Job summary
Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is the lead provider for perinatal services for the Yorkshire and Humber provider collaborative. There will be a further bed expansion to the existing and only mother and baby unit in Yorkshire and Humber, which will allow for inpatient care to be provided for mothers and their infants closer to their home. The mother and baby unit provides acute inpatient care for women and their infant (from 32 weeks of pregnancy up to 12 months postnatal) who are suffering from a moderate to severe mental illness.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual(s) to join our innovative, dynamic and forward thinking perinatal mental health referrals management service. The Referrals Management Service was established to coordinate referrals from across the region for the Yorkshire and Humber Mother and Baby Unit. This is a new and developing part of the existing perinatal mental health community provision, providing opportunities for the successful candidate to contribute to the development of the service. The post holder will be required to work across the perinatal community service and mother and baby unit, whilst liaising with acute mental health wards, community mental health services, health professionals and social care across the region. The post holder will attend CPA meetings for service users placed out of area and in acute mental health wards. Experience of triaging referrals and liaising with professionals would be advantageous for the role.
Some of our families have very complex social circumstances and this needs sensitive handling alongside the management of the mental illness and the ongoing safeguarding of mother and infant. The post holder will lead on partners assessments and the initiation of early help plans to support wider family.

The aim is to enable thoughtful, compassionate and therapeutic risk management delivered in partnership with colleagues from the Probation Service, with the ultimate aim of reducing reoffending, increasing psychological well-being and developing a workforce with the additional competencies for working effectively with this group. The team draw on an eclectic range of psychological theory to best enable non-psychological practitioners to understand behaviour which may often challenge working alliances.
Main duties of the job

The YHPDP office is in Leeds there is an expectation that there will be some hybrid working, so the post holder may work remotely for some of the time each week. The post requires regular travel across the region, including to HMP Millsike and HMP Doncaster.

Job summary
The Acute Inpatient Service specialises in providing assessment and treatment for adults experiencing acute episodes of mental ill health. We support adults who present with a variety of experiences, needs and diagnoses, working dynamically to collaboratively support their holistic wellbeing beyond 'just' a diagnosis. The Acute Inpatient Service is a progressive advocate of reducing stigma regarding mental ill health and actively works alongside partner agencies and carers to achieve individualised recovery goals.
The Acute Inpatient Service can be a challenging environment due to the fast pace and variation in the presentations of the individuals whom we support. However, such factors contribute towards the dynamism, enthusiasm and up skilling of highly supportive teams. The Acute Inpatient Service collaboratively and compassionately supports individuals in their experience of crisis. LYPFT are invested in reducing the use of restrictive interventions, especially within inpatient services. We provide care for individuals who receive treatment under the Mental Health Act and those who are admitted informally. Teams have enthusiastically worked to embed the Safewards model into everyday culture and practice and are actively working on the implementation of further initiatives to improve the experience of services users.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experience and dedicated Staff Nurses to join us and be part of our forward thinking, progressive team that invests in staff through continuous development and career progression. All team members will be supported through structured supervision and the appraisal process.

LYPFT are invested in the development of its staff. The Trust offer a variety of training and development opportunities in relation to clinical leadership, physical health care, progression through banding and more nuanced opportunities that arise within the service.
In LYPFT, we pride ourselves on upholding our Trust Values, not only for those receiving care under our services, but for the staff who we support. We keep it simple; we have integrity, we care.
