Laurel Bank Surgery is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to provide high quality, professional HR support across our three-site GP practice. This internal role is central to ensuring our workforce is appropriately recruited, supported, developed and gainfully employed, enabling the delivery of safe, effective and well led patient care.
You will act as the first point of contact for HR matters, support managers with employee relations, oversee recruitment and compliance, and contribute to wellbeing, culture and staff engagement initiatives.
We are looking for someone who combines technical HR expertise with empathy and sensitivity. You will work closely with the Managing Partner and leadership team to ensure our HR processes are fair, compliant and aligned with NHS and CQC expectations.
This role is ideal for a confident HR generalist who will enjoy autonomy, variety and meaningful work in a patient centred environment.
Main duties of the job
The HR Advisor provides first-line support across all people matters, advising managers on employee relations, coordinating recruitment and onboarding, maintaining workforce and compliance records, preparing payroll changes and employment documentation, and managing sickness and attendance processes. The role also supports flexible working requests, organisational change, policy updates, wellbeing initiatives and staff development, while ensuring HR systems, data and communications remain accurate, confidential and aligned with legal, NHS and CQC requirements.

We are seeking two Full-Time Salaried GPs.
You will join Laurel Bank Surgery at a very exciting time as we have recently merged with the Village Surgeries Group on 1st April.
Our workforce will comprise 4 GP Partners, 1 Managing Partner, 10 Salaried GPs, 2 ANPs, 6 Nurses, 2 Clinical Pharmacists, 1 Pharmacy Technician, 5 HCAs, and whole management and administration team, including dispensers. In total, we have a team of almost 80 staff.
We are looking for salaried GPs who are excited and motivated by our ambitions to develop new models of care, as leaders in our integrated neighbourhood. We are proud of our continuity of care, and GPs manage their own list of patients.
This role will will be required to work across all 3 practice sites (Malpas, Tattenhall and Farndon).
What we are offering:

Main duties of the job
Main Purpose of the Role
To assist with an interesting clinical caseload of an established list of patients.
Deal with a wide range of health needs, maintaining our quality standards.
To work with the the Partners and Staff to continue to develop the practice in response to the ever changing face of primary care, maintaining high standards and traditional practice
To work for 8 clinical sessions - core hours are 8am to 6.30pm. You may be required to work a share of Enhanced Access from 6.30pm to 8.00pm.
Take a fair share of home visits when in Surgery (we don't have many).
To participate in the On Call rota on a shared basis.
