Are you a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist who is committed to providing safe, high-quality care? Locala is inviting applications for a full-time Phlebotomist to support patients and services across our North and South localities.
Working across Locala services, you will provide a responsive and professional phlebotomy service in a range of community settings.
This is a 37.5-hour post providing cover across Localas North and South localities. You will need to travel between community bases and clinical settings according to service requirements, so the ability to travel independently across the Locala footprint is essential.
Main duties of the job
Your role will include:
- Collecting blood samples safely and efficiently in accordance with policies, procedures and infection prevention standards
- Confirming patient identity, gaining consent and providing clear information and reassurance
- Accurately labelling, documenting and preparing samples.
- Undertaking ECG recordings; training will be provided
- Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative colleagues to deliver a reliable, patient-centred service
Were looking for someone who is:
- Competent and confident in venepuncture, with relevant training or experience
- Organised, reliable and able to work independently across different locations
- A clear and compassionate communicator who maintains patient dignity and confidentiality

The job offers DCT level experience and will involve a 1 in 8 full shift on call rota as part of a 3 tier arrangement with middle grade and consultants. Ample opportunities to improved and develop oral surgical skills and mange subspecialty patients under full supervision. Multidisciplinary subspecialist interests and participation is also available and encouraged.
The job is suitable for those seeking to top up experience in oral & maxillofacial surgery at a DCT level and is best suited for those holding full registration with the GDC.
Main duties of the job
The duties of the appointee will involve working in the outpatient clinics, operating sessions under LA in the department, operating sessions under GA in the operating theatre and occasionally see referrals from other departments on the ward according to the needs of the department. Clinical responsibility will be to the Consultants.
Your duties will be arranged with the Consultants to whom you are responsible, who has final medical responsibility for all patients under his/her care. Any clinical problems beyond your experience or problems causing anxiety should be referred to the Consultant. Supportive training will be available in all aspects of Oral and maxillofacial surgery and oral medicine and he/she will be able to attend combined clinics with orthodontics/restorative and oncology.

- Attending to emergencies and referrals to the OMFS Department from other specialities within the hospital, with reference to the Consultant
- Attending promptly to administrative matters and correspondence relating to any or all of the above, including triaging, data collection, audit and discharge duplicate
- Liaise between nurses, other junior doctors, patients, relatives and senior medical Liaison with other surgical staff and nursing staff Work closely will all allied specialties
- Attend to the day to day management of day case, out-patient and in-patients
- Attend and participate in ward rounds and operating theatre sessions as timetabled (as assigned)

You will be expected to work weekends on a rostered basis. Some shifts are 12 hours in duration. We also have an Ethos Halcyon Linac delivering adaptive Radiotherapy, a Halcyon and CRAD SGRT available throughout the department. The post holder will support pharmacy services within the Haematology Day Unit and Ambulatory Care Unit, providing specialist pharmaceutical care for patients with complex haematological conditions. They will contribute to the implementation of new therapies, service development and quality improvement initiatives. The role includes responsibilities across inpatient and outpatient haematology services, including HSCT, CAR-T therapy and ward-based clinical pharmacy services. Working closely with consultants, nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team, the post holder will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care and support ongoing service development. Job summary
We provide a comprehensive Paediatric Audiology service including assessing babies referred from the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme, the behavioural and objective assessment of children of all ages and the habilitation of children with hearing loss. We also provide a specialist bone conduction hearing implant (BCHI) service. The Paediatric Audiology Service sits alongside Adult Audiology Services and the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme.
The department is a training centre for Scientist Training Programme through the National School of Healthcare Science. The post holder will be a Training Officer for trainees undertaking the Scientist Training Programme, providing clinical supervision, training and mentoring to junior members of staff and trainee's. It is therefore, imperative for the post holder to continue maintaining professional development.
The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a positive and caring attitude that is patient-centred and maintain a calm and organised approach when working under pressure. They will work in an environment that undergoes constant challenges, and will need to adapt to service needs within the clinical environment ensuring that all aspects of the service are developed and delivered to high standards.

Main duties of the job
- To provide a diagnostic service for the Paediatric Audiology Department both on the hospital site and in the community, performing diagnostic Audiological assessment mainly on neonates and children. To include children with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and additional disabilities or special needs.
- This includes carrying out ABRs in clinic, under sedation and in theatres.
- To provide aural habilitation for babies and children which includes providing counselling to distressed parents/guardians about their children's hearing loss and associated problems, and to have the ability to make decisions about the most appropriate course of treatment for the patient in their care.
- To deputise for the clinica lead in the day to day running of the Paediatric Audiology Service. To include maintenance of highest levels of health and safety.
- Be a line manager, including conducting regular 1:1s, PDRs, wellness reviews.
- To lead in the education and training requirements of the department and provide clinical supervision of trainee and assistant audiologists in Audiological techniques. To offer support to trainees studying for professional exams and existing staff.

Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to improving health outcomes for our local population. There will be an opportunity to contribute to the development of new services, schemes and projects across the Federation and PCN.

We are seeking a psychologist with a specialist interest and relevant clinical experience in neurodevelopmental assessment. The post holder will contribute to assessment, formulation and diagnostic decision-making for school-aged children and young people where autism and/or attentional difficulties are being considered. An exciting opportunity for has arisen to join a dynamic, motivated team of renal nurses who deliver a high standard of specialist care on the lower ground dialysis clinic at the Royal Liverpool hospital.
The post is full time, 37.5 hours per week.
You will be working in a friendly and supportive environment providing comprehensive care and support to patients and relatives.
We currently have 25 stations running from 07:00 hours until 00:30, Monday - Saturday. The dialysis unit is closed on Sundays.
We have 11 hour long day and long late shifts, & 6 hour early, middle and twilight shifts. Stall will be required to rotate on all shifts when needed
We also have haemodialysis units at Broadgreen, Warrington, St Helens and Halton hospitals and there may be occasions when you will be asked to support at one of these clinics.

Main duties of the job

You will join a small team of child psychologists and receive regular supervision from a Senior Practitioner Psychologist. You will be part of the county wide psychology team, making innovative contributions to ongoing service improvement and compassionate care, and we work towards ensuring that psychology is at the heart of everything that we do. There are many opportunities to access further training and we have an excellent record in developing our workforce. We work closely with Southampton University offering placements to trainee clinical psychologists and would support the successful candidate to provide these placements.

To provide quality driven assessments, psychological formulations and interventions to children and young people experiencing a wide range of complex and severe mental health problems. Delivering a variety of interventions (individual and group) to families and young people in line with their needs and goals.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Provide clinical leadership to small team of paramedics
- Have an individual approach to all patients, providing triage, minor illness and minor injury assessment

- Perform procedures such as suturing, IV access, hemorrhage control, wound care and cardiac & CVA intervention

We are excited to be advertising for a Speech and Language Therapy Clinical Team Manager, working within the Expert at Hand model within the Speech, Language and Communication pathway. This role is for 0.6 WTE and we can consider a split of these hours to suit alongside your current roles.
You will be joining the team at an exciting time of change, and you will be supported throughout by a strong team who is passionate about delivering high quality and innovative care.
In the role you will provide the day-to-day operational management of the provision of care and treatment within the Speech, Language and Communication pathway, which consists of speech and language therapists and speech and language therapy assistants.
This post holder will manage effective operational delivery of the service in close collaboration with Speech and Language Clinical Specialists, senior clinicians and other service leads within the Expert at Hand model.
You will have supervisory skills and may complete clinical work across health in different environments such as home, schools and clinics.
Main duties of the job
- Provide effective collaborative leadership and day to day operational management of the clinical team.
- Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of evidence based clinical care .
- Ensure the service is delivered in partnership with other clinical pathways within the locality, health specialties and partner organisations.
- Ensure the service is delivered in partnership with children, young people and their parents/ carers, ensuring their active participation is facilitated.
- In partnership with the Operations Manager, ensure that clinical and non-clinical risks within the pathway are identified and managed effectively.
- To maintain systems to monitor demand and maintain optimal clinical capacity within the team.

We are looking for a Nursing Assistants to join the Haldon Eating Disorder Service based on a ward at Wonford House, Exeter.
The Haldon Unit is a specialist 10-bedded inpatient eating disorders service within Devon Partnership NHS Trust, providing assessment, treatment and recovery-focused care for adults experiencing severe eating disorders. We are a highly skilled multidisciplinary team committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care within a safe and therapeutic environment.
Our approach combines psychological, nutritional and physical healthcare interventions, supporting patients throughout their recovery journey while promoting dignity, independence and hope.
The post holder will assist with therapeutic meal times and various ward activities.

Main duties of the job
Nursing Assistants play a vital role within the ward's structured daily programme. A significant part of the role involves supporting patients during six supervised dining room sessions each day, working alongside nursing colleagues to provide consistent therapeutic support before, during and after meals. Staff are involved in monitoring and documenting care, contributing to individual care plans, maintaining therapeutic relationships, and supporting patients through periods of distress or increased risk. The role requires excellent communication skills, compassion and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The Haldon Unit offers a varied and rewarding working environment. Job summary
Applicants must be a qualified and registered Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) or a qualified and registered Children and Young People Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) with experience of working with in CYP Mental Health Services in the provision of both individual and group treatments.
Mental health professionals with post graduate experience of working with young people with emotional and mental health issues and with experience of delivering evidenced-based CBT interventions for mild to moderate mental health issues such as anxiety, low mood and behavioural problems to CYP both individually and in groups may also apply.
MK MHST works with Young people with mild to moderate mental health presentations attending school.
The purpose of the team is to
- Provide evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health issues.
- Support the senior mental health lead in each education setting to introduce or develop their whole school or college approach.
- Give timely advice to school and college staff, and liaising with external specialist services, to help children and young people to get the right support and stay in education.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of an established Mental Health Support Team (MHST) created to improve access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people and to deliver evidence based low intensity interventions into schools enabling life long aspirations. You will work alongside other EMHPs and CYPWPs, Senior Wellbeing Practitioners and Team Leaders.
The post holder will undertake assessments of children and young people and deliver evidence based low intensity group and individual interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate anxiety and depression and/or behavioural difficulties and their families and carers. You will also provide training and consultation to schools and other agencies about mental health in children and young people and support schools in identifying specific areas of need as part of the whole school approach to mental health.
Please note this post is based at Milton Keynes Headquarters which is currently situated on the hospital site. However a consultation is currently underway with staff regarding moving the Headquarters to the Open University within Milton Keynes in the new year. If this moves goes ahead as proposed the successful candidate would be based at the Open University site.

Job summary
CNWL Brent and Harrow Mental Health Support Teams are recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join one of these teams as a CYP_PT CBT Therapy Trainee. This is part of the NHS England (NHSE) funded Programme in partnership with Anna Freud, and Kings College London and UCL.
The post-holder will be training on the Children & Young People Mental Health (CYP-MH/CYP IAPT) Therapy Course and carrying out clinical work in our service to complement their studies and use their newly developed skills. We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic mental health practitioners to work and train within our service.
The training post will equip the post-holder to provide interventions for children, young people or families using evidence-based intervention consistent with the course they are attending.
This is a fixed-term appointment for the period specified. Completion of the contract does not, by itself, guarantee renewal or further or permanent employment.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates would be working within CNWL Mental Health Support Team - Brent or Harrow.
The MHST works with young people age 5 - 18 with mild to moderate mental health presentations attending school/education settings.
The purpose of the team is to:
- Provide evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health issues.
- Support the senior mental health lead in each education setting to introduce or develop their whole school or college approach.
- Give timely advice to school and college staff, and liaising with external specialist services, to help children and young people to get the right support and stay in education.
The role will involve clinical work in school settings as appropriate to meet the requirements for the training course.
The post holder would attend MHST team meetings, group and 1:1 supervision and be part of the team.
