Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience working with children and young people.
- Experience supporting young people with emotional wellbeing, health, substance use or related needs.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment and child development.
- Experience working collaboratively with families, professionals and partner agencies.
- Excellent communication, engagement and relationship building skills.
- The ability to manage a varied caseload and maintain accurate records.
- A flexible, compassionate and solution focused approach.
A qualification in youth work, social work, psychology, counselling, mental health, substance use, or a related field is essential.
Experience delivering health promotion, prevention or early intervention programmes would be helpful but is not essential.

The N&S CAMHS DBT Service is looking for an experienced and committed Senior DBT Therapist to join our established Dialectical Behaviour Therapy team. The National & Specialist CAMHS Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Service is a well-established and supportive team based at the Pears Maudsley Children and Young People (PMCYP) at the Maudsley Hospital Denmark Hill, SE5 8AZ. The multi-disciplinary service consists of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, a Senior Systemic Psychotherapist, Nurses and a Consultant Psychiatrist, and is open to referrals within South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, Greater London Boroughs and Nationally.As a service we offer a comprehensive, evidence-based DBT-A Programme (DBT adapted for working with adolescents and their parents/carers, as recommended by NICE for young people with frequent self-harm and emotion dysregulation difficulties). The team offers all modes of a standard DBT-A programme including individual therapy, skills groups for young people and their parents/carers, telephone coaching, parent/carer/family sessions, and team consultation. We see young people aged 13-17 who meet our inclusion criteria (they struggle primarily with severe self-harm, suicidality, and related problems). The treatment targets self-harm behaviours and other high-risk behaviours and helps young people learn to manage their emotions, improve their relationships with others and to cope with difficult thoughts and feelings.

We are looking for a speech and language therapist to work in our Stroke Early Supported Discharge Service. This job will allow you to broaden your knowledge base.
Stroke survivors often feel isolated and vulnerable after they are discharged from hospital. Our team is there to allay these fears and support stroke survivors at this difficult time, whilst also providing them with therapy and nursing support should they need it. On a day to day basis you will deliver speech and language therapy alongside our other speech and language therapists for people with communication and swallowing disorders following a stroke who have been discharged from hospital into the care of the ESD service for South East Essex

Main duties of the job
- To work within the local Early Supported Discharge for Stroke (ESD) Team to provide a 7 day a week rehabilitation programme for up to six weeks following discharge from hospital into the community. This is likely to include some weekend working.
- To liaise closely with the Speech and Language Therapy team on the Stroke Unit at Southend Hospital to ensure a smooth handover from the hospital into ESD.
- To work with the Community Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service to ensure a smooth handover of those with longer term therapy needs at the end of their time with ESD.
- To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
- To use specialist skills in the management of patients with communication disorders and dysphagia following a stroke.
- To hold responsibility for own case load.
- To participate in clinical audit, protocol development, objective-setting etc as required by the SLT and ESD teams.

Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Specialist Dietitian who has an interest in working in a Community Adult Eating Disorder Service, on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract covering maternity leave. This role is part of the current transformation programme across mental health services within Essex.However, we are a Trust wide service and the postholder will be expected to work in other locations in the Trust as required.
The post holder will provide specialist dietetic input to adults with eating disorders in the community and in Day Care, including in the FREED pathway. It will involve working with service users and multidisciplinary team members to identify and address the complex psychological and social factors that affect the dietary treatment, thus enabling long term/permanent lifestyle changes.
Managing severely underweight patients with Anorexia Nervosa that are at risk of refeeding syndrome whilst in an Acute setting will require collaborative liaison work with the acute trusts.
You will be expected to work collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, carers, clinicians and other practitioners within the multi-disciplinary team in delivering services; working flexibly where appropriate and operationally required.
Main duties of the job
- To lead the EPUT Eating Disorders Nutrition and Dietetics provision for the north team of the Community Adult Eating Disorder Service.
- To provide specialist dietetic assessment, diagnosis and treatment programmes to individual service users with a variety of complex dietetic needs within the community (including FREED and Day Care) eating disorders pathway.

The FEP team is a community Early Intervention in Psychosis service for people aged 14 and above experiencing a first episode of psychosis. We are a small, supportive multidisciplinary team where psychological input is highly valued. We work across the West Essex area covering three main bases - Harlow, Loughton and Stansted.

Within the MDT, we have a small Psychology Team which works in close collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines. As a Senior Clinician or existing Deputy Hospital Director with a wealth of experience in Rehabilitation/Acute services, this is your chance to join our team at Chadwick Lodge in Milton Keynes to build the team around you, help to shape the culture and positively impact how the service is run.
You will support the Hospital Director in leading the service, with responsibility for managing clinical and non-clinical teams and being the Clinical Lead for Quality and Compliance.
As a Deputy Hospital Director, you will have previous experience of project management as you will manage Clinical and Operational functions of the hospital. You will also deputise for the Hospital Director, where you will attend internal and external meetings with key stake holders.
As Deputy Hospital Director you’ll play a key role in ensuring the success of the service. Reporting to the Hospital Director, you will support the development and provision of a high quality and bespoke pathway of care for the service users.
To be Successful as a Deputy Hospital Director you will need:
- A relevant Clinical qualification and professional registration, for example Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work.
- Multiple years Senior management experience in a Mental Health setting
- Be able to evidence management/leadership training and a willingness to complete our internal leadership training.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
