We are seeking a motivated and reliable SemiSkilled Maintenance Assistant to join the Estates team at Darlington Memorial Hospital. This role supports skilled craft staff in maintaining critical hospital plant, equipment and services, helping to ensure a safe, compliant and wellmaintained environment for patients, staff and visitors. You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary Estates team with opportunities to develop practical skills within a healthcare setting.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support Estates craft staff in delivering planned preventative and reactive maintenance across hospital buildings and services. The role involves carrying out semiskilled maintenance tasks, assisting with inspections and testing, completing basic repairs, and undertaking labouring and cleaning duties as required.
You will work independently on appropriate tasks, respond to maintenance requests via the electronic helpdesk system, accurately complete job records, and participate in shift and oncall rotas. Flexibility, good communication skills and a strong commitment to health and safety are essential, particularly when working in sensitive patient environments.

Main duties of the job
Summary of the Role:
The Catering Assistant role is to support both regeneration chefs and other catering assistants in the provision of a highly professional catering service within the retail services at Darlington Memorial Hospital both within the Retail restaurant and Coffee Shop.
This role would be expected to follow the duties laid out by the Retail Service Supervisor/Manager in the day to day retail services to both staff and visitor and to ensure that a high quality and cost effective service at all times in a courteous manner.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a key departmental catering supervisor to work within the organisation, with responsibility for the forward planning and development of the restaurants, coffee shops and hospitality elements at University Hospital North Durham within Synchronicity Care Limited (SCL).

Main duties of the job
The Catering Retail Supervi is responsible for the daily supervision of staffing and service delivery of the Retail Services at University Hospital north Durha within prescribed budgetary limits, providing a comprehensive, high quality, cost effective and safe service to patients, staff and visitors and external contracts which is responsive to their changing needs.
You will provide day-to-day supervisor of retail operational staff and ensure that all retail and hospitality services within SCL are developed and maintained to meet and excel present and future expectations and to ensure commercial profitability of all retail outlets and strive to exceed financial targets.

Job summary
The Ward Hostess/Host role is responsible for the efficient and effective service of meal ordering, beverages and meals to patients at ward level to support ward clinical staff in the provision of a highly professional catering service at Darlington Memorial Hospital.

An excellent opportunity has arisen within Synchronicity Care Limited (SCL) for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed individual to influence and contribute as part of the Domestic Services Team at Darlington Memorial Hospital.
Domestic Assistants are important members of the team who assist with maintaining a clean and welcoming environment over a 24/7 period for patients, staff and visitors within a busy acute hospital.The successful applicant should preferably have previous cleaning experience in a healthcare environment however full training will be provided and all successful post holders will be expected to work towards gaining a NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning and Support Services .
Successful post holders will be expected to work shift pattern which includes weekends. All post holders will be subject to a 6 month probationary period.
Main duties of the job
Successful post holders will be required to carry out specific cleaning and other related duties following set procedures and standards to maintain the levels of cleanliness throughout the environment.
They will be required to work as part of a team and have the ability to use a degree of initiative to prioritise and organise the daily duties, whilst maintaining a professional approach at all times regardless of the situation.
They will ensure that communicaton channels are maintained between appropirate staff, visitors and patient groups with regard to departmental cleaning hygiene.
Post holders will be also be expected to be flexible to the needs of the service ensuring that a continuity of service is maintained whilst adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job
The post holder will effectively support and supervise the domestic & linen services team using available resources, whilst maintaining and continuing to improve the quality of the service. This includes monitoring the levels of cleanliness within the hospital environment, ensuring adherence to National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2025, all relevant method statements, policies and procedures, ensuring corrective measures are taken within agreed rectification times.
The post holder will be expected to co-ordinate and effectively communicate with other departments within the hospital environment and across the Trust as appropriate.

Domestic Assistants are important members of the team who assist with maintaining a clean and welcoming environment over a 24/7 period for patients, staff and visitors within a busy acute hospital. The successful applicant should preferably have previous cleaning experience in a healthcare environment however full training will be provided and all successful post holders will be expected to work towards gaining a NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning and Support Services .
All post holders will be subject to a 6 month probationary period.
The rota for the position is a 2 week working pattern as follows:
Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 10am until 8pm
Week 2 - Wed, Sat, Sun 10am until 8pm
Main duties of the job
Successful post holders will be required to carry out specific cleaning and other related duties following set procedures and standards to maintain the levels of cleanliness throughout the hospital environment.

Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Training and Food Compliance Manager to join our Catering and Facilities team. This is a key role in ensuring consistently high standards of food safety, hygiene, training, compliance and service delivery across our catering and retail operations.
You will provide expert advice, guidance and practical support to catering and retail teams, ensuring staff understand and follow relevant legislation, policies, procedures and Trust standards. You will coordinate and monitor food safety training, support audits and inspections, identify areas for improvement and ensure appropriate actions are implemented and sustained.
The role will involve working closely with operational managers, supervisors and staff to promote a positive food safety culture, maintain compliance and continually improve the quality and safety of our services. You will also contribute to the development of training programmes, compliance documentation, monitoring processes and performance reporting.
We are seeking someone with strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and training requirements, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work confidentally
Main duties of the job
Lead and coordinate food safety, hygiene and compliance across catering and retail services, ensuring Trust policies, procedures and legislative requirements are consistently met.
Provide expert advice, guidance and practical support to catering and retail managers, supervisors and staff on food safety, hygiene, allergen management and compliance.
Develop, coordinate and monitor food safety and compliance training programmes, ensuring staff complete mandatory and role-specific training within required timescales.
Plan and undertake food safety inspections, audits and monitoring activities, identifying areas of non-compliance and supporting managers to implement effective corrective actions.
Monitor food safety documentation, records and compliance systems, ensuring information is accurate, up to date and readily available for inspection.
Support external inspections, audits and regulatory visits, coordinating responses and ensuring agreed actions are completed within timescales.
Investigate food safety incidents, complaints and areas of concern, identifying root causes and implementing measures to prevent recurrence.
