Job summary
Woodingdean Medical Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive practice in Brighton.
We are a well-established practice caring for approximately 8,500 patients and are proud of the strong team we have built. We want our GPs to have the time and support they need to provide excellent patient care, while maintaining a healthy and sustainable working life.
We are initially looking for 2 sessions per week, increasing to 4 sessions (demand dependant). We are happy to discuss the working pattern with the successful candidate.

Main duties of the job
The role
As one of our Salaried GPs, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred general medical services as part of our wider clinical team.
The role will include a mixture of face-to-face, telephone and video consultations, together with appropriate home/care home visits and the usual clinical responsibilities associated with general practice.
You will not have a personally assigned patient list. However, on your working days you will contribute fairly to the practices clinical workload, including prescriptions, correspondence, results and other associated clinical administration.
You will work closely with our GP Partners, clinical colleagues, Patient Services Team and wider PCN professionals to ensure patients receive safe, responsive and well-coordinated care.

Main duties of the job
The Operations Manager will lead the day-to-day delivery of PCN services, ensuring teams are appropriately staffed, supported, and operating effectively. The post holder will oversee operational performance, coordinate workforce planning and recruitment, manage people-related issues, support service improvement, and resolve operational challenges across multiple services and locations.
Working closely with Team Leads, clinicians, practices and partner organisations, the Operations Manager will ensure services are delivered safely, consistently and efficiently, while helping develop the operational systems, management structures and governance arrangements needed to support a complex multidisciplinary organisation.They will also have a key role in ensuring compliance with organisational policies, governance requirements and agreed ways of working across PCN services.
About us
East & Central Brighton PCN consists of nine GP practices serving the communities of Whitehawk, Woodingdean, Queens Park, Kemptown, Hanover, Lewes Road and London Road. Our multidisciplinary teams work collaboratively to improve patient outcomes and deliver high-quality primary care services across the network.The PCN brings together a multidisciplinary workforce, including Pharmacy, Frailty, Social Prescribing, Health Optimisation, Home Visiting, Mental Health and Engagement teams. These teams include pharmacists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, social prescribers, care coordinators and engagement staff.
Together, they support patients through proactive, community-based care, helping to improve access, reduce health inequalities and provide joined-up support outside traditional GP appointments. Through initiatives such as the Integrated Community Team and weekly Health Hub, the PCN works with practices, patients and partner organisations to promote wellbeing and strengthen links between primary care, community services and the wider local system.

Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong organisational and people skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and supporting service development.The Office Administrator will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the PCN office environment and administrative functions. The post holder will coordinate office systems, workforce administration, recruitment processes, governance requirements and staff support activities, contributing to a well-managed and compliant organisation.
About us
East & Central Brighton PCN consists of nine GP practices serving the communities of Whitehawk, Woodingdean, Queens Park, Kemptown, Hanover, Lewes Road and London Road. Our multidisciplinary teams work collaboratively to improve patient outcomes and deliver high-quality primary care services across the network.The PCN brings together a multidisciplinary workforce, including Pharmacy, Frailty, Social Prescribing, Health Optimisation, Home Visiting, Mental Health and Engagement teams. These teams include pharmacists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, social prescribers, care coordinators and engagement staff.
Together, they support patients through proactive, community-based care, helping to improve access, reduce health inequalities and provide more joined-up support outside traditional GP appointments. Through initiatives such as the Integrated Community Team and weekly Health Hub, the PCN works with practices, patients and partner organisations to promote wellbeing and strengthen links between primary care, community services and the wider local system.

Office and Facilities Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of PCN office facilities, ensuring they are safe, organised and welcoming.
- Manage room bookings and coordinate the use of administrative spaces.
- Liaise with premises providers and contractors regarding maintenance, repairs and service issues.
- Order and manage office supplies, equipment and resources.
- Maintain equipment inventories and coordinate servicing, testing and maintenance schedules.
- Support compliance with health and safety requirements, including fire safety, risk assessments and first aid arrangements.
Workforce and HR Administration
- Coordinate recruitment processes, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews and issuing correspondence.
- Assist with onboarding new staff, preparing offer documentation, induction packs and access requests.
