Job summary
We're looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking Workforce Business Partner (WBP) to join our Workforce team and help deliver meaningful change across our organisation.
Working closely with operational leaders and reporting to the Senior Workforce Manager, this is a high-impact role designed to lead on all things people-related - from proactive absence management to embedding a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
As a Workforce Business Partner, you will be aligned and embedded within Operational Groups.
The Operational Workforce Team is a small team, which links into a wider Workforce Team, and has strong links to the Communications Team. The team is progressively looking at ways to innovate and drive changes in policies and ways of working.
If you are successful at shortlisting the interview will involve a presentation/assessment element and will be with members of the Workforce team and our Operational colleagues.
Main duties of the job
You will:
- Partner with your operational leaders to deliver our People Strategy and drive workforce performance.
- Lead on reducing sickness absence through data-driven interventions and early support.
- Collaborate with Occupational Health, Wellbeing, and Union representatives to ensure fair, consistent and preventative practices.
- Provide expert advice across the full employee lifecycle - including Employee Relations, performance, organisational change and workforce development.
- Champion a culture of equity, diversity, inclusion, and psychological safety.
- Design and deliver impactful training, particularly around absence management and leadership capability.
- Utilise workforce data to provide insights that shape strategic decisions and improve staff experience.
We're looking for someone who is:
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (Level 7 desirable).
- Experienced in delivering Workforce support in a complex, fast-paced environment - including employee relations, organisational change, and workforce planning.
- Comfortable being a visible presence on-site - engaging with staff and managers directly to build relationships.
- A confident communicator with strong influencing skills - able to build trust at all levels, including senior leadership.
- Skilled in data analysis and using workforce metrics to drive improvements.
- Experienced in a unionised environment, with strong negotiation skills.

Job summary
We are recruiting a Domestic Assistant to join our team at Northgate Park Morpeth. This post will be offered at Part Time, 15 hours per week. Working 8am to 4pm every Saturday and Sunday.
Our team of Domestics keep our buildings clean and tidy and provide a great service to patients, visitors and staff. You could be cleaning a hospital ward, patient bedroom or office areas and corridors.
Because we provide services to the NHS your work supports better patient care. It's important work and you will need to take pride in what you do and complete tasks to a high standard.If you are in a community building you will be working alongside patients who have mental health illness, learning disabilities or brain injuries. You could be cleaning their rooms and the shared areas on the ward and you will get to know them and the clinical staff and you'll feel part of the team. It can be a real challenge working on wards like these but we also know that our staff find it rewarding.
Main duties of the job
- Carrying out a range of cleaning tasks in areas such as offices, public areas such as corridors, areas which patients use such as shared spaces on wards as well as bedrooms and bathrooms
- Cleaning tasks can include things like dusting of walls, ceilings and curtain rails, dusting and polishing of furniture and paintwork, hoovering of carpets, mopping floors
- Being able to follow instructions and follow a routine work schedule which sets out your tasks and carry out those duties often without supervision
- Being aware of the patients that you will be working alongside and work in a way that is respectful, caring and compassionate
- You will use equipment and cleaning products safely, adhering to all control of substances harmful to health (COSHH) rules and regulations
- Understanding infection prevention and control rules and adhering to them
- Completing any paperwork such as quality checks and any other documentation required
- Help with any cleaning audits or other surveys and inspections that take place
- Taking part in any training that you need to do and keep up to date with all company communications

We are recruiting Domestic Assistants to join our team at Carleton Clinic, Cumbria. These posts will be offered at Part Time, 30 hours per week on a rolling rota to cover a 7-day service.
Our team of Domestics keep our wards and buildings clean and tidy and provide a great service to patients, visitors, and staff. You could be cleaning a hospital ward, patient bedroom or office areas and corridors.
Because we provide services to the NHS your work supports better patient care. It's important work and you will need to take pride in what you do and complete tasks to a high standard.If you are in a community building you will be working alongside patients who have mental health illness, learning disabilities or brain injuries. You could be cleaning their rooms and the shared areas on the ward, and you will get to know them and the clinical staff, and you'll feel part of the team. It can be a real challenge working on wards like these, but we also know that our staff find it rewarding.
Main duties of the job
- Carrying out a range of cleaning tasks in areas such as offices, public areas such as corridors, areas which patients use such as shared spaces on wards as well as bedrooms and bathrooms
- Cleaning tasks can include things like dusting of walls, ceilings and curtain rails, dusting and polishing of furniture and paintwork, hoovering of carpets, mopping floors
- Being able to follow instructions and follow a routine work schedule which sets out your tasks and carry out those duties often without supervision
- Being aware of the patients that you will be working alongside and work in a way that is respectful, caring and compassionate
- You will use equipment and cleaning products safely, adhering to all control of substances harmful to health (COSHH) rules and regulations
- Understanding infection prevention and control rules and adhering to them
- Completing any paperwork such as quality checks and any other documentation required
- Help with any cleaning audits or other surveys and inspections that take place
- Taking part in any training that you need to do and keep up to date with all company communications

Main duties of the job
To undertake the repair, maintenance and inspection of all external grounds and gardens associated with the Trust and its external contracts. This would include grounds and gardens planting materials and equipment in accordance with relevant legislative standards and operational procedures to ensure the external grounds of the site(s) provide a safe environment for patients, public and staff.
Be expected to produce work to a consistently high standard of work across the whole range of duties and applications required.
Shall be prepared to undertake additional training in order to fulfil the requirements of the post, satisfy new regulations/legislation or to further to develop the duties.
To participate in the out of hours and weekend on call rota, carrying out repairs gritting and snow clearing at designated owned or occupied Trust properties. To be flexible in the provision of cover when colleagues on the rota are unavailable (holidays/sickness). To participate in the Estates Department return to work system, this may necessitate returning to work to attend to emergency situations, which can't be dealt with solely by the on-call craftsman. This will require the post holder to have there contact telephone number made available to the Estates on-call Officer.
