Job summary
Band 7 Clinical Psychologist (15 hrs per week)
To work as a clinician in child and adolescent psychological services at UCLH with specific responsibility for supporting inpatient and outpatient paediatric psychology services. The post holder will provide a specialist psychological assessment and treatment service across paediatrics. This is a fixed term temporary role.
The post holder will offer advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and within the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures.On the UCH site, there are acute and general paediatric services to the district in addition to specialist children's and adolescent services (including adolescent medicine and cancer). This post is part of the multi-disciplinary child and adolescent psychological medicine service. The post holder will contribute to the systemic consultation service and a range of psychological therapies for in-patients and out-patients at UCH.
To provide specialist psychological assessments and treatment of children, young people, and their families, using individual, parent and family interviews, informal observation and formal developmental, psychometric and other assessment methods as appropriate.
Main duties of the job
The role is to provide specialist assessment and therapy with children and young people affected by a range of chronic health conditions. There will also be opportunities for group work, training and consultation to other professionals. We are not able to offer visits to the department however we welcome discussions with potential candidates.

Main duties of the job
As Assistant Divisional Manager, Queen Square, this role acts as the senior operational contact for the major programmes and projects across commercial, planning and performance and partnerships across Queen Square Division. This is an exciting opportunity to join Trinity Hospice in a senior operational leadership role, providing maternity leave cover for up to 12 months. The Operational Manager for Clinical Services will work closely with clinical and non-clinical leaders to ensure the continued delivery of safe, effective and high-quality care across a range of hospice services. Job Summary:Senior Social Workers are a key part of the senior management team and the focus of the role is to promote, lead and act in accordance with the principles of personalisation, ensuring the team are working to promote wellbeing, and enabling individuals rights to choice and control. In doing so they will carry out complex assessments of need, plan and deliver services and review outcomes with the individual, their personal support networks and support providers.
Senior Social Workers will lead the Team's social care agenda and will supervise the social care staff within the Team. As a Senior Social Worker you will act as a champion and leader of social care within a locality/quadrant to ensure a focus on outcome based interventions. You will be expected to give robust, consistent expert social care practice advice in partnership with other specialist senior social care colleagues. You will reinforce the need to deliver high quality, cost effective social care services to service users and their carers focused on the principles of choice, control and independence, as well as ensuring their safety. You will have a small caseload of the most complex cases and you will manage the provision of assessments and reviews of social care intervention.
Partnership working is a key component of this post both within and outside the Trust and you will need to be innovative in ensuring that there is a range of appropriate services locally to support individual recovery journeys. You will work with community partners to address complex social issues and will be encouraged to think innovatively about how to address local concerns with our community partners.

The post-holder will provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for groups and individuals with moderate to severe eating disorders, as well as offering specialist advice and consultation to clients, their families, carers, and mental health professionals in relevant care settings. The post holder will supervise, consult and support trainee psychologists/psychotherapists and other clinical members of the team who provide psychologically based care and treatment. The post-holder will work closely with psychological therapy colleagues and colleagues within the wider MDT. The post-holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures, and utilize research skills for audit, policy, service development and research within the area served by the CEDS.
Main duties of the job
To provide specialist psychological assessment and formulation of clients with moderate to severe eating disorders.
To provide a range of brief, medium and long-term specialist psychological interventions/psychotherapy using at least two of the evidence-based therapy models for the treatment of eating disorders (i.e. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, CBT-E, MANTRA, SSCM, Family and Systemic Psychotherapy; Psychodynamic Psychotherapy).

You will be based in the Watford area and will work at the forefront of innovation in Children and Young Peoples Mental Health and play an instrumental role in a forward-thinking service delivering interventions in schools and other settings in South Hertfordshire.
This role is a chance to make a difference in young lives, and as such duties will include elements of operational management in support of the team leader and clinical activity.
Main duties of the job
You will work closely with schools in and around the Watford area delivering early intervention mental health interventions and support. You will also be expected to:
- Support the Team Leader in the operational and clinical leadership of the team and deputise where appropriate in the Team Leaders absence.
- Facilitate case management, clinical skills and line management supervision.
- Complete initial assessments and risk assessments
- Deliver CBT based group and 1:1 interventions in school as well as other clinical activity.
To be eligible for this role, you will need to have:
- Completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Education Mental Health Practice or Psychological Wellbeing Practice for children and young people or have some level of formal CBT training e.g., CYP IAPT

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and innovative Speech & Language Therapist (SLT) to join the Norfolk Forensic Community Learning Disability (NFC-LD) team based at Little Plumstead Hospital.

Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to join our Surgical Admissions and pre-operative assessment service as a Registered Nurse/ODP on a permanent contract.
Upon joining us, you will become part of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high standards of individualised care to those who use our services, while always respecting their privacy and dignity. You will carry out clinical duties to provide the highest quality care to patients on a day-to-day basis. This role involves working within Surgical Admissions and Pre-assessment.
You will need to demonstrate the ability to carry out risk assessments and escalate concerns when they fall outside your scope of practice. This is an exciting time to be part of the pre-operative assessment field, as the role continues to develop nationally. Training modules will be available in collaboration with GIRFT, along with opportunities for professional development.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and motivated, with a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team. You should also be capable of prioritising your workload and working independently, with a strong desire to develop into a competent and confident pre-assessment practitioner.
Main duties of the job
- To be able to undertake nurse led pre-assessment on patients undergoing elective surgery for all specialities, provide health promotion advice and ensure that written information relating to the surgery is given.
- Patient is optimised for surgery and risks are identified and action taken. This involves screening of patients ensuring that they are fit for surgery and escalating when necessary
- Ensure that effective communication is maintained both within pre-assessment, surgical admissions and with relevant multidisciplinary team.
- When working in the Surgical Admissions Unit to help ensure the smooth running of the department and the timely arrival of patients to theatre, liaising with the multi-disciplinary team and other departments on a daily basis following guidelines and protocol
- The staff nurse or ODP in POAC is responsible for the pre-operative assessment of adult patients having a planned surgical procedure for their fitness for general anaesthetic and surgery within Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.
- You will be responsible for patient-centred assessments which includes liaising with patients, their carers, and the multi-disciplinary team.
Training and mentoring will be provided to support you in reaching your goals.
