Job summary
A full-time fixed-term opportunity, with the potential to progress to a substantive post is available for a Consultant Haematologist with expertise in Haemostasis, Thrombosis, and TTP at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. This 12-month post offers the opportunity to join the non-malignant haematology team, working alongside 6 Consultants and 1 Haematology Specialist Doctor to deliver a comprehensive non-malignant haematology service. A concurrent recruitment process is also underway for a 7th Consultant appointment, reflecting the continued expansion of the team
Main duties of the job
Candidates should have a specialist interest in Haemostasis and Thrombosis and TTP and will be expected to provide a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient service within non-malignant and general haematology. Significant experience in these areas is essential. The post holder will be expected to progress to undertake the clinical lead role for the DVT and anticoagulation service and chair of the Trust Thrombosis Committee. The successful candidate will also contribute to the haemostasis and thrombosis laboratory diagnostic services.
About us
Queen's Medical Centre Campus hosts the specialist Nottingham Haemostasis and Thrombosis services which includes the Comprehensive Care Centre for Haemophilia. There is a busy liaison service for haemostasis and thrombosis across both trusts and the H&T clinical teams supervise the nurse led anticoagulation and DVT follow up services. The team is supported by the Nottingham Haemostasis and Thrombosis Reference Laboratory which is based on site.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic registered Children's Nurse to work within the Nottingham Children's Hospital Diabetes Team as a Band 6 Diabetes Specialist Nurse.
The Nottingham Children's Hospital looks after around 450 children and young people with diabetes. Approximately 70% of our patients are on insulin pumps, CGM and a variety of Hybrid Closed Loop Systems. We are nationally recognised and continue to achieve some of the best diabetes outcomes in the country.
Excellent team working, effective communication, being highly organised and motivated, in addition to previous experience in caring for children and young people with diabetes is desirable. The post holder will have post registration experience working with children in hospital, outpatients and/or community settings.
The new post holder will be trained and supported in learning about complex technology used in CYP with Type 1 Diabetes to enable them to hold a caseload of patients and manage their care in a variety of settings, give emergency advice and contribute to training other healthcare and educational professionals.

Job summary
The post holder is responsible for managing a highly specialised caseload of deaf children, by supporting during assessment and also following cochlear implantation. They will also have regular adult clinics, for both assessment and post operative rehabilitation. We are looking for an experienced clinician to join our team, on a full time basis, although we would consider part time hours. The post holder will work for a multi-disciplinary team based in an outpatient site of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, joining a team of highly specialist Speech and Language Therapists at the Nottingham Auditory Implant Programme. The post holder will work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals from Health, Education and Social Services, with advisory visits to home, nurseries and schools as required. They will contribute to research and audit projects and to the team's teaching and training commitments. The post holder typically carries out clinical work for 80% of the time, both face-to-face and via video consultations, and is expected to update their own professional knowledge.
There will be opportunities to collaborate with Nottingham Audiology Services and Nottingham Biomedical Research Unit in Hearing which are based on the same site.

To provide a flexible and highly specialist service for deaf/deafened children before and after cochlear implantation within the Nottingham Auditory Implant Programme, a large multi-disciplinary team within the Surgical division at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust This role requires a high level of clinical and professional expertise in order that those with listening, language and communication needs and their families benefit from well-coordinated pro-active, specialist, efficient and time-effective assessment, training and rehabilitation support within a multi-disciplinary team, which includes audiologists, surgeons, clinical psychologists, clinical assistants and ward staff.

You will be accountable to the Ultrasound Modality Manager and the Diagnostic Pathway Assistant General Managerfor Ultrasound, and as part of this role, you will work with a team of Sonographers', Radiologists and other specialties within NUH to ensure a high quality Ultrasound service to our customers.

Job summary
This role is for a band 7 Sonographer rotating between the City campus, Treatment Centre ,QMC campus and the Community Diagnostic Centre due to open in 2027. A great opportunity to work alongside a highly experienced team and develop new skills in a busy department.
NUH provides both Obstetric and non-Obstetric services across the 4 current sites which includes GP (AQP), outpatients, DVT /vascular, and inpatient scanning, and a gynaecological scanning service for the Nottingham Treatment Centre.
There are 3 Ultrasound Clinical Specialists who will support and guide you during your induction period and beyond.
The Ultrasound Department is open between 8am-6pm Monday-Friday with potential additional lists at the weekend.
You will be accountable to the Ultrasound Modality Manager and the Diagnostic Pathway Assistant General Managerfor Ultrasound, and as part of this role, you will work with a team of Sonographers', Radiologists and other specialties within NUH to ensure a high quality Ultrasound service to our customers.
The Ultrasound team are well established, dedicated and professional. They are a diverse group of people with a broad range of skills and experience.

Job summary
We have a full-time (37.5 hours/week) role available for enthusiastic Ophthalmic Science Practitioners to join our expanding Ophthalmic Imaging team within the Department of Ophthalmology at Queen's Medical Centre campus.
If you are an enthusiastic, highly motivated clinician, with good communication skills and the ability to be adaptable to the changing needs of the department, this role is an opportunity to work in a large teaching hospital with a varied caseload which will include participation in a range of service provision.
The successful candidate will need to hold a BSc in Photography; BSc Ophthalmic Imaging or have equivalent clinical experience to enable delivery of the requirements of the role.
The post holder will be required to work various shifts to support the needs of the service. This includes working weekdays, weekends, bank holiday days and varying hours with the earliest start time at 7.00am and the latest finish at 8.00pm. The initial working pattern is anticipated at one evening clinic per week and one Saturday per month.

Main duties of the job
The role falls within the multidisciplinary team in the Ophthalmology Department comprising of Ophthalmologists Optometrists , Orthoptists, Ophthalmic Technicians, Ophthalmic Science Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners and Health Care Assistants.
Ophthalmology provides services to eye casualty , day case, inpatient and outpatient facilities. We have a large team of Consultant Ophthalmologists, who provide outpatient and surgical services in a full range of Ophthalmology sub-speciality clinics including AMD, corneal glaucoma, medical retina, vitreo-retinal, neuro-ophthalmology, ocular plastics and paediatrics.
The postholder will participate in the delivery of Ophthalmic Imaging services including a wide range of core clinical services including OCT, slit lamp photography, FFA, and provision of services to the expanding virtual clinic service with Ophthalmology

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Housekeeper within the Cardiac Surgery speciality. The candidate would be expected to work in the clinical area of Morris Ward.
Morris Ward is a 20 bedded ward caring for patients pre and post Cardiac Surgery.
The area works closely as a team and with other departments within the hospital.
Main duties of the job
The role will include, but is not limited to;
Working closely with procurement to order and maintain stock levels.
Managing the store rooms, staff and patient areas/facilities and ensuring a clean and tidy environment is maintained.
Ward logistics e.g., helping move beds and clearing/cleaning bed spaces.
Equipment/environment maintenance - liaising with estates/MESU ensuring all medical and non-medical devices and the ward environment are in a good state of repair and yearly PAT testing is undertaken.
Answering telephone calls and signposting if/when appropriate.
General receptionist and clerical duties if/when required.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our dynamic Cardiac Surgery team at Nottingham University NHS Trust. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse / ODP with strong clinical skills to join the Thoracic Theatre Team, based at Nottingham University Hospitals City Campus. You will also have the responsibility to act as a Deputy Team Leader within the Thoracic Theatre Team. You will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding and experience of robotic surgery.
As a suitable candidate, you will hold or will be working towards the SFA qualification or be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to undertake the relevant course.

Job summary
We are looking for a new Trust Grade doctor to join us at NUH within our Stroke team, at CT3+ level . The post is available for 12 months initially with the possibility to extend if mutually agreed.
This role is for you if you have full MRCP plus experience in specialities including Geriatric Medicine, Neurology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics or General (Internal) Medicine and to those who intend to make a career in Stroke Medicine.
There will be opportunities to undertake audits, to be involved in governance activities and to take part in service improvement projects to enhance your CV. There is also the opportunity to get involved in seeing patients in the TIA clinics and receiving potential Stroke patients in EDThe post will be working across all stroke areas particularly on the hyper-acute stroke admissions ward, providing support and advice to junior doctors, as well as the ED team.
NUH stroke services also provides 5 days a week 0800-1700 hrs Mechanical Thrombectomy service for the East Midlands .

This fellowship provides an excellent opportunity for trainees aspiring to pursue a subspecialty career in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. The successful candidate will join a cohesive and forward-looking gastroenterology and hepatology department with a strong national profile in both clinical practice and academic research. We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual who has either completed their gastroenterology training or is in the final years of specialist training, ensuring they can gain the maximum benefit from this advanced fellowship.
The Fellow will work under the clinical supervision of eight Consultant IBD Gastroenterologists and engage in IBD research under the guidance of Professor Gordon Moran. The post includes 4-5 clinical sessions per week in IBD outpatients and endoscopy. The remaining time will be dedicated to service development projects, including digital health pathways and the advancement of a small bowel ultrasound service. Candidates with an interest in research will have the opportunity to contribute to Nottingham's broad IBD research programme, with the potential to extend the fellowship beyond one year to pursue a PhD at UoN.
The post is designed to provide additional experience and support the candidate's learning and professional development, with the aim of preparing them to progress towards and secure a consultant post.
Main duties of the job
Clinical Component
- Gain advanced clinical and endoscopic experience in IBD within a centre managing over 4,500 patients.
- Participate in outpatient clinics (new and follow-up IBD cases), IBD paediatric transition clinics, multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, and weekly acute IBD clinics.
- Attend gastroenterology journal clubs and research meetings.
- Undertake endoscopy sessions (upper and lower diagnostic and therapeutic procedures), with a focus on disease assessment, surveillance, and IBD-related therapeutic interventions.
- Optional opportunities to manage acute inpatient IBD cases and support nurse-led ward reviews.
- Involvement in the acute gastroenterology service is available but not mandatory.
Academic Component
- Contribute to IBD research, primarily hosted by the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre.

We are looking for a registered pharmacy technician with a recognised checking accuracy qualification to join the friendly and dynamic Nottingham Children's Hospital Pharmacy Team.
You will work with our clinical pharmacists and the other members of the multidisciplinary team to optimise the use of medicines within Nottingham Children's Hospital. You will make a real difference to patient safety, patient experience and satisfaction and operational flow through the Trust.

No previous paediatric experience is necessary- just a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
As part of this role, you will be required to work mainly at the Queen's Medical Centre campus.
Main duties of the job
To improve and support the quality of patient care on admission and at discharge within Nottingham Children's Hospital, through the provision of a professional and effective medicines management service.
This will include the assessment, and where suitable, re-use of patient's own medications, accurate and meticulous drug histories, thorough patient counselling, timely preparation of discharge prescriptions, one-stop dispensing and authorised self-checking, as well as supporting the ward teams with storage and security issues.
The role involves supporting the dispensary when required and performing weekend duties. The shifted and bank holiday duties are as follows:
To participate in departmental weekends, bank holidays and late duty working as required. At the time of advertising, the weekend rota encompasses 2 half-day shifts every 4/5 weeks at the City campus or 1 full day shift every 4 weeks at the QMC campus.

We are delighted to invite applicants to join our Emergency and Acute Care (EAC) directorate and become part of the acute medicine and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) pharmacy team and a newly established General Internal Medicine (GIM) service.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 1.0 WTE Dietitian to join the Paediatric team at Nottingham Children's Hospital (NCH). This is a rotational post across paediatric and neonatal services, offering a valuable opportunity to develop a broad range of clinical skills within specialist areas.
This role is ideal for a motivated Dietitian looking to expand their clinical experience and contribute to delivering high-quality, patient-centred nutritional care. The post holder will work across both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting children and young people with a range of clinical needs.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in improving patient outcomes through evidence-based dietetic interventions.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
Provide specialist dietetic support alongside Consultants and Specialist Nurses, delivering therapeutic dietary advice to paediatric and neonatal patients
Undertake nutritional assessment and implement appropriate interventions, including oral nutrition support and enteral feeding
Participate in a structured rotation across paediatric and neonatal services, gaining experience in a range of clinical areas
Work collaboratively within the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) to optimise patient care and support initiatives aimed at reducing hospital admissions
Manage your own caseload effectively, as well as contributing to the organisation and support of team workload
Work closely with Dietitians, Dietetic Technicians, and Dietetic Assistants within a supportive team environment
Contribute to audit, service evaluation, and quality improvement work to demonstrate the value of dietetic input
Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards
You will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, a flexible approach to work, and a strong commitment to service development. You should be enthusiastic, motivated, and keen to develop both your own skills and those of others.

Job summary
The post holder will provide support and assistance to Healthcare Professionals within all areas of the Trust. The role will be to work under the direction of the Logistics Transport Team Leader and are primarily concerned with the movement of goods and services in the most efficient and effective way, using the correct lifting and handling equipment.
The post holder will be responsible for providing a high quality service from designated destinations as directed, maintaining high standards of service delivery and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff and visitors at all times. They will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles meet the daily demands of this service.
To adopt a caring and friendly manner at all times.
Hours of work are 37.5 per week working between the hours of 6am and 9pm on a rota basis which will include weekends and bank holidays.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring all that all vehicles are kept (defected) checked before you commence with driving -any defects are to be reported to your team leader on shift.
Responsible for providing a high quality transportation service from designated destinations as directed, maintaining high standards of service delivery and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff and visitors at all times. They will be responsible for ensuring the vehicles meet the daily demands of this service.
A basic knowledge of Health & Safety is required in order to correctly complete incident forms and report any untoward incidents to Team Leaders.
Make sure that the trust grounds are clear of any scrap or any unwanted items (furniture).
Roll cages to be collected daily.

Job responsibilities
Collect soiled linen from all wards and departments and deliver to the designated storage areas for later collection by Transport.
Collect clean linen from the designated storage areas and deliver to all wards and departments including the emergency adhoc linen requests. Put all items in the linen cupboards in a neat and tidy manner.
Undertake specific site cleaning both internally and externally as directed by the Team Leaders, wearing appropriate protective equipment where necessary.
Assist with the delivery of medical gases to the Trust and provide a delivery service following requests from wards and departments.
Distribute pharmaceuticals including the safe transportation and delivery to wards and departments of controlled drugs.

Job summary
NB: Please be aware that the department is undergoing an Organizational Change process commencing in June 2026. Whilst this will not affect the number of positions or the role, it may impact working pattern and rota.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Estates and Facilities team as a Switchboard Operator.
This will be mainly based at the Queens Medical Centre however you will be required to work from the City hospital from time to time.
We are looking for someone who has a flexible approach to work and is motivated to help the public and staff with their day to day enquiries, ideally you will have previous Switchboard/call centre experience however all training will be provided.
Post holder must have proficiency in IT skills.
If you have applied for a position in the last 6 months then you need not apply.
On-call - Following a on call rota, be the on-call manager for Switchboard & Facilities Operations for sickness and system failures. To be the point of call out of hours Monday - Friday 4pm - 8am and all weekend and Bank Holiday.
On completion of training the candidate will be required to do on call duties.
