Job summary
This post will work within a team of consultant colleagues to provide a comprehensive gynaecological histopathology service in the Oxford University Hospitals, including performing or supervising cut ups, microscopy, or other diagnostic techniques, reporting cases, and supporting clinical meetings and case discussions. The ability to provide support in alternative specialty pathology also would be an advantage, and additional programmed activities may be available for this.
Main duties of the job
OUH Trust in partnership with Oxford University aims to be at the forefront of modern diagnostic techniques. A willingness to adopt new diagnostic techniques into Cellular Pathology and undertake training where necessary is essential. The department is advanced in the adoption of digital pathology.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Practitioner with an Extended Role (GPwER) in Symptomatic Breast Assessment to join the Oxford University Hospitals Breast Service on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
The postholder will support the delivery of symptomatic and Urgent Suspected Cancer (USC) breast services, providing specialist assessment and management of patients within consultant-led pathways. Working as part of the multidisciplinary team, the GPwER will contribute to one-stop breast clinics and triple assessment services, helping to improve patient access, support delivery of the 28-Day Faster Diagnosis Standard and enhance pathway efficiency.
Working closely with Consultant Breast Surgeons, Radiologists, Breast Care Nurses and administrative teams, the successful candidate will assess, investigate and manage patients presenting with benign and symptomatic breast conditions, supporting timely diagnosis and high-quality patient-centred care.
This post forms part of an ongoing service improvement programme to increase weekday breast clinic capacity, reduce reliance on premium-cost weekend insourced activity and support a sustainable workforce model. The successful candidate will be a GMC-registered General Practitioner with relevant experience in breast disease, excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care within a multidisciplinary breast service.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will work as part of the Oxford University Hospitals Breast Service, providing specialist assessment and management of patients attending symptomatic breast and Urgent Suspected Cancer (USC) clinics within agreed consultant-led pathways.
The role will support the delivery of one-stop breast and triple assessment clinics, helping to improve patient access, contribute to achievement of the 28-Day Faster Diagnosis Standard (FDS) and increase capacity within the core weekday service.
Working closely with Consultant Breast Surgeons, Breast Radiologists, Breast Care Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team, the postholder will assess patients with breast symptoms, formulate management plans, arrange appropriate investigations and referrals, and communicate clinical outcomes effectively to patients and healthcare professionals.
The postholder will contribute to service development, clinical governance, audit and quality improvement activities, supporting the ongoing delivery of a high-quality, efficient and patient-centred Breast Service.

The postholder is required to provide holistic midwifery care to services users across the antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum period within the Bicester Area and surrounding areas of Oxfordshire.We have a diverse caseload of service users within our catchment area. We provide care in the form of clinic appointments and home visits, so a driving license with appropriate insurance is essential. Our team also provide an on-call service (day and night on calls), where we facilitate community births across the county, supporting other teams as well as our own. We also support the Obstetric Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital as part of an escalation policy.
We are looking for a midwife who demonstrates kindness and compassion, and who is passionate about providing a gold standard of care. We have a very supportive team of midwives and support workers in Banbury, so adding to this nurturing atmosphere is essential.
Candidates must have an existing NMC with UK Midwifery experience and have completed their preceptorship in a UK hospital. They must be currently working at a Band 6 level

Full and Part Time hours are available. Must be a car driver and have access to a car during the day and for night on-calls. You will be required to work community on-call shifts during the day and night time.

We are seeking a motivated and organised18-week RTT Team Leader to support the delivery of elective care standards across the Trust. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Plastic Surgery department for a Specialist Nurse in theHands and Plastic Injury (HAPI) Clinic. The HAPI Clinic is an urgent care facility that provides specialist Plastic Surgery reviews and treatments, including minor operations, to patients across Oxfordshire. HAPI operates daily from 8am to 7pm, including weekends and bank holidays, with Ambulatory Care provided until 8pm.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly, enthusiastic and professional children's outpatient therapy team. The post holder will be directly involved in patient care, assisting physiotherapists with treatments such as plaster cast removal and application, and seeing some patients independently under the supervision of a physiotherapist. Prior experience of similar paid or voluntary work, e.g. casting or other "hands-on" technical work or hobbies would be an advantage, although full training will be given. - To support clinical practitioners to deliver direct patient care in a children's' elective plaster cast service. This includes pre-and post-op casting (including minor wound and skin care), and casting for therapeutic goals such as stretching / walking pattern

Job summary
Specialist - Paediatric APT
We are looking for an experienced anatomical pathology technologist to work as a specialist and team lead to assist with the provision of an efficient and smooth-running mortuary service. The John Radcliffe mortuary provides a post mortem service to the Trust and HM coroner for both adult and paediatric post mortems. As a specialist paediatric centre the mortuary is a specialist referral centre for other hospitals.
The successful candidate should have demonstrable post-mortem experience, hold a BSc a in biological or forensic science subject and teh RSPH level 3 and 4 diplomas in anatomical pathology.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to
- Assist in the efficient organisation of the mortuary and post-mortem service.
- Perform both adult and paediatric post-mortem procedures of varying complexity, some of which require a high degree of skill and experience.
- Exercise autonomy within professional and managerial boundaries.
- Deputise for the Mortuary manager in their absence.
- Act as team lead - supervising and training junior staff.
- Work at any of the mortuary sites within the Trust as and when required (3 sites, two within Oxford and 1 in Banbury)
- Take part on the on call rota covering weekend, bank holiday and evening or night duties, which requires a flexible approach to hours of employment.

Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Psychologist to join the Department of Clinical Neuropsychology at the Oxford Centre for Enablement (OCE). The Clinical Neuropsychology service is part of the Trust wide Psychological medicine service. You will support the work of the Clinical Neuropsychology department in the Neurorehabilitation service at the OCE, working with adults with acquired brain injury and a wide range of long-term and complex neurological conditions, their families and carers. You will be carrying out neuropsychological assessments and delivering individual interventions and group work.
Main duties of the job
You will be working with in-patients, with opportunities to work with out-patients and families. You will also contribute to staff teaching and training, departmental and service development projects, research and clinical audit as opportunities arise. You will receive regular supervision and opportunities for CPD. We are seeking applications from people who have prior paid experience as an Assistant Psychologist in a neuropsychological setting (as such it is essential that you are proficient in administering and scoring a wide range of neuropsychological assessments). This post will offer you the opportunity to expand your existing experience of neuropsychological assessment with the chance to be involved in the supervised design and implementation of a range of Neurorehabilitation interventions. You will be organised, enthusiastic, hardworking and efficient; you will be able to work independently (with supervision) but also enjoy working within a team. As a senior radiographer, this role involves assisting the department superintendents with the supervision of staff and students, providing training, and you will encourage the highest professional and technical standards in all staff by personal example and constructive supervision.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving department of Psychological Medicine in a large University Hospital NHS Trust in a temporary capacity. We are looking for an enthusiastic and able individual to work in the adult clinical neuropsychology team.
Main duties of the job
As an integral part ofthe adult clinical neuropsychology team the postholder will provide neuropsychological assessment of patients referred within the Oxford Neurosciences Centre, by neurologists, neurosurgeons, clinical nurse specialists, GPs and AHP colleagues. This is a temporary 6 month post to provide cross-cover and waiting list management in the Adult Neuropsychology service.
The post holder will work closely with other health professionals (e.g.neurologists, neurosurgeons, clinical nurse specialists, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists).
The post holder will be a valued member of the Psychological Medicine Centre which encompasses Clinical Health Psychology, Children's Psychological Medicineand Psychiatry.

We are inviting applicants for the post of Ophthalmic Imaging Technician to join our team in assisting in the delivery of a high-quality ophthalmic imaging and diagnostic service to Oxford Eye Hospital.Working in a friendly, modern environment you'll carry out ophthalmic technical and imaging procedures including OCT, fundus photography, corneal topography, spectacle focimetry, visual field testing, visual acuity assessment, intraocular pressure testing and pupil dilatation.Applicants must have previous experience with Humphrey visual field (HVF) testing and/or ophthalmic imaging procedures. They should have a basic understanding of human anatomy and be willing to develop their theoretical and practical knowledge.Candidates will be expected to be comfortable working with people and have excellent communication skills. They should be computer literate and be familiar with database management. Applicants should be prepared to undertake the Certificate of Higher Education in OCT Capture.The general working hours for the position are 09:00-17:00 Monday - Friday. Main duties of the job
o To assist in the delivery of core ophthalmic clinical technical and imagingservices to Oxford Eye Hospital.o To be a member of the Imaging & Diagnostic team, contributing to theeffective quality care of patients, respecting and maintaining confidentiality inall matters relating to the department and patients.o To support the Head of Department in service development, ensuring thathigh clinical standards are maintained.o To undertake administration, data processing and clinical audit when required.o The post holder will develop the knowledge and skills to deliver individualpatient care to the standards defined by the OUH protocols and policies.o To have a working knowledge of computer systems and programmes.o To maintain their own professional development (CPD) under the supervisionof an Ophthalmic Imaging Specialist within the department (mentor).o Any other duties at the request of the Head of Department or DirectorateManager.
About us
You will be a key part of the friendly Ophthalmic Diagnostics Team working both at Oxford Eye Hospital and peripheral sites. The work will be varied and at all times patient care will be a priority.
