We are actively recruiting for Band 6 Sisters/Charge Nurses to the Emergency Department at LUHFT.
We are looking for RN's who have experience in the Emergency Department, who are passionate and innovative.

Main duties of the job
The work-load throughout the department is very varied and interesting with no two days being the same. The successful candidate must be dynamic, possess excellent communication skills, and have a high sense of professionalism and a strong belief in the value of teamwork.
Aintree is the major trauma centre for the region and are at present going through radical integration and reconfiguration of acute services. Aintree will be the Hot (acute site) of the organisation.
As a Band 6 Nurse you will be offered a comprehensive development package including a period of supernumerary, training and education. You will have access to the departmental education team and have the opportunity to develop and progress your career as you work towards the RCN and Trauma Competencies. We will develop your skills to ensure that you work to the highest of standards to triage our patients safely and stream them to various agencies.

Job description
Job responsibilities
The post holder shall follow all the policies and procedures of the organisation.
Registration
Register patient on PAS for outpatient episode commensurate with relevant referral and use Summary Care Record (SCR) to validate patient information (NHS No).
Issue new hospital number (RQ6) and prepare any new documents for new patients to the Trust in accordance with Trust Policy.
Ensure all referrals are date stamped upon receipt.
Scan referral letters into the referral workflow system in date/terminal digit order adhering to departmental processes, systems and protocols and ensuring that the correct level of clinical urgency is applied.
Forward referrals to appropriate clinician/department for authorisation via relevant workflow processes.
Respond to telephone enquiries from Referrer requesting status updates for patients.
Ensure complete compliance with Trust Elective Access Policy
Booking of appointments
Liaise with secretaries and admin departments regarding booking of appointments, referral letters etc.
Using PTLs and the PAS system, in chronological order, invite patients and book appointments as appropriate.
Process patients from TAL (Telephone appointments line) identifying available appointment slots.
Manage appointments generated by the Electronic Referral System (ERS) in line with local/national standard operating procedures. This includes slot issues, cancelling appointments, rebooking appointments and sending confirmation letters. Refer to line manager any issues which jeopardise 18 week pathways.
To process and prioritise the scheduling of outpatient appointments due to clinical urgency and length of wait and in accordance with departmental procedures, protocols and Trust Policies.
Receive and process telephone calls from relatives/carers of patients informing the Trust of the patients death and amend PAS accordingly. This may require sensitive handling.
Telephone patients to negotiate convenient outpatient appointments or receive calls from patients/relevant others (e.g. Other Hospitals) regarding booking, changing or cancelling their appointments. This involves identifying the correct appointment, clinic, session and doctor code to which the caller is referring and rescheduling or cancelling the appointment as appropriate.

The post holder will be responsible for the Credit Control function of the section and will include supervising the accounts receivable section on a daily basis and for maintaining the Accounts Receivable Debtor System.
The post holder will assist the Accounts Receivable Team Leader in ensuring that staff within the section are adequately trained to perform their duties to an agreed standard and that the Trusts' Standing Financial Instructions are followed at all times
Main duties of the job
While responsible to the Head of Accounts Receivable this post requires a high level of initiative in dealing with queries from Managers, Doctors and other staff within the Trust.
Decisions on day to day operational issues can be made, however the Head of Accounts Receivable would make decisions in respect of the more complex/strategic issues. It would be expected a member of staff in this post would to a large extent manage and prioritise their own workload, to ensure predetermined deadlines are met in a timely manner
This post requires excellent communication and working relationships within the Finance Department, the Trust and externally. In particular the post has to deal with a high volume of queries. It is expected that the post holder would communicate complex financial matters to non financial staff such as Clinicians, Clinical Managers and administrators.
The post holder will be responsible for supervising staff on the section particularly in the absence of the section manager, there is also a responsibility to train new staff in what is quite a technically demanding role.
The nature of the position requires that the post plays an important role in the financial reporting of the Trust. High levels of IT skills are essential to deal with the wide range of systems used within the department. It is expected that the post holder would be actively pursuing a recognised professional qualification, or possess the equivalent experience.

Senior Fellow LRSFixed Term - 6-12 MonthsStart date - February 2027This 6-12 month Senior Clinical Fellowship is aimed at senior orthopaedic trainees who have achieved certificate of completion of specialist training (CCST) or equivalent,who wish to advance their knowledge and understanding of adult Limb Reconstruction Surgery in a high-volume tertiary referral centre that treats a broad variety of complex acquired and congenital pathologies with a wide variety of surgical and non-surgical treatments.
Main duties of the job
The Fellow will gain clinical experience in all aspects of Limb Reconstruction Surgery, including combined orthoplastic clinics and orthoplastic operating. The role includes coordinating weekly clinical responsibilities for the team of junior doctors and managing the weekly MDT meetings. Additionally, it is expected that the Fellow will work collaboratively to advance and develop research projects within the department, in order to produce a minimum of one peer reviewed publication during the period of the Fellowship.

Job summary
We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Specialist Musculoskeletal (MSK) Podiatrist to be based at the Broadgreen Hospital site.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated Podiatrist to join our small, friendly and dynamic team committed to delivering the very best podiatric care providing a range of foot health services, encompassing all aspects of MSK podiatry.
The post holder will treat patients with complex MSK foot and ankle conditions in a variety of specialist clinics including rheumatology, footwear clinics, triage services and nail surgery. You will also provide specialist podiatry input to the inpatient setting at Broadgreen.
The team is friendly and supportive and the specialist podiatrists will provide clinical support and supervision. As a Band 6 Podiatrist you will be encouraged to develop your knowledge and skills and be involved in the clinical education of staff and students. You will work closely with the Diabetes Podiatry Team and the wider foot and ankle services including physiotherapy, orthotics and orthopaedics.
We have a comprehensive training programme and our staff are encouraged and supported in their CPD through workshops and clinical supervision. Participation in audit and research is encouraged.
The position is suitable for a podiatrist keen to develop in the field of MSK podiatry. Applicants must be HCPC registered and have a degree or equivalent in Podiatry with a Local Anaesthesia certificate.
Main duties of the job
The main focus of this role is providing podiatry musculoskeletal (MSK) assessment and treatment, MSK triage services and rheumatology clinics. You will be expected to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate podiatric care for a variety of clinical conditions. You will be required to have good understanding, clinical reasoning skills and practical skills in MSK / biomechanical assessment and orthotic prescriptions, vascular assessment, wound management and nail surgery.

Main duties of the job
The Royal Liverpool Hospital plays a key role in delivering high-quality healthcare across the city. The post holder will support the development of Occupational Therapy services in line with the trusts vision and values. The role involves providing expert assessment, treatment planning, clinical reasoning, risk management and problem-solving to maximise functional independence, reduce length of stay and support safe and timely discharge. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, compassion, sound clinical judgement, flexibility and effective leadership skills. They will provide line management, supervision, appraisal and training for Band 6 and Band 5 Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistants and students, with support from Therapy Managers. Working closely with Physiotherapy colleagues, the wider Critical Care and Respiratory therapy teams, multidisciplinary teams, patients, carers and external agencies, the post holder will contribute to service development, clinical governance, audit, research and quality improvement initiatives. The Theatre Admissions Unit takes the majority of patients being admitted for surgery and procedures. We admit them peri-operatively and post-operatively recover and discharge them if they are day case patients.

For this role you will preferably have a strong surgical background, demonstrate excellent communication skills, you must display a positive and professional manner, be open to change and have the drive and commitment to aim to get it right for every patient every time.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be responsible and accountable for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care.
Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and undertake delegated tasks from the ward sister/charge nurse.
Following successful completion of foundation gateway will be required to take charge of ward/department for a span of duty.
The postholder will always work within the NMC's Code of Professional Conduct.

Therefore an exciting opportunity has arisen for Theatre Healthcare Assistants to take on roles at Liverpool Women's Hospital.
We are looking for forward thinking and highly motivated staff, who are able to demonstrate good time management skills, you will also need to possess good communication skills (verbal, written & electronic) and have the ability to work as part of a team.
The successful applicants will give direct care to patients attending the operating department, in a safe and welcoming environment under the supervision of professionally qualified staff.
This role does require you to work days, nights, evenings, weekends & on-call.
This role will start at a Band 2 and will then progress to a Band 3 once all mandatory training and competencies have been completed.

A Catering Assistant vacancy has become available at Liverpool University Hospital. This is a part time post of 27.5 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 from 9.00am - 15.00pm. This post is based in the Tower Block Kitchen of Aintree Hospital.
The tower block is the patient kitchen. Duties include collecting patient menus on the wards, stock issues, stock control, belt service, dish washing, pan washing and kitchen cleaning. There may be requirement for working front of house in retail units, which includes using the till. Training will be given. The role does involve standing for long periods of time in a hot and humid environment.
IT skills are required for all positions as the Trust does mandatory training and yearly appraisals online. You will be required to study for your level 2 Food Hygiene certificate, Level 2 Food Allergen training and NVQ 2. Experience of industrial catering is required.
We are looking for staff who are self motivated and can work in a team or on their own unsupervised. Although the jobs are primarily based in the unit advertised, you may be required to work anywhere within the catering department depending on the needs of the service. This could include the Royal & Broadgreen hospitals. You may also be required to work bank holidays, including Christmas Day.

We have vacancy for Experienced Domestic Assistant, working as follows
Part time Monday to Friday working 4.30pm-8pm
Please note this role requires you to have some domestic experience and you must be available to work the hours detailed. You are also required to work flexibly as the role may require you to cover different areas daily.
You will be involved in the cleaning preparation and service of patient areas, including bedded areas, wards, departments, clinics, theatres or any other non occupied areas.
You will be required to undertake a wide range of cleaning and duties associated with maintaining a high standard of cleanliness ensuring that at all time a high quality service provision is offered, maintaining Trust values.
