An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen to join the Cancer Services team in an innovative position of Cancer Booking Clerk within The Northern Care Alliance NHS Group.
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Booking Clerks, supporting Cancer Pathways across the Northern Care Alliance This role is ideal for dynamic and flexible individuals with strong IT, administrative, and organisational skills, who can support the effective booking and coordination of patient appointments within cancer services.
The Booking Clerk will be pivotal in supporting patients to their initial first appointment to allow for early diagnostic investigations. Supporting patients with a suspected cancer to achieve a definitive diagnosis by day 28 following referral by the GP.
The Booking Clerk will be involved from the beginning of the pathway to work both directly and indirectly with both patients and their carers to assist attendance with a member of the clinical team.
Main duties of the job
Manage and coordinate patient appointment bookings across cancer pathways Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, service users, and clinicians, both by telephone and email Deal sensitively and confidently with complex or time-critical situations Maintain accurate patient records using a range of IT systems Respond promptly to queries, changes, and service demand.

Job summary
We are looking for a Catering Assistant to work in the Main Kitchen as part of the friendly Facilities team at Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital.
The team provide the meals for the inpatients, as well as sandwiches and snacks for the restaurant for staff and members of the public. The core operational hours for the kitchen are 07.30 - 18.30, 7 days a week. Please note this will either be an early or late shift depending on the rota.
Early Shift - 07.30 - 15.00Late Shift - 11.00 - 18.30
There will also be a requirement for them to cover the coffee shop and full training for this will be given.
Ideally they will have Catering experience but full training will be given. We are looking for someone enthusiastic and friendly, who is willing to learn and flexible to help cover additional shifts when necessary.

Main duties of the job
Duties include:

There is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic person to join the Radiotherapy Engineering team at Clatterbridge. The team is responsible for the maintenance and repair of sophisticated linear accelerators and peripheral technology used in the treatment of cancer.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced engineer, however, lesser experienced people or engineering graduates may be considered at lower grades. You must show enthusiasm for the role, aptitude for engineering, be a self-starter and eager to learn new technology.
The Liverpool site is our flagship site and is soon to operate 4 Varian Truebeam, 2 Halcyon linear accelerators, low-voltage XStrahl Orthovoltage treatment unit and Ariane Papillon unit, as well as Elekta Brachytherapy and Siemens CT services.
The Wirral site has 3 Varian Truebeam linear accelerators, and Siemens CT. It also has the Douglas Cyclotron as part of the National Centre for Eye Proton Therapy.
The Aintree site has 2 Varian Truebeam linear accelerators.
All 3 must be supported by the Engineering team and you may be asked to work at any site.
Main duties of the job
You must be skilled at fault finding complex electronic systems and with good attention to detail, and be able to focus working under pressure. Relevant experience working on radiation equipment and/or complex, high capital value, large scale equipment, where maintaining up-time under pressure is required, is desirable. Mechanical aptitude, and computer networking/advanced IT skills would also be an advantage.
The post holder is required to be a member of the RCT for the Radiation Engineering discipline. If you do not hold this, you are welcome to apply but may be placed on Annex21 or Band 5 (depending on background) whilst obtaining the necessary competency for registration (typical timeframe to registration is 2 - 3 years for someone who hasn't worked in radiotherapy engineering before).
Applicants must have good communication skills and be able to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Applicants should be able to work unsocial hours, during evenings and weekends if required, and within a rota system. During training, increased weekend work (upto 12 per year) and early/late work (between 7am and 9pm with 7.5 hour shifts) across any of our sites is required to gain experience, so you must be mobile and flexible. There can be lone working aspects to the job once fully trained.
There may be a requirement to visit sites and attend training courses external to the Trust.

Main duties of the job
As a Portfolio Analyst, the post holder will work as part of the dynamic Central Portfolio Office Management delivery team that has a reach across the whole organisation to manage the investment portfolio of project and programme, including transformational programmes that help improve and save lives. Job summary
The Welsh Blood Service (WBS) provides blood products to NHS Hospitals across Wales and is currently recruiting a full time Clinic Collection Assistant to include driving duties. From the members of the public who make incredible, life-saving donations to the dedicated members of our team who make it happen - people are essential to the service we provide. You could help us change lives.The role is diverse and will include , welcoming donors, testing donors to see if they are able to give blood on that day, taking blood, maintaining records and offering basic clinical advice and aftercare. You will also be loading/unloading and assembling mobile donation equipment. You will need to be comfortable with the sight of blood.
You must be able to travel to undertake the duties of the post at various locations. WBS fleet vehicles, team minibus and equipment vehicles are provided.We will give you all the technical training you need to perform venepuncture (using needles to take blood), so you don't need a medical background. However, you will need to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and have a friendly and flexible approach which will make donors feel welcome at ease and valued.
Main duties of the job
The role will deliver both excellent customer service and direct care to donors throughout the blood donation process. You will be working as part of a multi-skilled team committed to creating a caring environment and excellent customer service experience whilst identifying and meeting the expectation of individual donors so that blood is donated safely and donors are encouraged to return. This will include delivering high standards in customer service, performing venepuncture and driving duties.
Working to agreed clinical and quality standards and procedures to safeguard donor and patient safety.
It will be the requirement of the post holder to develop skills in the areas of venepuncture, donor screening, meeting and greeting, appointment management and reconciliation in addition to core skills.
There will be a requirement for all staff to flex through various teams and blood collection facilities such as blood mobiles, static sites and community clinics covering a large geographical area.

The SHAC service is very excited to advertise a new 12 month fixed term contract or 12 month secondment post, available for registered nurses to apply for. The ideal candidate will have some experience or knowledge of sexual health, contraception or sexual health advising, however some training and development will be included.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to increase their skills, knowledge and experience in the area of sexual health, to either take back to their current role, or for those considering a future career in sexual health.
Brighton Sexual Health and Contraception is an integrated service, and operates across three main sites in the city, with outreach to other parts. We are a multi-professional progressive team providing a comprehensive, evidence-based and patient-focused service for Contraception and Sexual Health.
The successful post holder will meet with their line manager on a regular basis to discuss their training requirements to fully support their learning within post.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills as the role requires a sensitive, confidential and non-judgmental manner at all times. Evidence of previous team working and flexibility is essential.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be responsible for delivering planned, high quality nursing and health advising care that encompasses and responds to the sexual health and contraception needs of patients attending the service.

The post holder will provide evidence-based, holistic sexual health and contraception care to patients attending the service. This will include sexual and reproductive history taking, assessment of needs (including contraception, pregnancy, risk-taking behaviour, alcohol and drug use, mental health), venepuncture, facilitation of asymptomatic pathway for patients, intimate genital examinations and specimen collection (including cervical cytology and pregnancy testing), diagnostic microscopy, discussion of results, diagnosis and management plan, administration and supply of medicines under PGD, genital wart treatments and sexual health discussion / health promotion / signposting to other services.
- The health advising element of the post includes positive results management, including HIV results. The assessment and appropriate referral of more vulnerable patients attending the service, including those experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, under 18's and patients with substance use issues including Chems use. Referral and a good working knowledge of local support options, Social Services processes and a sound knowledge of safeguarding processes and management.

- We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurses to join our team on the Dorothea Chemotherapy Unit. Chemotherapy experience desirable but not essential.
- You will have a strong commitment to excellence in patient care and a high level of communication skills, as you act as the interface between patients and other healthcare professionals.
Main duties of the job
- Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for a specified group of patients.
- Takes charge of the Day Unit as delegated by the Lead Chemotherapy Nurse for a specified period of time.
- Act as a Team Leader, delegating appropriate tasks and supervising the standard of care delivered by more junior qualified staff, unqualified staff and learner nurses in the team.
- Assist the Lead Chemotherapy Nurses in the management of preceptorship of newly qualified staff, return to nursing staff and the mentorship of nursing students and health care support workers.
- Responsible for the administration of cytotoxic chemotherapy.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the busy and dynamic team working within the Sexual Health and Contraception Service in Brighton. Thisintegrated serviceoperates across three sites within the city, with outreach to other parts. We are looking for an experienced registered nurse to fill the role of Band 6 Sexual Health and Contraception Nurse. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of an effective and efficient service in a professional and sensitive manner, and it is essential that the post holder has a recognised qualification and experience in the provision of contraception as well as qualification/experience in sexual health care.
Experience within safeguarding and working with vulnerable young people is essential.A letter of competence in the insertion and removal of subdermal implants (or working towards) would be desirable, as would arecognised post graduate basic teaching qualification. Excellent communication and team working skills are imperative. Flexibility in working hours is expected including weekend & evening working.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be able to:
- Support patients with distressing, sensitive and personal information in a skilled and knowledgeable manner, utilising well developed communication skills of listening, responding, engaging and empathising.
- Deliver bad news, including positive sexually transmitted infection results and pregnancy test results.

- Registered General Nurse (level 1)
- Undertaking study at degree level / equivalent level of knowledge, with significant post-registration experience
- Evidence of post-graduate experience and recognised qualifications within the specialist area to include contraception (CaSH), GUM, HIV or equivalent experience at Band 5 level
- Certificate in teaching and assessing/ mentorship

- Extensive post-graduate experience within sexual health providing GUM and contraceptive care
- Excellent in depth skills and knowledge base
- Ability to run nurse only provided clinics
- Competent in utilisation of contraception knowledge and skills
- Undertake patient care autonomously within agreed policies and procedures, and using patient group directives (PGDs) or working as an independent nurse prescriber
- Competent in diagnostic Microscopy Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with the multi-disciplinary team members.
- Demonstrate advanced communication skills to support patients and their carers and convey difficult and sensitive information, overcoming barriers to communication
- Knowledge and ability to apply Fraser competencies for those aged 16 and under
