the qualification and experience.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic, self motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Essential quality is being able to demonstrate empathy towards the bereaved. Within the role there will be regular contact with external agencies such as Coroner services, Police and Funeral Directors. Current working knowledge of Home Office & Coronial post mortem requirements and the Human Tissue Authority Standards is also required.
You should be able to assist pathologist to a high-quality standard with Coronial and hospital post-mortems. You will be required to provide mortuary and bereavement cover on other sites within BCUHB.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Job summary
The Nuclear Medicine Physics service at the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board currently operates at the University Hospital of Wales (UHW) site. We currently provide a busy DXA , non-imaging and therapy nuclear medicine service. We also provide support to the sub-region on a daily basis. We are a friendly team of 17 with plans to expand the service over the next few years.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Clinical Technologist or Radiographer at Band 5 to join our supportive and collaborative team. The successful candidate will contribute to areas including clinical, technical and quality assurance.
THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 6 MONTHS
Main duties of the job
Undertake and deliver imaging, non-imaging and therapy services for all types of patients and in the course of their duties.
Provide patient support, counselling and welfare of patients, including ensuring the correct patient preparation and preparation compliance ahead of complex examinations.
Work independently within their scope of practice using a range of highly specialised patient nuclear medicine equipment. They will learn to differentiate between technical and clinical problems and to liaise with suitably qualified colleagues as required.
Deal routinely with patients and their relatives, requiring tact and sensitivity. Patients include paediatric and geriatric, who may be physically or mentally impaired, and all will need dealing with in an empathetic manner, in order to gain the greatest cooperation during highly complex examinations
Work with and handling hazardous substances such as unsealed radioactive sources, blood, and other body fluids, and frequently manoeuvring heavy equipment.
Will deliver excellent patient care while they are in the department this will involve manual handling, often of ill patients, some of which may be being barrier nursed, requiring the implementation of infection control procedures. The post holder will be required to concentrate on a frequent basis.

Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology service (CWPS) has a exciting opportunity for a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to work full time in Haematology and Transfusion and will be based at UHCW laboratory.

Job summary
Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Services (CWPS) offer a range of diagnostics tests across a number of departments. The Cellular Pathology service receives approximately 56,000 cases per year across 3 NHS Trusts; University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, George Eliot NHS Trust and South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust.
CWPS have been given funding for extra laboratory workforce to support in meeting the increasing demand for Histology case processing and Cancer Services across the Trusts. We are looking for a Specialist Dissector or Trainee to join our busy and experienced dissection team.
The successful candidate will hold HCPC registration and will hold the IBMS Diploma of Expert Practice (DEP) for Dissection, a Trainee will have HCPC registration and have experience in dissection working at a band 6 level (with an IBMS Specialist portfolio) and a drive to gain the IBMS DEP in dissection. The post holder will be expected to work at UHCW and South Warwick Hospital sites, with shifts being 7.5 hours between 0700-1900 Monday to Saturday on a rotational basis.
The trainee dissector will be paid as a band 6 until the IBMS DEP is achieved.
The interview likely to be conducted on the week of the 5th October , subject to availability.
Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for performing, allocating and supervising the tasks required for the delivery of a fit for purpose medical laboratory service. Analyses and selects clinical samples to provide a diagnostic service to achieve the objectives of efficient and effective patient care, and effective resource management across the CWPS Network at the UHCW and SWFT sites.
The Histology laboratories are based at University Hospital Coventry and Warwick Hospital. It is an exciting time to join the department as we are currently implementing new laboratory equipment. We have also recently implemented the Sectra Digital Pathology solution and brand new Hamamatsu scanners, and will be upgrading the Pathology LIMS system in 2026.
As a trainee we will support your IBMS DEP dissection qualification with and experienced team to support you, protected time in the working week and external course attendance.
Breadth of specimens are defined but not limited to categories RCpath A-C. These have routine specimens and are covered by detailed SOPs. To understand the limits of their practice and know when to forward cases to pathologists or the Specialist scientific leads. Some training in D and E specimen is expected.

Job summary
The Network of Mortuaries at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire currently have vacancies in the Anatomical Pathology Technician (APT) team. Trainee APTs that are currently undertaking the Level 3 Diploma in APT are also encouraged to apply. Other candidates with mortuary experience who have not yet commenced an APT diploma may be considered for interview should no suitable qualified persons be appointed and will be paid at band 3 until their qualification is complete.
Our Mortuary network cares for over 4,000 patients per year. We are the busiest forensic department in the region serving West Midlands, West Mercia and Warwick Police forces, with over 1,000 patients each year. We undertake a variety of work to include forensic work and we are in the process of expanding our mortuary capacity as we strive to continually improve our services.
Our department of 14 staff work across the sites of UHCW, South Warwick and Rugby St Cross Hospitals. As a trained APT you will be required to have an understanding of current mortuary practice and have knowledge of routine hospital post mortems, high risk cases, Coroner's cases, forensic work and paediatrics, including the documentation and legislation associated with death and organ retention. Previous experience of dealing with the public and being sensitive to cultural needs and dealing with the bereaved is required. All members of our team support the bereavement team.
Main duties of the job
To assist the Network Mortuary Manager and the Senior APTs in the day-to-day running of the Trust's mortuaries, performing a broad range of technical work activities ensuring that the provision of an efficient service that is in accordance with Trust, Coroner's and Department of Health regulations and requirements.
To participate in the on call service for the forensic services (including out of hours) and be available whenever possible for any hospital enquiries, working across all 3 sites.
We expect the candidate to be computer literate as the role involves the use of Microsoft packages.
A full driving license with access to own transport is disirable, we operate over 3 sites- University Hospital Coventry, South Warwickshire Foundation rust and Rugby St Cross Hospital and you are expected to help support all sites.
You will be required to have good communication and keyboard skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
At UHCW we follow national, departmental and trust standards and protocols including the HTA codes of practice and adhere to UKAS, CQC, RCPath guidelines. We prepare for our HTA and UKAS inspections by maintaining high standards of quality by conducting audits, formulating risk assessments/SOPs and investigating incidents in which you will be required to co-ordinate the team.
