Job summary
Ophthalmic Technician
The post holder will work flexibly across ophthalmology sub-specialties and virtual clinic pathways, ensuring investigations are undertaken accurately, safely and efficiently and that results are appropriately recorded and available to support clinical decision-making.
The post is an established Band 3 Ophthalmic Technician position and forms an important part of the ophthalmology workforce skill mix. The Band 3 technician role provides a distinct technical function and is required to maintain appropriate service capacity, clinic flow and delivery of ophthalmology activity.
The post holder will be expected to maintain a high standard of patient care, communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, work within their scope of competence and contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of ophthalmology services.
Main duties of the job
The role will include the assessment and recording of visual acuity and colour vision using Ishihara testing, visual field assessment, optical coherence tomography (OCT), corneal topography, wide-field retinal photography and intraocular pressure measurement using iCare tonometry. The post holder will also instil ophthalmic medication under the guidance and supervision of a Patient Support and Guidance (PSG) practitioner, in accordance with local policies and procedures.

Job summary

The South Kirklees Enhanced Pathway team is a community mental health team operating in Huddersfield, as an Occupational Therapist you will be crucial to the MDT way of working and pivotal in delivering high quality care.
We have adopted the Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) model of care for service users who are presenting with increased risk and require a more intensive level of support. This feature allows care coordinators to involve the wider MDT in assessing and formulating daily risk management plans.
As the teams OT you will be responsible for conducting OT assessments and interventions with our community service users and working within the OT network that is well established across the Enhanced Pathway
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated qualified OT practitioner who can work in a flexible, innovative and creative way. The role will primarily be based in Folly Hall Mills and we operate Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, we are keen to support a good work and home life balance so flexible working is available.
Due to the large geographical are that we cover being a car driver is essential, milage is available to claim via e-Expenses.

Main duties of the job
A key element of the role will be care coordination and leadership. Demonstrating skills, knowledge and experience to support colleagues with day-to-day caseload management, duty worker role, clinical issues and supporting colleagues/team in prioritisation with clinical acuity.
Undertake initial and risk assessments, formulate and review care plans of service users which promote engagement, stability, recovery and risk management.
Manage a varied caseload.
Function as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Work with service users with both short-term interventions and severe and enduring mental health needs to promote health and wellbeing.
Document care delivery to a high standard in line with professional standards, local and national guidance.
Recognise situations that may be detrimental to the health and well being of the service user and initiates action that may be required.
Management of enquiries and direct referrals from other services such as SPA.
Support student education when allocated to the team and to contribute to the preceptorship and education of newly qualified staff where appropriate.
Maintain professional registration and demonstrate commitment to statutory codes of practice and continued professional development requirements.

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Blackpool Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service (BACFS) as a Band 7 Highly Specialist Dietitian.
We are seeking to recruit someone who is forward thinking and excited by challenge, can implement change, is passionate and committed to delivering a high-quality service and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The role involves providing expert dietary advice, leading on speciality working groups and being an integral member of the supportive CF MDT. This position encourages continuing professional development, teaching and supporting the upskilling of other health care professions and students.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for leading the specialist dietetic aspects of the Blackpool Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service using a high level of knowledge, skills and experience as an independent practitioner.
To deliver a high quality, evidence-based Nutrition and Dietetic service to a specialised area. To act autonomously in the management of a cystic fibrosis adult caseload with varying degrees of nutritional complexity.
To contribute to the main Nutrition and Dietetic service within Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in terms of offering in reaching mentorship and continuous professional development opportunities to the acute and community dietetic team.
To act as an expert nutritional resource within the defined specialist area, Cystic Fibrosis, and to educate and train dietetic students and other health professionals within the Trust.
To contribute to the Trusts clinical governance programme by taking a lead within the specialist area for audit, development and implementation of evidence-based guidelines/protocols/policies and continuing professional development.
About us
BACFS is the first new adult service in the UK for over 40 years, it was formed in 2016. We provide a locally accessible and highly specialised service improving life expectancy and quality of life for adults with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) in Blackpool and surrounding areas. The service is based at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. We are one of the first Cystic Fibrosis Services to offer a digital CF service in the form of virtual clinics, home monitoring, communication for our patients via Attend Anywhere, email and text.
BACFS is a close-knit, highly supportive and encouraging team. The multidisciplinary team (MDT) is made up of 3 Nurses, a Dietitian, a Physiotherapist, a Clinical Psychologist, an Associate Psychological Practitioner, a Social Worker, and 3 x Medics with admin and and service manager support. Work-life balance is greatly endorsed within our team with the opportunity for flexible working.

1) Post holder will work independently (work will be self- directed and autonomous) to manage and provide the cystic fibrosis dietetic service. You will be expected to seek peer support and clinical supervision via the specialist cystic fibrosis dietetic networks.

10) As the nutritional lead for the speciality to advise the medical team on any medications which may affect nutritional therapies e.g. laxatives, anti-emetics.

16) To work in a frequently stressful environment with patients who may be critically ill, chronically ill, terminally ill or undergoing long periods of rehabilitation. To support them and their carers, both nutritionally and emotionally during the course of their disease.

Job summary
This is a great opportunity for someone considering a career in Medical Physics. We are looking for a physics graduate (or equivalent) to assist the Clinical Scientists and Clinical Technologists in our large, busy Radiation Protection Service (RRPPS). The post is for one year and would be ideal work experience to support an application to the Scientist or Practitioner Training Schemes.
RRPPS is part of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust and provides Medical Physics and Radiation Protection services to the Trust and to several customers in the Midlands and further afield. Customers are in NHS Trusts, private healthcare, education and industry. RRPPS staff includes Clinical Scientists and Clinical Technologists in Diagnostic Radiology, Radiation Protection, Nuclear Medicine, MRI and Non-ionising Radiation. We also have an Approved Dosimetry Service and an Instrument Calibration Service.
The post will involve routine calibration of radiation monitoring equipment, data collection, entry and analysis; and report writing. Additional duties will depend on the needs of the service and the experience of the post holder. The post is based in our purpose-built offices and laboratories in Kings Norton, but there will be some travel to external sites.
A full driving licence will be required; own car preferable but not essential.
The post is fixed term, full-time (37.5 hours per week) but some flexibility will be considered.

Job summary
Join our dedicated team as an Equipment Delivery Driver at Hampshire Equipment Services (HES), supporting adults and children across Hampshire who need additional care. Youll deliver, build, and install medical equipment for people with disabilities and those recently discharged from hospital. Promoting peoples independence and quality of life youll help reduce, avoid or delay the need for ongoing care whilst supporting them to remain living at home.
Youll be supporting service users across the whole of Hampshire. Hampshire Equipment Service is based in Basingstoke, and youll need to visit the office each shift to collect/return equipment.
Working Patterns
The current working hours for this position follow a current pattern of Monday Friday, 8.30am 4.30pm, with a 4pm Friday finish.
Our Service runs 7 days a week, 365 days of the year, therefore youll be required to participate in the on-call weekend and bank holiday rota during office hours, working a rotational 1:12 basis, for which enhancements are paid.
Main duties of the job
- Deliver and install medical loan equipment promptly.
- Manage and schedule a busy workload efficiently.

Job summary
The centralised decontamination unit is looking for an enthusiastic and flexible team member to assist in the decontamination and delivery of endoscopes to our user areas within the hospital.

Main duties of the job
The post holders will have the opportunity to work across our community sites with Evelina Community OT team based at Sunshine House Child Development Centre in Camberwell, Southwark and Mary Sheridan Child development Centre, Kennington, Lambeth.
The successful applicants will be working within a large team of community children occupational therapists that support services to the Evelina community population in Lambeth and Southwark and will also be an integral part of the experts@hand multidisciplinary team supporting SEND reforms across these two boroughs.
You will have the opportunity to see children 0-19 across a range of conditions such as complex physical disabilities, Autism, Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), and deliver blocks of assessment and therapy intervention within the service model.
Within our service we use the Canadian Model of Occupational Performance and Engagement (CMOP-e) to guide our clinical reasoning and practice- keeping a clear focus on occupational outcomes.

You will be integrated with nurses and therapists and instrumental in the journey of patients on the intensive support pathway. Assessing patients being discharged from hospital or those requiring support to prevent admission, identifying short-term care support for rehabilitation and immediate equipment needs. The role is fast paced and responsive.
Alongside intensive support, you will triage and assess patients requiring functional OT assessments in their homes, including manual handling and provision of specialised and standard equip, working closely with GPs, physios, social services, HASE (housing adaptations & specialist equip) and the voluntary sector.
There are opportunities for training and development, alongside in-service training, appraisals and clinical supervision.
Main duties of the job
A shift is 7.5hrs between 0830 1630hrs, Mon to Fri.
A typical day includes coordinating your caseload, triaging referrals, supporting junior staff and assistants and prioritising urgent assessments alongside colleagues.
The role will involve:
Completing holistic assessments of patients needs following hospital discharge or to prevent admission.
Completing assessments for low level equipment including riser recliner chairs, minor adaptations (e.g. rails, half steps) and manual handling.
Co-ordinating care needs of patients on the intensive support team by liaising the GP, MDT, relatives and other agencies. Including organising individual client case reviews, communicating plans with the MDT, and being responsible for the ongoing actions in relation to the patient.
Line management of Band 5 and Band 3 team members including training, supervision and appraisals.
Maintaining contemporaneous clinical notes to the high professional standards of the COT.

Main duties of the job
Under the direction of the Head of Nursing, the Clinical Matron is the professional and quality lead for nursing within their specialist areas promoting safe, high-quality and compassionate care, ensuring dignity, inclusivity and best practice in infection prevention and control.
The Clinical Matron is accountable for delivering safe, effective and person-centred care through a strong clinical presence, accessibility and oversight, promptly identifying and addressing concerns. In partnership with the Head of Nursing, the Clinical Matron contributes to strategic service development, delivery of key performance indicators and assurance of compliance with regulatory, professional and internal standards. Job summary
Here at HPFT we have a long history of delivering outstanding care, and we are taking our Acute Psychology Inpatient Services to the next level. We have expanded our psychological provision on all HPFT adult mental health inpatient wards and are establishing Trauma Informed Approaches.

The successful candidate will hold a MSc for Clinical Associate in Psychology qualification OR be nearing qualification.
Main duties of the job
To support in the embedding of trauma informed approaches across the ward including Team Formulations, delivering training and ensuring good data collection at all times. To assist in the formulation and delivery of intervention plans involving the psychological treatment of service users , under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist.To assist in the co-ordination and delivery of therapeutic groups, and to lead on the roll of a new group program.
To be an integrated member of the multi-disciplinary team and promote psychological thinking to support holistic ways of working across the MDT.

Main duties of the job
The position we are recruiting to will be part of the Intermediate Care therapy team , the team consists of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists as well as Therapy Assistants. The successful candidate will be expected to rotate across the bed base units and Discharge to assess beds provision to ensure the needs of the service are met. The successful candidate will work as part of a health and social care multidisciplinary team comprising of medics, pharmacists, social workers and nurses.
Candidates will have recent and relevant post registration experience and an interest in elderly rehabilitation in an acute and community rehabilitation setting. They should also be able to evidence recent self-directed learning and development.
Candidates will need to be able to travel to meet the needs of this post and will therefore need access to a vehicle for work.
The post will provide an excellent opportunity for individuals that enjoy working as part of a close multi-disciplinary/multi agency team. We value regular appraisal and supervision and ensure personal and professional development opportunities are available.

There is an exciting opportunity to become part of the OpCourage North Service whilst working for LYPFT in a permanent Clinical Team Manager role.
As CTM, you will help lead the day-to-day running of the Enhanced/Urgent element of the service across the north of England in partnership with the other CTM. Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is looking to become an integral part of the 111 Mental Health Access Hub which will be based within Hopewood Park Hospital, Sunderland.
The Urgent Triage Clinician (band 6) is an innovative role within the 111 Mental Health Crisis Hub, working closely with the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment teams (CRHT) to support the urgent triage function for any service users for all 4 localities based in Cumbria, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidates main responsibilities will be to complete any urgent crisis triage referrals into the Hub, assessing and signposting the service user to the most appropriate pathway/service. An essential criteria to be successful within this role, candidates should have experience of working with services users with complex needs and also be able to support their carers, families and any other services involved in the service user's care and treatment.
The candidate will be expected to demonstrate enhanced clinical skills to support a robust triage whilst managing risks and act accordingly in response to any safeguarding concerns and within the competency framework aligned to CRHT's across CNTW. Previous experience working within CRHT, urgent/access services would be advantageous but not essential.
Main duties of the job
Undertake urgent telephone triages which require a clinician to assess the level of response urgency and to support referrals to the most appropriate service.
Within the telephone triage, the post holder will be required to use excellent communication skills to engage, risk assess and manage any identified clinical needs and associated risks, and act according to the immediate needs of the individual.
To provide clinical knowledge and guidance to support the call handler function for all the 111 mental calls into the service.
To liaise with the locality CRHT's at the point when a service user requires a face-to-face crisis assessment - ensuring that a robust handover is provided regarding the service user's clinical presentation, any associated risks and in line with response guidelines.
To act as an interface between service users/carers/families/professionals.
Although the post will predominately be to undertake the urgent triage function, there will be an expectation that the post holder will remain skilled by undertaking crisis assessments and/or home-based treatment interventions, by engaging in clinical supervision, live supervision, and participating in training opportunities/forums in line with the competency framework aligned to CRHT's.
The post covers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The post holder will be expected to be flexible in responding to the needs of the service.

Essential
- Professional Qualification and current Professional Registration as, a First Level Registered Nurse (RNMH, RMN, RNLD) or equivalent as an AHP, Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist
- Mentor Training.
- Evidence of post-registration training in clinical/ psychological interventions / skills relevant to the post.
- Proven track record of post registration clinical experience relevant to the post.
- Training in CPA (Care Programme Approach), Safeguarding, MAPPA (Multi Agency Panel for the Protection of Vulnerable Adults) and Child Protection.
- Up-to-date knowledge/experience of relevant legislation.
