Job summary
We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and proactive Technical Instructor to join our dynamic Inpatient Therapy Team. This role is central to enhancing the therapeutic environment on our acute mental health wards by delivering meaningful, recovery-focused activities that promote engagement, wellbeing, and connection.
You'll work closely with occupational therapists, Art therapists, health and fitness instructor, activity coordinators and technical instructors as well as the wider multidisciplinary team to co-create and facilitate group and individual sessions tailored to the needs of our service users. Activities may include art, music, movement, games, sensory sessions, life skills, and community-focused projects -- all grounded in trauma-informed and inclusive practice.
We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds -- including community work, care, education, creative arts, youth services, and lived experience. You don't need prior mental health experience, but you do need:

Main duties of the job
The main duties of the job include (as guided by the ward OT / supervisor / Therapy lead).
- Facilitate a variety of group activities i.e. cooking and creative activities. This can also consist of functional sessions.
- Facilitate one to one intervention.
- Contribute to client care by liaising with the MDT.
- Facilitate functional assessments as guided by the ward OT.
- Accompany the ward OT on home visits / community access.
- Have regular supervision & annual appraisal.

Job summary
The Islington Integrated Locality Therapies Team (IILTT) is a friendly and dynamic multidisciplinary community rehabilitation service supporting adults with neurological conditions and complex physical disabilities across Islington.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our team and work alongside the Lead Clinical Neuropsychologist. This varied role offers opportunities to undertake specialist psychological and neuropsychological assessment, formulation and intervention, supporting individuals experiencing the emotional, cognitive, and behavioural impact of neurological conditions.
You will also contribute to neuropsychological assessments for patients referred by Consultant Neurologists under the care of the Whittington Hospital's Outpatient Neurology Department, gaining experience across a wide range of neurological presentations.
This is an excellent opportunity for psychologists wishing to develop specialist neuropsychology skills. The post provides regular specialist supervision and experience that supports progression towards the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN). We have a strong track record of supporting psychologists to successfully achieve this qualification.
You will join a supportive multidisciplinary team and a wider network of psychologists working in neuropsychology and community physical health services.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide specialist psychological and neuropsychological assessment, formulation and intervention for adults with neurological conditions and complex physical disabilities within the Islington Integrated Locality Therapies (IILT) Stroke and Neurorehabilitation Team. Working as part of a multidisciplinary community rehabilitation service, they will provide consultation and specialist advice to health and social care professionals, support the assessment and management of complex cognitive, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and contribute to rehabilitation and discharge planning.
The role also includes delivering specialist neuropsychological assessments for patients referred by Consultant Neurologists within the Whittington Hospital Outpatient Neurology Department, providing experience across a broad range of neurological presentations and diagnostic questions.
The post holder will supervise trainee and assistant psychologists, contribute to teaching and training activities, and provide consultation and support to multidisciplinary colleagues. They will also contribute to service development, audit, research and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring services remain evidence-based and responsive to patient needs. The post holder will maintain high professional standards through ongoing CPD, clinical governance activities, and adherence to HCPC, BPS and Trust policies and procedures.

We are seeking four enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Community Mental Health Practitioners to join our newly established Intensive Outreach Service (IOT) supporting adults with complex mental health This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new service delivering intensive, recovery-focused interventions to individuals who require enhanced support in the community.
The post holder will work as a Care Coordinator within a multidisciplinary team, managing a defined caseload and providing comprehensive assessment, care coordination, risk management and evidence-based interventions. Using a recovery-oriented and trauma-informed approach, you will ensure interventions address the psychological, physical, social, cultural and spiritual needs of service users.
Main duties of the job
Act as Care Coordinator for a defined caseload of adults with complex mental health needs, providing assessment, care planning, care coordination and evaluation of person-centred interventions. Undertake comprehensive biopsychosocial, risk, mental capacity and safeguarding assessments, developing formulations that inform recovery-focused care. Develop, implement and review care plans, crisis plans, Dialog+ interventions and risk management plans in collaboration with service users, carers and partner agencies. Provide intensive outreach support in a range of community settings to promote engagement, recovery, independence and relapse prevention, reducing the need for hospital admission where appropriate. Deliver evidence-based interventions that address the physical, psychological, social, cultural and spiritual needs of service users. Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, primary care services and voluntary sector partners to ensure coordinated and effective care. Monitor mental and physical health needs, support medication management, evaluate outcomes and facilitate safe discharge planning and community reintegration. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner to join the Barnet CAMHS SCAN Team at North London NHS Foundation Trust (NLFT).
The SCAN Team provides specialist assessment and intervention for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Learning Disabilities and behaviours that challenge.

Main duties of the job

Deliver evidence-based interventions, therapeutic support and psychoeducation relating to neurodevelopmental conditions, emotional regulation, sensory needs and behavioural management. Monitor outcomes, review interventions, undertake risk assessments and contribute to safeguarding and multi-agency risk management processes.
Work collaboratively with families and carers, providing behavioural support, coaching and practical strategies to improve wellbeing, reduce family stress and strengthen relationships.
Provide specialist PBS consultation to schools, CAMHS clinicians, social care and partner agencies. Participate in multidisciplinary, safeguarding and EHCP meetings to support coordinated care and positive outcomes.
Develop and deliver training, workshops and group programmes for families, staff and partner organisations, promoting PBS principles and least restrictive practice.

We are looking to recruit Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse with a passion for working with people with mental health condition.
This is a well established, high performing team delivering compassionate care in the community to adults who suffer from mental health problem. You will be working in a team that is diverse in background, highly motivated, friendly, agile, flexible and responsive.

Main duties of the job
- To work as a Care-coordinator within the team in the planning, delivery, co-ordination and evaluation of assessments and formulation
- To work closely and collaboratively with other members of the team including Psychologists Medical professionals and other Allied Professionals to provide optimal
- To carry out complex person-centred assessments.
- To ensure that all care offered is evidence based and all interventions take into account specific physical, cultural, psychological and spiritual needs of service users.
- To assess care needs, devise care programmes, packages of care including Risk assessment, Dialog+ and implement and evaluate these in collaboration with individual service users and their carers.
- To support and mentor less experienced staff, support workers and students from related professional backgrounds who are on placement within the team.
- To undertake duties designed to extend clinical and managerial expertise as delegated by the Team Manager when required.
- To undertake comprehensive outcome monitoring of all referrals.

Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic full time Band 6 Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the Male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Therapy Team based at Highgate West Mental Health Centre.
The post holder will be required to deliver a comprehensive Occupational Therapy Service for service users primarily on one designated ward. They will also work closely with Clinical Lead OT, OT Assistant, Activity workers and Art Psychotherapist to provide specialist Occupational Therapy Service to both male and female service users on the 2 PICU wards at Highgate and additionally contribute as required to the Central Therapy Group Programme.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the multidisciplinary team the post-holder will be required to meet the identified occupational and functional needs of service users on their caseload. This includes providing a variety of person-centred assessments and interventions, promoting a recovery approach and social inclusion, to maximise activity of daily living skills and lifestyle management.
The post-holder will ensure that their practice meets the requirements of this clinical group and assess the needs of service users with complex mental and physical health needs. This includes falls risk minimisation work and the issuing and provision of equipment, aids and minor adaptations.
The post holder will have supervisory responsibility for junior staff and student practitioners working in the unit. They work will receive supervision and mentoring from the PICU OT Clinical Lead.
Although staff are allocated initially to work in one specific ward, all appointments are made to the Therapy Department

Job summary
This post is for 0.6 WTE Consultant Psychiatrist working in Intensive Outreach pathways within the Core Community Mental Health of the Northern Boroughs of the trust (Barnet) as work progresses with the transformation of community mental health services in line with the NHS Long Term plan. The post is substantive, and these are new posts created from the new investment from the ICB to develop this pathway.
The Consultant Psychiatrist works closely with GPs, the Core Team MDT, and a number of intersecting systems, such as housing, social services and the Trust Intensive Teams. The focus is on relationship-building, encouraging reflective practice and collaborative working.
Main duties of the job
General Expectations of a Consultant Psychiatrist employed with North London NHS Foundation Trust include
o To work within the MDT promoting respect for all professional groups and focusing upon coherent and integrated teamwork.
o To be Section 12(2) approved and have approved clinician status and participate in the Trust-wide Section 12 daytime rota.
o To provide second opinions for consultant colleagues if requested.
o To keep up with administration and note-keeping on the electronic patient record system in a timely manner, including letters to GPs, Dialog+ and risk assessments.
o To assist with Serious Incident investigations and complaints if requested.
o To keep up to date with mandatory training.
o To attend and participate in Consultants' and Management meetings to keep informed of service issues and developments.

Job Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Narrative Exposure Therapy in Early Intervention in Psychosis (NETp): A feasibility Randomised Control Trial (RCT) study. https://fundingawards.nihr.ac.uk/award/NIHR206724
This study is led by Dr Miriam Fornells-Ambrojo, Associate Professor at the Department of Clinical, Health and Educational Psychology at University College London (UCL) and Professor Sonia Johnson, Consultant Psychiatrist at the Islington Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service and also based in Division of Psychiatry (UCL).
The post holder will be based within the Camden and Islington EIP teams and will work with the NETp study team including lead principal investigators, patient and public involvement lead several other senior clinical psychologists. The trial started in November 2024 and will terminate at the end of May 2027. Fifty-one participants with a history of multiple trauma and re-experiencing symptoms (PTSD trauma intrusions and/or anomalous experiences or distressing beliefs thematically linked to trauma) have been recruited and randomly allocated to receive NET(+ TAU) or TAU alone. Results of this feasibility trial will be used to inform a more substantive trail of NETp in first episode psychosis teams.
Main duties of the job
This is a fixed term, part-time research post to support and enhance the delivery of a randomised controlled trial at one of the sites in an exciting NIHR funded multi-centre project.
The role will involve completing follow-up assessments, including structured research interviews with participants already enrolled in the study, and helping them to complete patient-reported outcome measures. The post holder will be responsible for the secure storage and management of all data collected. There may be opportunities to be involved in qualitative data collection and analysis.
The post holder will be employed and managed by North London NHS Foundation Trust, and work within the Camden and Islington EIP teams. They will also be required to work at the other sites for the study,Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT), where they will occasionally support their counterparts with follow up assessments. Travel for this part of the role will be covered by NLFT
The post holder will work under the supervision of Camden and Islington EIP team managers, the trial co-principal investigators Dr Miriam Fornells-Ambrojo and Prof. Sonia Johnson, as well as other senior clinical psychologists.

- due to the funding available for this post, we are only able to offer Band 5 Entry step point salary to candidates
- this is a fixed term post, with funding in place until 31st May 2027. The successful candidate would need to be available to start by 1st Nov 2026.

Job summary
The post holder will lead shifts from a trauma informed perspective, guiding the team within the managing risk framework at the service.

Post Holder to respond within the hour to crisis referrals from acute hospital teams, community CAMHS teams and other stakeholders who refer into the Service.
To conduct biopsychosocial risk assessment and clinical formulation of the crisis to be able to make a care plan to reduce crisis.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to work on a shift pattern, to assess patients across the urgent care pathway, working autonomously and flexibly to manage the day-to-day assessments and/or advising on management of CYP under the age of 18 years and their families presenting to A&E Diversion Hubs based at Chase Farm, A&E and ward admissions to Barnet hospital or North Middlesex University Hospital with self-harm and acute mental health difficulties.

Job summary
We are seeking committed and diligent staff to work as Network Navigators in our Acute Mental Health Wards in Chase Farm Hospital and Dennis Scott Unit (Edgeware Community Hospital) as part of the wider Discharge Hub team. We will discuss preferred location with successful candidates but cannot guarantee choice of placement. The roles are full time and in person with face to face working as a minimum expectation. These roles to work alongside our Patient Flow service and will be part of a wider system of supporting and managing our patient access and flow within the North London NHS Foundation Trust.
Directly reporting to the Discharge Coordinator - you will be assigned to an acute ward and will spend each day operating within the ward, ensuring our 72 hour formulation meetings are in place. Key to this is Linking in with the patient networks and ensuring all actions are completed in order to facilitate the safe discharge of the in-patient population working alongside the ward multi-disciplinary teams. Part of the role also includes patient escorts to discharge related appointments or assessments. Candidate will need to have good IT skills and need to be able to confidently use Electronic Patient Record (EPR), spreadsheets, email and Teams communication and prepare referrals to various internal and external services.
Main duties of the job
Network Navigators will be responsible at ward level for ensuring that each patient's network of care is involved early in admission to inform care planning and timely discharge. They will organise this system around the patient to join key meetings during the admission.
The quality of interaction with patients and those involved in their care will be characterised by an approach that is therapeutic, strengths based, and recovery orientated. The network will include as wide a range of relevant individuals and services as required to support the patient's recovery. This will include carers, community mental health and substance misuse teams, voluntary sector organisations, criminal justice system staff and housing providers where relevant.
The post holders will work closely with Discharge Coordinators and their designated ward(s) to identify individual patient's strengths and barriers to discharge at the earliest opportunity following admission. They will work with the clinical teams involved to ensure timely resolution of barriers to ensure patients are discharged when they are clinically ready. Facilitating the contribution of carers is a key activity.

Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate safeguarding assurance tools in line with current legislation, CQC Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs), and NHS England standards in Enfield working closely across the 5 Care groups.
Design and maintain audit frameworks to monitor compliance with relevant Pan London safeguarding guidance, policies and procedures, and locally agreed protocols.
