o To support the midwives in the Day Assessment Unit with Monofer infusions, chaperone for the cervical balloon catheter inductions

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust has a great opportunity for a Portfolio Pathway Doctor (ST3+) in Emergency Medicine to join its very busy Emergency Medicine department based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.The post is for an initial Fixed Term Contract of 24 months initially and maybe extended for a further 24 months . This post is available from September 2026.The post holder will be required to support the junior Resident team of the Emergency Medicine Hub, therefore, prior NHS A&E experience is preferred for this role.All applicants MUST hold a FULL GMC registration with a Licence to Practice in the UK.We anticipate this to be a popular post, therefore early applications are welcomed and encouraged. Main duties of the job
The post holder will work in all areas of the Emergency Department.
Typical duties may include:
Resuscitation and initial management of emergency cases in a team.
Management of other patients presenting to the ED
Admission of patients to inpatient teams for further management.Being confident in and MUST be able to work independently at Middle Grade LevelSupporting Junior Resident Doctors within the Emergency Department
Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance
Participate in clinical audit across the department in line with Trust policy and guidelines.
Implement audit and research findings across the department.
Comply with the Trust clinical governance processes in a timely manner..We are expanding the number of Resident Doctors within the department and also working towards making a new attractive rota inbuilt with time to pursue any special interests/audit.There are opportunities to be involved in research projects, learn point of care ultrasound skills and to be involved in organising different courses.

The Mechanical Estates Officer is a technical specialist role providing Authorised Person cover and specialist technical assurance for the Trust's mechanical building services. Main duties of the job
The post holder will act as Authorised Person for one or more mechanical specialisms (for example heating and ventilation, water safety, medical gas pipeline systems, or pressurised systems) as determined by service need and individual competency sign-off, supporting the Senior Mechanical Manager in ensuring mechanical systems remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose across all Trust sites.The role contributes technical expertise to planned and reactive maintenance, capital and small works interfaces, and the Trust's Integrated Management System (IMS), working closely with the Operations team, contractors and specialist suppliers.

Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Dietitian to join our well established and friendly Nutrition and Dietetics team at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. This permanent Band 6 post is full time (37.5 hours per week) specialising in type 1 diabetes outpatients, DAFNE (potential opportunity for training/development) and the REACT team, providing dietetic input to a multidisciplinary therapy team to ensure vulnerable patients' nutritional and hydration needs are met particularly in urgent and emergency care.
The post holder will also provide the clinical support and development of a Band 5 Dietitian, as well as supporting B and C student placements.
The Nutrition and Dietetic Department consists of over 40 members of staff, providing integrated acute and community nutrition and dietetic services across Buckinghamshire.
We actively encourage CPD and clinical supervision for the professional development of the team. The department has good secretarial / IT support and takes students for B and C placements. Accommodation on site may be available.
Main duties of the job
To be an autonomous practitioner and act as a source of clinical expertise in the areas of type 1 diabetes in the out-patient setting and nutrition support across acute and community services (supporting timely discharge/front door care).
To work autonomously, developing dietetic input to a multidisciplinary therapyTeam (REACT) to ensure vulnerable patients nutritional and hydration needs are met particularly in urgent and emergency care.
To provide specialised assessment, treatment and support of patients requiring dietetic treatment in diabetes services.
To provide support for dietitians, dietetic assistants, student dietitians and members of the wider MDT.
To develop and maintain a high standard of knowledge and practical experience in dietetics and nutritional support.
To work autonomously to assess and advise on nutritional diagnosis (interpretation of biochemistry, anthropometry, clinical condition and diet history) and the development of suitable Dietetics care plans, feeding plans/regimens (including the calculation of nutritional requirements and client centred goals)
To develop and deliver the dietetic service within urgent and emergency care (accident and emergency, short stay ward) to ensure patients receive dietetic support in a timely manner, in order to influence nutritional status as early as possible.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Bowel Cancer Screening centre as a Programme Clerk, supporting the early diagnosis and prevention of cancer across the county.
The programme works across Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (MKUH) and Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT). This post will be based at Milton Keynes University Hospital, providing on-site administrative support for the programme. This will include, but is not limited to, handling incoming and outgoing post, preparing letters and packs for patients, communicating with patients, and working alongside clinical staff. It is an expectation that the successful post-holder will be able to travel to MKUH and BHT sites as required.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Bowel Cancer Screening centre as a Programme Administrator, supporting the early diagnosis and prevention of cancer across the county.
The programme works across Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (MKUH) and Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT). This post will be based at Milton Keynes University Hospital, providing on-site administrative support for the programme. This will include, but is not limited to, booking patients onto hospital systems, preparing letters and packs for patients, liaising with MKUH Endoscopy, and working alongside clinical staff. There is an expectation that the successful post-holder will be able to travel to MKUH and BHT sites as required.
The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator, able to handle the demands of a busy NHS service. They will be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as in a team of clinical and non-clinical staff. Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing quality patient care and experience are essential.

Main duties of the job
As a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist within the Experts at Hand programme, you will provide consultation, coaching and training to education settings across Buckinghamshire, supporting inclusive, communication-friendly environments.Working with education staff, you will identify and reduce barriers to communication, participation and learning through observation, consultation and evidence-based recommendations. You will support children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs, including Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), speech sound disorders, social communication differences, language and learning needs, neurodevelopmental communication needs and participation difficulties.Through the graduated approach, you will help education staff implement strategies and reasonable adjustments.You will deliver training, develop resources and promote communication-inclusive practice across educational settings.Working with colleagues across education, health, social care and the voluntary sector, you will contribute to strengthening SEND provision and improving outcomes. An exciting opportunity has arisen at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust for a Band 6 Deputy Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our brand-new Alcohol Care Team (ACT).
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a service being built from scratch. Backed by our Drug and Alcohol Strategy 2030, the ACT will transform how BHT identifies, treats and supports patients affected by alcohol-related harm -- one of the biggest and fastest-growing causes of ill health in our local population. You will play a key role in delivering hands-on specialist care, supporting patients through detoxification, and helping to reduce the harm falling disproportionately on our most deprived communities.
The team will sit within Integrated Medicine and will be led by our newly appointed Matron for Gastroenterology -- a great time to join a service with real backing, ambition and room to grow. You will work closely with colleagues across the acute site and with community and specialist partners including One Recovery Bucks and BeHealthyBucks.
We are looking for a motivated, compassionate nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and developing new specialist skills. A passion for tackling stigma and improving outcomes for vulnerable patients is a must.
Experience in alcohol care, addictions, liver disease or a related specialist field would be strongly desirable.

Main duties of the job
- Delivers direct specialist care to patients with alcohol dependence and related harm, working as part of the Alcohol Care Team.
- Supports systematic screening and assessment of patients across the acute site.

- Builds effective working relationships with specialist partners including One Recovery Bucks and BeHealthyBucks.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust for a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist to lead the clinical delivery of our brand-new Alcohol Care Team (ACT).
This is a genuinely rare chance to help build a specialist service from the ground up. Backed by our Drug and Alcohol Strategy 2030, the ACT will transform how BHT identifies, treats and supports patients affected by alcohol-related harm -- one of the single biggest and fastest-growing causes of ill health in our local population. You will play a lead clinical role in shaping pathways, driving early intervention, and reducing the alcohol harm paradox that hits our most deprived communities hardest.
The team will sit within Integrated Medicine and will be led by our newly appointed Matron for Gastroenterology. You will work across the acute site and with community and specialist partners including One Recovery Bucks, BeHealthyBucks and Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust to deliver joined-up, patient-centred care.
We're looking for an experienced, confident nurse leader who is passionate about tackling stigma, improving outcomes for vulnerable patients, and making a genuine, measurable difference to the health of the Buckinghamshire population.
Experience in alcohol care, addictions, liver disease, or a related specialist field is strongly desirable, as is a track record of clinical leadership and service development.

- To prepare cytotoxics, monoclonal antibodies and other aseptic products on a day to day basis in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- To ensure that handling and storage procedures are strictly followed for cytotoxic/aseptic medicines and that any spillages are cleared in accordance with departmental procedures.

The role contributes to maintaining high standards of patient care, pharmaceutical services, and professional practice in line with the standards set by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties
Support the provision of a safe and effective aseptic pharmacy service by processing prescriptions, maintaining accurate documentation, and complying with all relevant legislation, quality standards, and procedures. Undertake stock management activities, including receipt, storage, stock checks, stock rotation (FEFO), date checks, and reporting discrepancies. Assist in the safe handling, storage, and disposal of medicines, including cytotoxic products.
Maintain accurate records, support filing and archiving processes, and monitor environmental and equipment parameters to ensure compliance with quality standards. Participate in environmental monitoring, cleaning schedules, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control activities within the aseptic unit.
Assist with aseptic preparation activities, including assembly of materials and basic calculations where required. Adhere to aseptic techniques, infection prevention requirements, and validated hand hygiene procedures. Maintain stock levels, replenish consumables, and support general housekeeping duties.
Communicate effectively, respond to enquiries, escalate concerns appropriately, and seek guidance from senior staff when required. Participate in departmental rotas, mandatory training, performance reviews, and continuing professional development. Work flexibly across pharmacy services to support operational needs and continuity of patient care.

Job summary
This Cancer & Aseptics maternity leave cover role provides an excellent opportunity to develop valuable experience in cancer and aseptic services. They will be an integral member of the cancer multidisciplinary team. The post holder will gain valuable aseptic experience in our aseptic suite and they will liaise closely with the chemotherapy trained nurses on the day units and the inpatient haematology ward where we offer stem cell transplants.The role requires a proactive positive approach and an excellent team player. BHT Cancer service is growing rapidly, and newly NICE approved medications are being initiated and the service offering is being developed. As an integral part of the team this role will be working with the multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the patient journey is as smooth as possible.
Main duties of the job
This is a training post that assists in providing a clinical service to the oncology and haematology ward and cancer day units. The post holder will also provide pharmacist support to the aseptic services unit, hospice and will be involved in clinical trial provision for cancer patients.
They will provide specialised professional education and support to pharmacy and clinical staff working in the relevant areas to improve standard and quality of patient care.
On a rotational basis support the aseptic unit manager in the day to day running of the pharmacy aseptic unit.
Support and deputise for the Advanced Pharmacist for Cancer and Aseptics.
Clinically verify prescriptions for patients in a timely and accurate manner. To accuracy check dispensed medicines and support logistics to deliver correct cancer and supportive medicines accurately and on time.
Work with clinical teams at the point of care delivery to understand patients medication history, clinical needs and providing medicines knowledge as required to support the patient journey.
Support patients understanding of their medicines through counselling, drug history taking, and medicines reconciliation. The role is expected to act in a compassionate, empathetic, and professional manner that supports the pharmacy department and trusts values.

Cellular pathology at Buckshealthcare NHS Trust, based at High Wycombe, is looking for a dedicated, competent, self-motivated, medical laboratory assistant (laboratory technician) to join our friendly teamThis post requires someone who can working alongside colleagues to take part in laboratory rota for - cut up, monitoring main Lab, throw-out and scanning slide for Digital Pathology, assisting the Biomedical Scientists in the provision of an efficient, effective and comprehensive service for sample preparations.In addition, this post may be required to participate in the retrieval of archived slides and data reports required to enable the Pathologists to attend specialty MDT's (Multi-Disciplinary Team) meetings.Training and competency will be provided by the laboratory proving laboratory competence.
Main duties of the job
- Receive fresh and formalin fixed specimens. Know the correct procedure for their safe handling including High Risk specimens.
- Check quality of information on both request form and specimen and assign a Histopathology surgical number.
- Enter details of the specimen onto the cellular pathology computer using the relevant codes.
- Prepare the cut up area for dissection of specimens by either medical or technical staff.
- Ensure there are adequate supplies of consumables.
- Assist at BMS and surgical cut up; enter details onto cellular pathology computer systems, printing the cassettes with the correct details and checking that the correct number is assigned to the specimen, request form and cassettes.
- To load and unload scanners in the digital pathology suite, slides are loaded onto either the Ultrafast scanner (UFS) or Glissandro scanner, depending on the type of slide used.
- Ensuring all slides are macroscopically Quality Checked before scanning, ensuring slides are clean, properly labelled and that the coverslip is not protruding from the edges of the slide.

Job summary
We are looking for a proactive and organised Digital Records Officer to support the delivery and development of digital records services across the Trust.
The post will work across a varied portfolio including clinical systems support, EPR digitisation, Clinical Change Advisory Group coordination, post and print services, and wider Medical Records service resilience. The role will support the safe, accurate and timely management of patient information, help resolve digital records issues, coordinate actions across teams and contribute to the Trust's transition towards more efficient digital ways of working.
This is a varied role requiring strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across Medical Records, Digital, Clinical Systems, EPR and operational teams.
Main duties of the job
The Digital Records Officer will support the delivery of digital records and associated operational services across the Trust.
Key duties include:
- Supporting the Clinical Change Advisory Group, including coordination of requests, actions and governance documentation.
- Providing first-line support for Evolve and records-related clinical system issues.
- Supporting EPR digitisation, scanning, migration, data quality and paper-reduction workstreams.
- Coordinating and monitoring post and print services, including supplier performance, service issues and cost improvement opportunities.
- Supporting Medical Records service resilience by maintaining knowledge across key operational areas and providing cover during periods of absence or service pressure.
- Liaising with clinical, operational, digital, IT, Information Governance and supplier teams to resolve issues and support service improvement.
- Monitoring risks, actions and recurring issues, escalating concerns where required.

Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to lead the Trust's Access to Health Records and Freedom of Information functions, while also supporting the Registration Authority service.
The post holder will provide day-to-day leadership and oversight across Subject Access Requests, Access to Health Records requests and FOI activity, ensuring requests are managed lawfully, accurately and within statutory timescales. The role will also support secure and appropriate access to clinical systems through the Trust's Registration Authority arrangements.
Working closely with Medical Records, Information Governance, Corporate Applications and wider clinical and corporate teams, the post holder will help bring key information rights functions together into a coordinated service, providing clear accountability, improved resilience and consistent standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in information rights, health records or NHS administration who is looking to develop into a lead role with responsibility for service delivery, complex case management, staff support and continuous improvement.
Main duties of the job
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of the Trust's Access to Health Records and Freedom of Information services.
- Ensure Subject Access Requests, Access to Health Records requests and FOI requests are managed accurately and within statutory timescales.
- Provide support and guidance on complex, sensitive and high-risk information requests.
- Monitor workloads, performance and compliance, identifying risks and areas for improvement.
- Support and develop staff within the service, promoting consistent standards and effective ways of working.
- Support the Trust's Registration Authority function and secure access to clinical systems.
- Work closely with Information Governance, Corporate Applications and teams across the Trust to provide a joined-up service.
- Help shape and improve the service as Access to Health Records, FOI and related functions are brought together under a single lead.
