Job summary
We require proactive and hardworking staff to work as part of a team within Cleaning Services.
The role involves cleaning in Clinical and non-clinical areas providing and maintaining the highest standard of cleaning to all areas in all wards and departments, ensuring at all times the highest degree of cleanliness, safety and care.
Main duties of the job
In addition to the below summary you need to familiarise yourself with full job description and person specification documents attached to this advert.
Cleaning experience is desirable though full training will be given. Responsibilities will include deep cleaning tasks such as hard floors, fixtures and fittings including sanitary areas of toilets, bath/shower areas. Replenishment of disposable commodities, i.e., soap, gel and hand towels as required and the removal of waste from all areas to designated collection points.

Job description
Job responsibilities
Ensure a timely and accurate response to all cleaning requests.
Work in partnership with the Ward Team, Facilities Team Leader/Assistant Facilities Manager.
Assist in monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards and infection control practices in the department as appropriate.
Maintain the integrity and reputation of the department by effective communication and harmonious attitudes with patients, staff and visitors.
Ensure patient dignity and privacy is respected at all times and report where you feel this has been breached.
Safe use of cleaning equipment/assemble and dismantle cleaning equipment; order stock.
Use effective and efficient cleansing/decontamination techniques across a range of skills.
Suction clean/dry mop floors, spot clean floors and remove spillages.
High dusting, damp dusting furniture, fixtures, fittings and ledges.
Spot clean internal glass as necessary.
Cleansing of wash hand basins, sinks, showers, WCs and fittings. Replenish supplies.
Cleansing of beds, bedside lockers.
Cleanse and refill soap dispensers and paper towel holders.
Removal of waste from wards and departments to designated collection points.
Use of polishing/scrubbing machines for maintenance of hard floors.
Use of extraction machine for carpet/upholstery cleaning.
Routine curtain changes (bed/window/screen curtains).
Making up of on-call and relatives overnight stay beds.
Use of ride on cleaning equipment; sweeper, scrubber dryer and burnishing equipment.
Undertaking any other relevant duties which are delegated from time to time.
Safe handling of cleaning agents and dilution ratios. Hazardous chemicals to be kept securely in storage areas when not in use.
All cleaning equipment must be decontaminated daily and maintained in a safe usable condition - faults must be reported to a Facilities Team Leader immediately.
Attend training courses including on the job training and training in the use of specific machinery as required.
Cleansing cupboards are to be decontaminated and kept tidy at all times.
Cleansing of infected room/bays in accordance with NUH Infection Control & Prevention Policy.
Close liaison with the cleaning services and team leader and ward manager in identifying additional cleans, such as isolation rooms and bed space terminal.
To act as a buddy to new starters (after training).
To ensure that a clean protective uniform is worn at all times when on duty and to use relevant Personal Protection Equipment in accordance with the policies provided by the Trust.
Demonstrates cleaning procedures to new starters.
Completes timesheets or similar work records.
Ensure concentration while using cleaning equipment.
To undertake isolation cleansing when required following Infection Control Isolation Policy and Procedures.
To work in accordance with the Trusts Policies and Procedures including COSHH, Manual Handling, Health and Safety, Infection Control and attend annual training.

Job summary
We are seeking to appoint a full-time locum ENT consultant with special interest in rhinology and anterior skull base at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) NHS Trust. NUH is a NHS tertiary center which attracts regional referrals from Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire.
This is an exciting new full time post attracting 10 programmed activities (PA's) to support and further develop the existing advanced rhinology and anterior skull base service. There will also be an opportunity to expand awake rhinology surgery.
The post is available to start with immediate effect. Applicants should be on the Specialist Register and have completed or be undertaking an anterior skull base fellowship. Subject to negotiation, it is likely that a suitable candidate currently undertaking a Fellowship would be encouraged to complete their advanced training before taking up the position.

Applications are invited for a full-time Locum Consultant Plastic Surgeon with principal responsibilities in adult and paediatric burns and reconstructive plastic surgery at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The post holder will join the established burns team and contribute to acute burns care, burns reconstruction, outpatient and multidisciplinary care, and the emergency Plastic Surgery service across Nottingham City Hospital and Queen's Medical Centre (QMC).

Job summary
We're delighted to invite applications to join our team of Emergency and Acute Care (EAC) Specialist Clinical Pharmacists at the Queens Medical Centre. The EAC directorate consists of a large acute medicine ward, a same day emergency care (SDEC) unit, ED, level 1 care area and a newly created General Internal medicine (GIM) service.
The role is to lead and develop the pharmacy service to the new GIM ward with support from the wider EAC pharmacy team.
Our acute admissions unit is one of the largest in the country, so we've created a large clinical pharmacy team to deliver an excellent 7 day service.
The post offers an outstanding opportunity to develop your portfolio of clinical knowledge and skills for the management of patients as part of the friendly, progressive and dynamic multidisciplinary team, as well as build on your leadership abilities.
If not already obtained then the post holder may be supported through the independent prescribing course.

Main duties of the job
You will deliver a high standard of medicine optimisation ideally utilising your prescribing skills.
You will work closely with the MDT, on & off the ward.

You will be expected to be involved in quality improvement work within EAC and aim to publish your work to share your findings.

CHEATA is based in Clinical Engineering at a large acute NHS Trust and supports medical technology innovators and manufacturers to gather the evidence needed for NHS adoption. CHEATA is a unique service that sits within the NHS and provides the MedTech industry with NHS insight and perspective on how to drive NHS adoption. A key part of the evidence base for medical technologies is the case for cost effectiveness as part of an overall device Value Proposition and this is a key service offering to CHEATA's clients. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the CHEATA team as a health economist and to help us support the MedTech Industry with NHS adoption and evidence. This is a fixed term contract until March 2029.
Main duties of the job

The key aspect of the role is to provide health economic modelling for medtech innovators for both CHEATA clients and the NIHR-funded HealthTech Research Centre for Rehabilitation, including budget impact, cost utility and other cost effectiveness modelling, as well as contributing to the creation of the overall device value proposition. In addition, the role also encompasses attendance at client meetings, support for grant submissions with academic and industrial partners, leading HTA submissions that are aligned with organisations such as NICE.

Are you a dietitian with broad range of clinical experience and an interest in working within oncology? We are delighted to advertise an exciting opportunity for a Permanent 1.0 W.T.E. (37.5hours/ week) Specialist Oncology Dietitian on the City Campus at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) NHS Trust. The post will be part of a rotational programme between General oncology, Haematology and Head and Neck/Upper GI services.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will manage a caseload within the pathways of their oncology rotation, providing dietetic advice and treatment to a shared caseload of inpatient and outpatients. You will support complex nutritional interventions, as well as nutrition support and enteral feeding, so experience in these areas would be beneficial. You will be involved in MDT and dietetic led clinics as well as training and education for patients and healthcare professionals within the service. The dietetic team have become established as core members of the multi-disciplinary team, working collaboratively with consultants and specialist nurses to deliver high quality nutritional care to patients.With the support of Clinical Lead Dietitians, there is the opportunity to be involved in dietetic audit, service development and research, alongside potential opportunities to work and gain experience across all Oncology services at NUH (General Oncology, Haematology, Head & Neck, Upper GI). You will need to have excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and the ability to manage your own time and workload within a supportive team. This job will require you to work with inpatients, therefore you will be required to wear the appropriate level of PPE.

We are looking for exceptional and committed Band 5 nurses to provide outstanding care for our complex patients. Adult Critical Care comprises of three main units:
Adult Intensive Care (AICU - QMC), a 29-bedded Intensive Care Unit which facilitates the treatment of seriously ill patients with failure of one or more organ systems.
High Dependency Unit (HDU/E12 - QMC) has 20 beds and is an area which facilitates the care of patients who require high dependency nursing.
Specialties for both units include neurosurgery, neurology, gastroenterology, major trauma, hepatobiliary, vascular, spinal, ENT and maxillo-facial surgery.
Critical Care Department (CCD - City Campus) is a17 bedded purpose built unit comprised of intensive care and high dependency beds. Specialities catered for include: thoracics, burns, haematology, oncology, gastroenterology, renal, upper GI surgery, respiratory, general medical and surgical patients.
It is mandatory that you rotate to all of the critical care units and that you work both days and night shifts.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for providing care for patients who are Critically ill. The patients may have failure of one or more organs and require varying amounts of support. They may be mechanically ventilated and sedated or be on high amounts of oxygen. They may have invasive lines, needing inotropic infusions and will be closely monitored. Some patient may require additional support such as hemofiltration.
You will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating nursing care in a timely manner. You will work closely with your team.
After a settling in period you will be expected to mentor students and will be encouraged to join a link team or be involved with projects.

Successful applicants will join a busy, supportive department, providing anaesthesia for a broad range of specialties, and will participate in 2nd on anaesthetic rotas covering Anaesthesia, Enhanced Perioperative Care (EPOC), Obstetrics, and Critical Care as required
Main duties of the job
Clinical Responsibilities
The posts offer both subspecialty training and development in a range of clinical areas and opportunities for non-clinical professional development. Clinical duties will include those normally expected of an anaesthetic ST6+.
Of the available Fellowships, Thoracics/Upper GI and Neuro/Spines are based solely on the City and QMC campus respectively, with the remainder delivered flexibly across both locations. The work schedule is 48hrs per week on average, and it includes a contribution to resident on-call and out-of-hours activity at a frequency of up to 1 in 7. The available Fellowships are as follows:

An exciting opportunity for a fixed term Associate Ophthalmic Science Practitioner to join a busy ophthalmology department.
The job plan includes performing technical and imaging assessments to support the diagnosis and management of patients attending the service. Main duties of the job
With our incredibly hard working and experienced team of diabetes nurse specialists our team comprises of band 7s band 6s and some band 5s and HCA's to oversee and deliver the diabetes services to NUH. The different range of job roles within the diabetes team is vast: From patient and staff education, to supporting newly diagnosed diabetic patients, pump training, DKA management and specialist advise to inpatient areas to also supporting the diabetic foot clinic at Dundee house.
These posts will require the successful candidates to work cross site between QMC and City campus.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 1.0 FTE Band 5 Assistant Psychologist in the Neuropsychology Service at NUH due to the existing postholders career progression.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who has a strong interest in the care and wellbeing of adults with neurological conditions and injuries. The post holder will undertake clinical neuropsychology assessments and neuropsychological/psychological interventions under the supervision of the clinical neuropsychologist in the adult stroke inpatient service and the broader team.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be welcomed to the Department of Clinical Psychology & Neuropsychology within the trust. Currently there are over 60 clinical psychologists, and assistant and trainee clinical psychologists working across a number of medical and surgical inpatient and outpatient services within the Trust including: Adult and Paediatric Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Neurorehabilitation Services, Stroke, Paediatrics, Burns, Cystic Fibrosis, Oncology, Cleft Lip and Palate, Major Trauma, Intensive Care, Renal and Haematology. We have excellent links with the University of Nottingham and regional Clinical Psychology Doctorate Courses.

Job summary
We are looking to appoint five enthusiastic and forward-thinking Consultants into new roles which combine General Internal Medicine service with a Group 1 medical specialty. We are looking for candidates with a passion for delivering high quality care to patients in a variety of settings, who are enthusiastic about GIM and who want an opportunity to shape and deliver a new service which will enhance the care we provide for our patients. We are looking for clinicians who can help to shape and develop our brand new GIM service as well as delivering high quality care and education to our trainee doctors. These roles provide exposure to a broad and varied case mix, supporting the development of advanced clinical skills and providing excellent opportunities for leadership, service improvement, multidisciplinary working, clinical education, and involvement in research.
Candidates should be dual qualified in General Internal Medicine (GIM) and a Group 1 specialty (gastroenterology, neurology, respiratory medicine, cardiology, stroke medicine, infectious diseases, acute medicine, renal medicine, palliative care, diabetes and endocrinology, rheumatology, geriatrics).
Main duties of the job
These are 10 PA posts, split between one of the above specialist services (4 PA DCC) and GIM (4 PA DCC). Two SPA are offered to include 1.5 core SPA plus an additional 0.5 for educational and clinical supervision of trainee doctors and ACPs within GIM. The GIM commitment will include 10 weeks per year on a 30 bedded GIM ward, acute and GIM clinics, supervision of the Virtual ward and support for the medical take. Clinic sessions within GIM come with supported admin time between 0.25 PA.
Specialist work in the Group 1 specialty will vary depending on the needs of the service and the interests of the successful candidate but will include the opportunity to develop subspecialty training in one of the biggest teaching hospitals in the country.

SpR's take part in the integrated GIM on call rota for when they are responsible to the duty general medical consultant.

Job summary
This is a new post and has been configured to support the increasing demand for complex cardiac electrophysiology / ablation and advanced pacing procedures within the Trust. The post will also contribute to the acute cardiology service providing additional support for the increased number of patients admitted with acute general cardiac conditions.
The successful applicant will join a team of 23 full time consultant cardiologists and will contribute to a comprehensive consultant-led secondary and tertiary cardiology service. He/she will have broad experience in all aspects of clinical cardiology, with particular expertise in advanced electrophysiology and complex device implantation. Additional expertise in Inherited Cardiac Conditions could be accommodated.
Most activity will be delivered within the tertiary centre at NUH. The appointee will participate in the Consultant of the week rota rotating through the Acute Cardiac Unit and in-patient wards currently on a 3:20 rotation. They will also participate in the QMC rota also currently 1:10. Weekend on-call is 48 hours from Saturday 9am until Monday 9am also on a 1:10 basis. On-call frequency may change with future appointments. Time of in-lieu is given following weekend working.
Every new post within the department of Medicine now has a commitment to General Medicine to help with the flow of patients from the Emergency Dept. This post has a commitment of 0.5 PA per week for Medicine.
Main duties of the job
Experience of VT ablation and an in-depth practical and theoretical working knowledge of modern 3D anatomical mapping technologies are essential.
Participation in the on-call rota for non-interventional cardiology (currently 1 in 10 covering both campuses). In addition the post holder will be expected to contribute to combined cardiac and cardiac surgical case meetings at NCH. There will be an agreed and equitable share of support (including junior and middle grade medical staff) with the other consultants in cardiology.
Each consultant is expected to take an active role in clinical governance activities including (but not restricted to) clinical audit, incident reporting, review of complaints, risk management, CPD, revalidation and Evidence-Based Practice.
Both main campuses of the Trust are major centres for undergraduate and postgraduate education and teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to play a role in postgraduate teaching within the 10 PA job plan. Contribution to undergraduate teaching and educational/clinical supervision will be reviewed and mutually agreed.
The Trust has extremely close links with Nottingham University, and has academic departments in the majority of its clinical specialties. There are University and Trust research facilities. About us
Cardiac services are delivered over both NUH campuses at Queens Medical Centre (QMC) and Nottingham City (NCH). The consultant cardiologists at Nottingham University Hospitals provide secondary and tertiary cardiology services.
The in-patient cardiology service at Nottingham City campus consists of a 20-bed Level-2 Acute Cardiac Unit based in the Trent Cardiac Centre (TCC). There is a daily Consultant ward round supported by a Specialist Registrar and more junior ward Doctors (CT, F2 and F1) in Cardiology across all our in-patient ward areas. Cardiology Consultant and Registrar level cover is provided 24/7. The remainder of Morris ward contains cardiac surgical patients. A further 32 Level-1 cardiology beds are located on Papplewick Ward and 22 low dependency, non-monitored beds on Patience 1 Ward which also houses our newly opened 4 bay ambulatory heart failure unit. Patients undergoing procedures are admitted to the 8 bedded short stay unit based in the Trent Cardiac Centre.
Following approval of a £8.5 million business case extend the TCC, to build 2 new cardiac catheter laboratories along with a new office block. This will increase our cath labs from 3 to 4 and centralise our 4 operational cath labs within the TCC allowing NUH to keep up with the increased demand for structural and cardiac rhythm management procedures. These new labs are scheduled to open in Summer 2026.

Job summary
The Maternity and Gynaecology department at NUH is looking to appoint a registrar at ST3-5 level in order to ensure robust middle grade cover on both our campuses 24/7.
NUH support applicants who are looking to start or are part way through their CESR journey.
Main duties of the job
The Maternity and Gynaecology department includes all hospital and community based obstetrics, gynaecology and midwifery services. 44 consultants contribute to our obstetrics and gynaecology service, of which 18 are gynaecologists, 18 are obstetric consultants and 8 combined obstetrician and gynaecologists.
Gynaecology is provided across three sites, at City Hospital, Queen's Medical Centre and the Nottingham Treatment Centre based at the QMC Campus. Our gynaecology service includes an accredited Urogynaecology unit, reproductive medicine, benign and emergency gynaecology, and Gynae-oncology. The service is in the process of an exciting transformation project, with several aspects of the service relocating from the City to QMC campus and Nottingham treatment centre. As part of the development of Primary Integrated Care Services gynaecology clinics are also held in primary care settings in the community supported NUH gynaecologists.
About us
The QMC Campus will continue to provide emergency gynaecology and an early pregnancy care and all of the fertility services. Out-patient benign gynaecology and short stay surgery are provided in the main at the NUH Treatment Centre, based on QMC Campus. In addition some outreach gynaecology is provided in the community and at Ilkeston and Heanor hospitals. The gynaecology-oncology service, recently recognised as a Certified Centre in Advanced Ovarian Cancer Surgery by ESGO (European Society of Gynaecological Oncology), is currently base at city Hospital campus.
Both sites have a dedicated hysteroscopy and colposcopy service.
Both hospital sites have a labour suite which is associated with a level 3 Neonatal Unit, dedicated obstetric anaesthetic service, and inpatient and outpatient obstetric services.
