About Evolve Psychology
At Evolve Psychology, we do things differently. Founded in 2014 by Dr Laura Powling, Evolve Psychology began with a bold aim to redefine what clinical and forensic psychology means in practice. Job summary
Come join the Radiology Department for a great working experience and the opportunity to develop your career in the unique environment of St George's University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 7 sonographers to join our friendly and well-supported ultrasound team. As our team grows here within the Trust, to accommodate the developing services, we welcome all General and Gynae trained Sonographers who wish to work in one of the most dynamic hospital environments South-West London has to offer.
Main duties of the job
The service requires all sonographers to assist in a wide range of ultrasound examinations including all general, small parts, gynaecology and basic vascular examinations. However, you will occasionally be required to rotate through our community sites at St John's Therapy centre in Wandsworth and the Nelson Medical Practice in Wimbledon. Site preferences will be considered when rostering to avoid difficult commutes.
This is a cross-site position, working across 4 sites with a total of 18 Ultrasound rooms to enable staff to benefit from the valuable experience and scope of practice that each department has to offer in addition to helping us meet the demand on our service. All departments are equipped with the latest ultrasound machines and software with a mixture of the latest GE, Toshiba, Samsung and Philips Ultrasound scanners.
The service also provides ultrasound imaging to the Ambulatory Care unit which provides sub-acute care via Accident & Emergency. This was the first Ambulatory Care unit in the country to have a dedicated ultrasound room situated within the unit.
About us
The post holder is expected to have a clear understanding of how this post contributes to the achievement of the trust vision of:
A thriving Foundation Trust at the heart of an integrated healthcare system. One that delivers improved patient care at a community, hospital and specialist setting, supported by a unique and nationally recognised programme of research, education and employee engagement.
We expect all our staff to share the values that are important to the Trust, being Excellent, Kind, Responsible & Respectful, and behave in a way that reflect these.
St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and expects that all staff will share this commitment. The Trust is clear that all staff have a responsibility to be aware of children and adult safeguarding policies and procedures and that each member of staff, clinical and non-clinical, will attend child and/or adult safeguarding training that is provided at an appropriate level to suit their role. The Trust has the additional expectation that all staff will be able to identify concerns and know what action to take.
