About us
We are an outward looking charity with a compelling reputation for delivering professional support services to young people in South West London coupled with the motivation to develop new and innovative responses to young peoples mental health needs. This was particularly tested when the Covid pandemic forced us to quickly pivot all our provision to remote working. However, we met the challenge, training staff in new ways of working and integrating new offers that have now become part of our ongoing work supporting children and young peoples mental health.
Post-pandemic, the well-documented rise in mental health needs amongst young people has resulted in unprecedented levels of demand for our services. Nationally, the need to modernise and transform mental health services alongside the need to increase service capacity has been recognised and, as a result, we have expanded our staff team and broadened the range of mental health interventions we offer to young people. At our core is a commitment to strong active engagement with young people and creating support that's relevant, flexible and accessible. Young people need to be at the heart of all our service design and were committed to making sure young people are able to get help now when they first reach out for it, at the point of need rather than availability.
We recognise our staff are our greatest asset and we invest in ensuring staff are supported, trained and managed in their role.

Our First Point of Contact Centre (FPCC) is a priority one urgent response telephone service launched in 2019. Since then it has consistently demonstrated itself to be an integral part of our mental health services. We have improved access to mental health services for individuals who need it, whilst reducing demands on care and treatment delivery services.
We are continuing to evolve and build our team and the support we offer as part of the development of the National Mental Health NHS 111 response model. Which involves 24/7 working, including night shifts.

In the FPCC your skills and expertise will be in triaging patients at the point of contact, providing mental health support and identifying what service will best meet their needs moving forwards.
The spectrum of mental health needs varies significantly; you will have the ability to offer advice, guidance and support to those in mental health distress. This will have a routine, urgent or crisis response. Equally, you will have the ability to respond to urgent referrals with more acute needs and higher risks in the community.

This requires an outstanding amount of resilience and emotional strength as you will be supporting unwell and distressed patients at their time of need, their families, carers, emergency services, and referrers who may need support. Your support will make a difference to lives and requires people who can be there for those that need it, sometimes in the face of adversity and trauma.

About us
We have a skilled and dedicated workforce of over 5000 colleagues working in a diverse range of services over 55 sites and within people's homes. We strive to enable a welcoming workplace culture that builds and celebrates civility, inclusivity and diversity, while providing a sense of belonging and trust.
Annual staff surveys, regular Pulse surveys and other engagement opportunities provide our people with lots of opportunity to tell us about their experiences of working with us. In the latest staff survey, 61% of colleagues gave us their views. It was great to hear that:
72% of colleagues would recommend the Trust as a place to work, ranking us 1st for Provider Trusts in the South West region on this question.
76% would recommend the standard of care provided in our services if a friend or relative needed treatment, also ranking us 1st in the South West region.
81% said that care of patients and service users is the Trust's priority, compared with an average in comparable NHS Trusts in England of 64%.
This high-level overview shows we are in a healthy position, with higher scores than average for comparable organisations, alongside a great response rate, indicating good staff engagement. However, we also know we have plenty of room for improvement in many areas. To that end, we continue to prioritise and invest in our commitment to genuinely becoming a Great Place to Work with consistent top-quartile performance in the annual staff survey and Pulse surveys.

About us
The Diagnostic Imaging and Neurophysiology services at Dorset County Hospital are innovative and growing departments. Radiology currently has 3 CT and 2 MRI scanners, highly skilled Ultrasound, Interventional and Fluoroscopy departments along with X-ray and Mammography. We have expanded with a CT scanner in the Weymouth site, and in addition X-Ray and Ultrasound facilities in the South Walks Site. The New Emergency Department, due in 2027, will have X-Ray and CT services included.
Based across multiple sites we have worked hard to ensure we offer an accessible and quality service for our patients. This is reflected in our achievement to gain and maintain our UKAS BS70000 accreditation, the state-of-the-art equipment we use for imaging and expansion of Community Diagnostic Centres.
We understand that AI can be a useful tool when completing your application. However, we are seeing an increasing over-reliance of AI tools, which can negatively affect your application as it reduces a candidate's individuality, and makes it difficult for us to gain a clear and authentic understanding of your experience, skills, and in turn your suitability for the role.
