Job summary
King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit qualified Band 5 Paediatric Staff Nurses for Toni & Guy Ward.
Toni & Guy Ward is a 15 bedded general paediatric inpatient ward, it also is a shared care centre for oncology patients and a tertiary centre for Cystic Fibrosis and Haemoglobinopathies.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your paediatric nursing skills within a specialist tertiary centre, caring for children and young people with a diverse range of conditions while working as part of a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
- Your main responsibility will be the clinical care of children and young people who are inpatients on Toni and Guy ward.
- Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating individualised nursing care.
- Providing safe, effective and evidence-based care to children and young people with general paediatric, oncology, respiratory and haematology needs.
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes and experiences.
- Supporting children, young people and their families throughout their inpatient journey, promoting family-centred care and shared decision-making.
- Recognising and responding appropriately to changes in a patient's condition and escalating concerns when necessary.
- Administering medications, treatments and therapies safely and in accordance with Trust policies and professional standards.
- Supporting, supervising and acting as a role model for student nurses and junior staff.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation and records.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance activities and service development projects.
- Demonstrating a commitment to continual learning, professional development and the delivery of high-quality care.

We currently have a vacancy for a part time Community Mental Health Practitioner within our CMHT.
The post is based at Horton House, Hamilton Street Oldham
You will need to be a registered and experienced Social Worker to apply for this post.
The Care Coordinator will provide a comprehensive mental health service to adults of working age who experience moderate to severe mental health problems within the community. Job summary
Applications are invited from Clinical / Counselling Psychologists wishing to work in the Wigan Mental Health Liaison Team, based at Royal Albert Edward Infirmary. This well-established multi-disciplinary team supports service users within the hospital who are experiencing an interaction of physical health problems and mental health crises.
You will be joining our existing 8b Psychologist and Assistant Psychologist, as well as becoming part of a well-established network of psychologists within our in-patient and urgent care teams.
Clinical work will involve conducting psychological assessments, formulation and interventions. Applicants will need to have experience and passion for working with people with experiences of trauma and mental health needs. Experience of working within multidisciplinary environments will be an advantage. The post holder will need to contribute actively to team and multi-disciplinary working, so a high standard of written and verbal communication is required. Indirect work will involve the provision of consultancy, supervision and training to others. Regular clinical supervision will be offered by the Wigan MHLT Principal Clinical Psychologist.
This post is available on a permanent contract. Flexible working would be considered. Applications would be welcomed from more recently qualified psychologists who are interested in a Band 7-8a development post.
Main duties of the job
The postholder is required to collaborate and respond flexibly to a variety of clinical and service-level demands involving:
- Undertake rapid and highly specialist psychological assessments and formulations to guide the management and safe discharge of patients with mental health experiences including dementia, especially those who frequently attend the emergency department or are admitted to the acute hospital.
- Participation in multi-disciplinary decision-making regarding patients with psychological difficulties who are admitted to the acute hospital wards and emergency department.
- Development of the psychological elements of the Mental Health assessment of patients who are physically unwell.
- Delivery of appropriate brief psychological interventions as appropriate.
- Provision of appropriate information and education to families, carers and the care system.
- Use of psychological formulations to support resilience and reduce vulnerability in order to decrease the risk of repeated future crises.
- To deliver a continuing programme of training to Liaison service staff in psychological understanding of crises, assessment, formulation and interventions, as needed.
- To offer consultation and supervision to mental health liaison team staff in the development and utilisation of psychological and psycho-social formulations and in the delivery of any specific psychological or psycho-social interventions.

Job summary
The post holder will be required to provide a confidential secretarial and administrative service to the Salford Neighbourhood Mental Health Team.
The post holder is also responsible for managing referrals that come into the team, sending out appointment letters and mailshots, dealing with all telephone calls that come into the service and ensuring they get passed on in a timely manner.

The Surgical Care group is looking to recruit a dedicated and highly skilled Band 7 Breast Nurse Specialist to support the Breast pathway , in main supporting the Breast Mastalgia pathway.
You would need to be an experienced Breast nurse acting within your professional boundaries and willing to develop your skills. As a Breast CNS you will play a vital role in delivering specialised nursing care to the patients with Breast conditions. Your expertise will contribute to a high quality care and positive patient experience.
You should have excellent communication skills both verbally and in written. You will be proactive in ensuring that your clinical expertise is up to date to contribute as a role model to the service. You will be a member of the Trust's Breast team and undertake the role of the CNS supporting and facilitating the patients journey. Main duties of the job
You will work as an integral member of the Multidisciplinary Team within Barking Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust. Barking, Havering, and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust (BHRUT) are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapy Assistant within Orthopaedics and Surgery at a Band 4 level, to join our friendly and highly skilled team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and support staff on a full-time basis.
The post will include working with elective orthopaedic inpatients, the elective surgery pre-assessment team, elective patients from other surgical specialties, and our developing prehabilitation service for elective joint replacements, including delivering education sessions pre-operatively. This post will be primarily based out of our accredited elective hub at the King George Hospital site, however there is opportunity to work cross site at Queens Hospital if required.
You will be able to assess and discharge patients independently, as well as provide advice and support to patients and family members. You will need excellent communication and reasoning skills. The post involves close working with the MDT to provide evidence-based patient-centred care. In return you will receive regular supervision and support, as well as training and career development opportunities.

You will provide specialist mental health assessment, intervention and risk management for children and young people experiencing a mental health crisis. You will undertake comprehensive assessments across community, emergency department and acute hospital settings, gathering information from young people, families and partner agencies to inform clinical decision-making and care planning.
You will develop and deliver collaborative crisis, safety and risk management plans, ensuring that interventions are evidence-based, person-centred and focused on achieving positive outcomes for young people and their families. The role requires autonomous practice, sound clinical judgement and the ability to respond effectively to complex and high-risk presentations.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will liaise closely with CAMHS colleagues, acute hospitals, social care, education providers and voluntary sector organisations to ensure coordinated care and effective support. You will undertake safeguarding responsibilities, maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service quality, governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will contribute to effective management of service demand and capacity, and participate in service development activities. What you will bring to the roleThe Team Leader will support the Matron/Theatre Manager in the delivery of theatre objectives and will be responsible and accountable for managing capacity and staffing resources over the 24-hour period. The role will be 70% non-clinical management and 30% clinical management.
The Jobholder will carry 24 hour continuing responsibility for the effective and efficient management of the Theatre(s) and provide management and professional leadership for the peri-operative team. The jobholder is responsible for ensuring the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care are maintained to a high standard. The job holder will manage the administrative and financial aspects of the Theatre(s) and will ensure cost effective use of resources and deployment of staff. Current services comprise 4 theatres. The role requires direct management of approximately 39.3 whole time equivalent Peri-operative Practitioners and support staff. The jobholder is responsible for the department clinical budget.
Qualifications - Essential Criteria

Due to business growth, we are looking to expand our IV Therapy team within our Nursing department.
