Job summary
Are you an innovative and highly motivated Occupational Therapist who wants to improve the lives and wellbeing of individuals with a Learning Disability? Then we could be the team for you!
Due to an expansion of the Specialist Learning Disability provision, we are looking for an Intensive Support Occupational Therapist to work alongside community and inpatient colleagues to best meet the needs of individuals known to the intensive support team.
This specialist Occupational Therapist post will enable you to use your core OT skills by promoting participation and independence in Activities of Daily living, whilst having the opportunity to strengthen and develop these in specialist areas such as Sensory Integration, Positive Behaviour Support, Trauma Informed approaches alongside supporting the impact of physical health needs.
The role sits within the Intensive Support Function of the East & North Specialist Learning Disability Service. You will be joining a highly dedicated and creative Occupational Therapy service and will be encouraged and supported to undertake learning and development opportunities both in clinical and leadership fields
We are a supportive and forward-thinking team, with great peer networks; we actively promote learning and professional development with opportunities in both clinical and leadership fields of work.
Due to this being a community post access to a vehicle is essential.

Main duties of the job
The Intensive Support Team (IST) work intensively with adults (18+) with learning disabilities who are experiencing significant mental health difficulties or whose behaviours pose a challenge.
The Occupational Therapist will provide high quality, comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for specified service user group with complex needs
They will work in an interdisciplinary way to assess service user's needs, devise care plans and evaluate outcomes and to carry a caseload as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Provide clinical advice and support for service users that present with behaviour that challenges and require support with their mental health.
Work directly with service users, carers, colleagues and other service providers.
Deliver training and education to other professionals/carers/family.
To continue to develop Occupational Therapy provision within the service and drive innovation with support from the Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist and Professional Lead Occupational Therapist.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our South and Central Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams (formerly Living Well)
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to work as a Team Manager to assist with the day-to-day management of this exciting, innovative team. In this role you will provide both clinical leadership and line management supervision to staff within the service.You will deputise on behalf of the Operational manager when required.
The Neighbourhood Team offers timely access to mental health services when people need it most and provide support for people who might not traditionally meet the threshold or criteria of existing mental health services. It is designed to support people who experience Serious Mental Illness. The team is multi agency and involves working with both clinical and VCSE organisations. There will also be input into supporting Neighbourhood Team though the current community transformation of community mental health services.
As a successful applicant, you will possess excellent communication and problem solving skills. This is a busy working environment, and any successful applicant would possess proven reflective skills which helps drive ongoing service improvement and facilitates change.
Main duties of the job
As Team manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the new developing service. Experience and knowledge of community services and third sector organizations in Manchester will be beneficial for this role.
Manchester Neighbourhood Team is a compassionately led, trauma informed, and recovery focused service. CPD opportunities are available and personal interests/skills will be supported to develop and grow.
The post holder will help align and integrate Neighbourhood Team alongside the ongoing transformation of community mental health services. This will require strengthening and maintenance of relationships with other community services and colleagues.
The service currently operates between 9 - 5 Monday - Friday, excluding bank holidays.

Job summary
The Treating Tobacco Dependency have an exciting opportunity to join them, to work and support and contribute to the implementation and management of the tobacco dependent treatment service and the smoke free initiative at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Trust.
Tobacco Dependency Treatment Advisor will support the day-to-day running of the Tobacco Dependency Treatment Service to ensure safe, well organised, and evidence-based care is offered routinely to all identified smokers and provided to all that access the service.
This role will be diverse with opportunity to visit several sites across the GMMH footprint to deliver smoking cessation interventions and support the Trust's smoke free initiative. Tobacco Dependency Treatment Advisor will make a valuable contribution to improving health and reducing health inequality amongst people with SMI.
Main duties of the job
- Deliver tobacco harm reduction (smoking cessation) assessments, advice and support sessions including the provision of motivational and behavioural support.
- Contribute to the development of individual Tobacco Dependence care plans
- Support and advise patients with SMI to switch to and access NRT whilst in mental health inpatient.
- Be a positive role model to each ward-based smoke free champion and other clinical staff in supporting patients to reduce harm from tobacco whilst maintaining a strong visible clinical presence

Job summary
An exciting 12 months secondment opportunity, has arisen, to work as part of the Specialist Services Care group in the role of Quality and Safety Lead for Community CAMHS Services (Part Time 0.6 WTE)
Reporting directly to Clinical Services Manager, you will work as an integral part of the Care group, ensuring high quality care is provided to patients and their families, building on the "outstanding" work achieved so far.
The Quality and Safety lead role is the cornerstone of improving the quality of patient care. They do this through visible, inclusive leadership and engagement with patients and families, frontline staff and senior management teams.
Main duties of the job
The Quality and safety Lead will support the Clinical Services Manager and the wider team to deliver clinical leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, high quality clinical care and consistent achievement of care standards. An exciting secondment/ fixed term opportunity has arisen for a committed, highly motivated, knowledgeable and reliable registered mental health nurses (RMNs) who has an interest to join the GMMH clinical skills training team. An exciting opportunity has arisen at Achieve We're looking for a person with lived experience of drug/alcohol problems (either personally or through a loved one) to join the Peer Support Network working with and for the people of Salford to improve recovery options and wellbeing. The project works to bring Salford's recovery community together and help more people sustain recovery by raising awareness of services and support.
You will use your organisational, communication and people skills to support on a range of project work streams, which may include planning and running events, contributing to online and offline content, promoting the network to individuals and groups, and helping to point people in the right direction when they need support.
Using your lived experience, understanding of recovery models and knowledge of Salford as a place as a current or former resident, you will play a key role in promoting a healthy, happy, visible form of recovery that feels accessible and achievable for all residents of the town.

Main duties of the job
This role is for people who have lived experience of substance use (drugs/alcohol) either personally or through a loved one. The aim of the role is to enable the engagement of others who may benefit from enhanced community involvement and support networks, increasing visible 'recovery' and reducing stigma.
The Community Engagement Worker will act as an advocate, agreeing goals with the networks and people of Salford. They will provide ongoing practical support related to the project.
Using wisdom from your own experiences, you will inspire hope and belief that living well is possible in others. You will use your skills to support new initiatives including
- Support and promote recovery from drug/alcohol use as achievable
- Co-ordinate plans with Salford peers to promote positive change
- Emphasise hope and optimism in engagement methods, using techniques such as motivational interviewing and rapport building.

The Emergency Response Coordinator is responsible for providing senior clinical leadership and advice within the Emergency Response Service which is a service offering a crisis response to patients 24/7. Job summary
We have an opportunity for an experienced administrator with excellent communication skills to join our Nuclear Medicine Admin Management team as a Band 4 Assistant Patient Service Coordinator. These include; being a first point of contact for patient enquiries, managing patient referrals, department diaries and appointment bookings, adding reports to radiology systems, dealing with phone calls/emails from other service users or staff members from outside of the department, managing the generic Nuclear Medicine email inboxes and such like. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced band 5 or established band 6 Occupational Therapist to strengthen the Care Homes Team at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. We cover Sandwell care homes, Harvest View and other Enhanced Assessment Beds across the borough.
As part of your role, you will ensure best quality therapy for residents in both care homes and enhanced assessment beds, delivering effective treatment and rehabilitation. You will support the Team Lead Occupational Therapist's in establishing and developing pathways and services provided to those in enhanced assessment beds and care homes. This will support delivery of specialist assessment, rehabilitation and discharge planning. You will work as part of an established multidisciplinary including Physiotherapist's, Occupational Therapists, Therapy Support Worker's, ACP's, Nurses, and Speech and Language Therapist's to meet the complex needs of our patients. The care homes team provides a 7 day therapy service to our patients.
As a Trust, we will support your training and development objectives and encourage networking with peers across the region. You will play a key role in supporting Physiotherapy education and clinical competency within the Care Homes Therapy Team.
Main duties of the job
To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients within enhanced assessment beds and in care homes, including those with diverseorcomplex presentations;usingadvanced clinicalreasoning skills.
To formulate and deliver patient specific Occupational therapy programmes based on patients goals and needs. This will include groupwork sessions including breakfast groups and exercises classes etc.

This position is part-time, working 25 hours per week, 5 out of 7 including weekends and bank holidays. Job summary
This role is to provide an efficient and effective account management service to end users, including processing of access applications, and troubleshooting access related issues.
This role requires close liaison with System managers regarding the access granted on their systems and with regard to streamlining the processes involved.

Main duties of the job
The Post Holder will be responsible for managing and controlling access to multiple systems, including CRS systems, and acting as a Registration Authority Agent for national NHS applications.
They will work closely with system administrators to improve the access allocation process and ensure efficient access management. Additionally, the role involves liaising proactively with stakeholders, maintaining access management documentation, and supervising junior staff.
The Post Holder will also assist in the development and improvement of access management processes, provide guidance to users, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to data protection and security.

This includes the identification of demand, processing and distribution of orders and the collection/disposal of assets in adherence to government set processes and guidelines.
Additionally, the IT Logistics Officer will assist the IT Asset Management Officers in administrative tasks relating to Asset Management, warranty claims and the cataloguing of items. This includes (but not exclusively) the preparation of daily hardware dispatches, the assignment of assets to customer's companies, locations and end users, and the processing of disposal, delivery and collection tasks. They will also be required to use the NHS GM van to deliver and collect equipment to and from customer sites as required. On site disposals as well as the weekly disposal from the warehouse are required to be managed and completed.
