Job summary
Join our specialist Voice, Stammering and Upper Airway Disorders Team within the Community Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service.
We are a small, friendly and motivated team committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. We welcome applications from developing Band 5/6 clinicians interested in this specialist area. The role offers a varied outpatient caseload including Dysphonia, Inducible Laryngeal Obstruction, Cough Hypersensitivity Syndrome and Stammering. You will be supported by the Clinical Lead and Clinical Specialist, with training, supervision and opportunities to work alongside experienced colleagues.
Therapy is delivered across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, with regular team meetings and CPD to support learning and service development. Our wider county-wide service has strong links with acute colleagues and a dedicated administration team. With around 30 clinicians from Bands 48a, we prioritise holistic care and support staff to develop their skills and interests.

Main duties of the job
To provide assessment and therapy for adults with Voice Disorders, Upper Airway Disorders and Stammering. To liaise with other professionals involved in patients' care as appropriate. To continue to develop your knowledge and skills, a process which we prioritise through a commitment to CPD in both internal and external training with protected time for CPD / professional reflection / mandatory training. Your development is supported by your annual appraisal and regular clinical and managerial supervision. To work both independently and as part of a team, being part of regular team meetings and contributing to the excellent support network which underpins our Service. To be involved with service / quality improvement projects / research to develop different ways of working to enhance the care we provide.

We are seeking a compassionate, proactive individual to join our Adult Speech and Language Therapy team, working across community and inpatient settings in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. You should have a genuine interest in adult communication needs, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently while building positive relationships with patients, carers and colleagues.
A commitment to person-centred care and ongoing learning is essential. This Band 3 role offers a clear development pathway to Band 4. Applicants with substantial relevant experience who already meet the required competencies may be appointed at Band 4. Band 3 applicants will be supported through a structured programme, with progression available on successful completion.
We offer a welcoming team, regular supervision, ongoing training, support to complete Band 4 competencies, access to clinical and administrative resources, team meetings and annual appraisal.
As communication is central to this role, shortlisted candidates will be asked to interact with adults with communication difficulties during interview to demonstrate rapport-building and person-centred values.

Main duties of the job
As a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with qualified Speech and Language Therapists to support adults who may experience communication difficulties as a result of conditions such as: Stroke Dementia Progressive neurological conditions Brain injury Other acquired communication difficulties No two days are the same, but you may: Support adults with communication difficulties in their own homes, care homes, clinics and inpatient settings. Deliver therapy programmes and communication-focused activities under the guidance of Speech and Language Therapists. Help with planning and carrying out communication groups Develop communication resources, such as communication aids and communication books. Liaise with patients, carers and the wider multidisciplinary team. Organise appointments, maintain records and support service delivery. You will work both independently and as part of a supportive team, helping people achieve their communication goals and maximise their participation in daily life.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Practitioner to join our Mental Health Liaison Service.
The team is based in the Leicester Royal Infirmary and provide assessments for over 18's presenting in the acute medical setting with primary or co-morbid mental health problems. We offer an urgent assessment service to people attending the Emergency Departments in times of mental health crisis, and an assessment and liaison service to the medical wards across the 3 UHL sites. The service operates 24/7, days and nights. The Mental Health Liaison Service experiences a high number of referrals which can be complex and challenging. This provides an excellent opportunity to enhance your practice and develop your nursing skills.
We would require an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced RMN, OT or social worker with relevant post registration experience. You would work as part of the established team and would need to demonstrate flexibility and a commitment to high standards of patient care. We are proud of our multi-disciplinary team approach, providing holistic mental and physical healthcare.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously and as part of a wider team, review and triage of referrals whilst completing comprehensive patient centred assessments and completing risk assessments.
Sharing of information relating to patient mental health history and involvement with services and supporting any advice around specialist treatment plans.
The post requires excellent communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to work in a dynamic and busy environment. As always, we expect decision-making to be made in collaboration with our service users and carers with a view to facilitating treatment in the least restrictive environment.
The post holder will be tasked with;
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, across the mental health and acute medical trust
- Working collaborative with service users and families/carers Referring on to and liaising with other agencies
- Arrangement of admissions to mental health inpatient services (including MHA assessments) where required Be able to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
- Providing general advice and liaison to support the care of patients with mental health needs within the acute hospital setting
- Supporting the education and mental health awareness amongst other healthcare professionals
- Meet local Trust targets in relation to quick response times

We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Worker to join our team within the RECONNECT Service in the Directorate of Mental Health.
The role of the Liaison & Diversion/RECONNECT Peer Support Worker has been developed specifically for individuals who have lived experience within the Criminal Justice System as an offender. The value of lived experience is pivotal in this role in supporting this population of people as this adds value to the support offered. The Peer Support Worker uses their own unique, life-altering experience to guide and support others who are in a similar situation. Peer Support Workers provide support from the perspective of someone who has first-hand experience, something that professionals cannot learn from training or education. The post holder will have a keen interest in health and justice and a passion for supporting vulnerable individuals in contact with the Criminal Justice system under the supervision of a Liaison & Diversion/RECONNECT practitioner.
The post holder will work as part of a team and liaise closely with Criminal Justice Partners to work with individuals who have been referred. The peer support worker will support service users to access and engage with community support services for their identified needs.
Main duties of the job
To work with and develop supportive relationships with service users. To use own lived experience to guide and support others who are in a similar situation to make positive changes within their recovery journey and support engagement with support services To share own recovery story to provide hope, self belief and self awareness and inspire and instil confidence in peers. Promote and facilitate access to community groups and networks that enable service users to participate in community activities and with partner agencies. Support service users to identify and overcome fears within a relationship of empathy and trust. Work with key stakeholders involved with supporting the service user.

Job summary
Senior Healthcare Assistants support adults with learning disabilities by delivering compassionate, high quality care alongside registered practitioners. They provide delegated clinical and therapeutic interventions, undertake observations, follow care plans, policies and procedures, and work within their competencies. They uphold dignity, privacy and confidentiality, support team members, and must hold a full UK driving licence, have access to a vehicle, and obtain business insurance.
Main duties of the job
Support the Community Learning Disability Service by assisting nurses to deliver person-centred care, implementing care plans, monitoring and reporting changes in physical or mental health, and contributing to care evaluation. Work effectively within the multidisciplinary team, manage delegated workloads, maintain accurate records, follow policies and clinical guidance, escalate concerns appropriately, and ensure mandatory training compliance.

Job summary
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen within Leicestershire Health Informatics Services Patching & Provisioning Team. This role is to provide the day-to-day routine and operational support duties to the IT Support and Infrastructure department (which includes warehouse function) and is designed to support busy system engineers and system technicians. This is primarily an office based role but may require travel at a local level on a daily basis to administer goods at various LHIS storage facilities. This role will require a physical fitness to lift up to 20kg unaided and work within the Health and Safety Executives manual handling guidelines. Contact Details: Faruk Osman, [email protected]
Main duties of the job
This will include monitoring routine systems outside of the Project and Stores team, for example Server backup failures systems, Antivirus systems, Encryptions systems and to take necessary action. This post will also be responsible for administering, organising and planning the receipt, storage, stock control and distribution service for all ordered LHIS stock, including orders on behalf of clients. These deliveries may include mobile telephones, computers, printers, network equipment etc. This post also includes installing software as required on PCs/Laptops, to ensure that physical assets are maintained to an appropriate standard. This role is key for ensuring that assets are available for deployment to technicians and that assets are also accurately tracked from receipt to disposal and is to support the recycling of hardware recovered from customers to ensure that this process is monitored, equipment returns are logged and disposal is in accordance with agreed procedure.
