Job summary
The Inventory Assistant role is responsible for supporting the efficient management of inventory, including medicines, consumables, medical equipments and any other goods stocked within organisation. The role involves receiving, checking, storing, and distributing stock to multiple clinics while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, accuracy, and proper storage conditions.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in purchasing within the healthcare industry (desirable) or working with stock control and consumables environment. They will have to be a self-sufficient individual able to work using own initiative and with good attention to detail. The person will have excellent communication, organisational skills and good excel skills.
The focus of this role is to assist with the management of the organisations stock and support procurement services and will be line managed by Procurement Manager.

Main duties of the job
Maintain accurate inventory records for medicines, consumables, and medical equipments or any other goods part of business services.
Ensure stock rotation, assist stock and cycle counts, audits.
Monitor stock levels and raising requestions to reorder.
Shelf Stacking of stock received and replenishment of stock to clinics including packing.
Supporting Manager in the daily operation of central store.
Reporting damages or near expiring stock information.
Compiling reports addressing inventory discrepancies.
Receive incoming deliveries of goods pertaining to business.
Verify quantities, batch numbers, expiry dates and documentation against purchase orders.
Report damaged, expired or non-compliant items to line manager.
Ensure proper documentation of received stock.
Store medicines, consumables and equipments according to manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
Ensure segregation of quarantined, expired or recalled stock when information communicated through line manager or quality control dept.

We are looking for registered nurse/midwives, qualified in 1st and 2nd trimester ultrasound scanning, across the Midlands area (working 19 hours per week 9.5 hours per day 8am - 6pm 2 days per week with a requirement to work some weekends on a rotational basis,12-24 month fixed term potential to extend) who can deliver safe and effective care of patients wanting to access: consultation for unplanned pregnancy, surgical and medical abortions, contraception and sexual health services.

Role Expectations:
NUPAS provide abortion care from Telephone consultations, through to after care support. Following appropriate training the postholder may be required to provide care in remotes services, EMA/Surgical units and after care.

Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team within our busy contact centre. Your place of work will be either our Birmingham or Manchester office. You will be the first point of contact for all NUPAS patients. You will deliver a caring, non-judgemental and professional service ensuring that any patient wishing to obtain information or book an appointment is triaged efficiently and compassionately.
You will provide an informative, patient centred service in accordance with NUPAS policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and the Abortion Act 1967.

Main duties of the job
Deliver an efficient and effective appointment booking service relating to termination of pregnancy, contraception and aftercare for NUPAS patients.
Determine and arrange a suitable appointment to meet the patients needs. Providing information according to NUPAS guidelines as appropriate and within the remit of a Patient Care and Booking Advisor.
Ensure that the earliest and most suitable appointment that can be provided to the patient is offered.
You must be empathetic, and treat all patients and colleagues with dignity and respect.
Explain the appointment process clearly and concisely (i.e. appointments available via a variety of methods face to face / telephone / video call).
Where NUPAS cannot assist the patient, signpost patient to appropriate services in line with NUPAS guidelines.
Ensure the patient is made aware of any special requirements regarding their appointment.
Communicate with NUPAS clinics to ensure they are made aware of any special requirements pertaining to the patient.
Identify and escalate any risk or safeguarding concerns to senior colleagues promptly and actively seek to reduce or eliminate those concerns identified in a positive manner.
Embrace safeguarding mechanisms and support staff, patients and supporters at times when safeguarding principles need to be applied.
Ensure you maintain compliant with statutory and mandatory training requirements and any other training relevant to your position.
