Job summary
Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HTFT would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.
Are you passionate about making a real difference to the lives of children and young people? We have an exciting opportunity to join the Inspire CAMHS Team as an Occupational Therapy Activity Worker, supporting young people experiencing acute and complex mental health difficulties on their journey towards recovery and wellbeing.
As part of a dynamic and dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in helping children and young people engage in meaningful therapeutic activities that build confidence, independence, and resilience. Working within either the Inspire Inpatient Service or the Inspire Family Day Service, you will provide trauma-informed, person-centred support in environments where every day brings opportunities to positively impact a young person's life.
While predominantly based in one service area, you will work flexibly across both settings when required, helping to ensure continuity of care and a seamless experience for young people and their families throughout their treatment journey.
Main duties of the job
Working under the guidance and supervision of registered practitioners, you will support the delivery of creative, therapeutic, and occupation-focused interventions designed to help young people achieve their goals and maximise their potential.
You will encourage and motivate young people and families to participate in meaningful activities, develop essential daily living skills, build positive routines, and engage in experiences that promote recovery, emotional wellbeing, and social inclusion. You will also contribute to the safe and effective running of the service through observation, monitoring, risk management, and accurate clinical record-keeping.
A key part of this role involves building positive relationships with young people, families, carers, and partner professionals, ensuring care is compassionate, collaborative, and recovery-focused. By working across both the Inspire Inpatient and Family Day Services as needed, you will help provide a joined-up and consistent therapeutic experience that supports young people every step of the way.

Job summary
We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Specialist Nurse with a keen interest in developing leadership skills and delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within our well-established Low Secure Ward. This is an exciting opportunity to join our clinically led, operationally enabled Forensic Division within a 20-bedded low secure unit, supporting individuals with complex needs, with a focus on rehabilitation and reintegration into the community.
This vacancy has arisen as a result of developing our leadership team, reflecting our positive culture of development and career progression within the service.
You will play a key role in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care, contributing to a positive patient experience. Working closely with the Ward Manager and multidisciplinary team, you will support the day-to-day clinical leadership of the ward and act as a role model for best practice.
While experience within forensic services would be advantageous, it is not essential. We are committed to supporting the successful candidate in developing the knowledge and skills required within this specialist area.
You will work within the Low Secure team at Pine View and support services across the Medium Secure Wards at the Humber Centre, contributing to service development and quality improvement in line with Trust objectives.
Main duties of the job
As a valued member of staff, you will receive a comprehensive induction to the Trust and team. A bespoke training passport is in place for Humber Centre staff, including a Forensic Induction, Trauma-Informed Care training, a structured buddy system, and a protected supernumerary period to support your transition.
Staff wellbeing is a key priority, with established support systems including regular clinical and managerial supervision, weekly reflective practice, and team debriefs following shifts, promoting a positive and supportive working environment.
In this role, you will deliver high standards of evidence-based, person-centred care to individuals with complex mental health needs within a low secure forensic setting. You will support the day-to-day coordination of the ward, including acting in a leadership capacity in the absence of the Ward Manager.
You will act as a named nurse, coordinating care planning, risk assessment, and reviews in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. The role includes promoting a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment, supporting rehabilitation and reintegration into the community.
You will provide supervision and mentorship to junior staff and students, contribute to risk management and clinical governance, and participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives. You will also work collaboratively across Low and Medium Secure services to support continuity of care.
