Locum Band 3 Genomic Assistant (Cancer Triage)
The Oxford Centre for Genomic Medicine is seeking a collegiate, organised and compassionate individual to join our Cancer Triage service as a Genomic Assistant. The successful post holder will play a pivotal support role in helping our service prepare and assess patients' risk for hereditary cancer prior to appointment with a Genetic Counsellor/Clinical Geneticist or a letter from a Senior Genomics Nurse.
The post holder will be key in coordinating referrals and quality assessing medical family history diagrams, arranging blood samples for DNA storage, and requesting relevant medical documents from hospitals and the UK Cancer Registry in accordance with GDPR and guidance from the British Society for Genomic Medicine.
The post is ideal for an individual who wishes to develop towards becoming a Genomic Practitioner, and potentially more senior clinical positions in clinical genetics accordance with career progression regulations and guidance published on AGNC, GCRAB and NSHCS websites. However, this post does not lead to registration as a Genetic Counsellor with either the HCPC or AHCS.
Full time- Monday to Friday Office hours
Main duties of the job
* Drawing and/or quality checking medical family history drawings using software (Pedigree assistant/Phenotips) based on patient provided information.
* Organising DNA storage for patients or their relatives with advanced cancer
* Under direct supervision of a Senior Genomic Nurse, requesting medical confirmations of cancer diagnoses from pathology laboratories, medical records and the UK cancer registry in accordance with GDPR and the British Society for Genomic Medicine
* Under direct supervision of a Senior Genomic Nurse, providing pre and post clinic support to Genetic Counsellors and Clinical Geneticists.

We are looking to recruit innovative midwives who are passionate about providing quality care to birthing familiesand are dedicated to providing evidence based care.Here in Oxfordshire, we offer women and healthcare professionals a unique set up of our Maternity Services where around 7500 babies are born annually. We have 4 stand-alone Midwifery Led Birth units within the county based at Banbury, Chipping Norton, Wantage and Wallingford as well as offering home births to all areas. There is also an integrated birth unit where around 10% of birthing people choose to go in labour. As a large Tertiary hospital, the John Radcliffe offers a large Delivery Suite with an en-suite birthing pool room, 3 Maternity theatres and a specific Maternity Recovery Ward.
This advert is for newly qualified midwives due to qualify by Autumn 2026
Newly qualified midwives will participate in a 12-18 month preceptorship program designed by our team of Practice Development midwives.
Main duties of the job
We currently have roles available for Band 5 and 6 Midwives within the John Radcliffe hospital setting and in a small number of our community teams.

Here in Oxfordshire, we offer a unique set up of our Maternity Services with around 7500 babies born annually.
As a tertiary hospital, the John Radcliffe is composed of a Delivery Suite with 3 Maternity Theatres and a specific Maternity Recovery Ward. We work closely with specialist services such as the Fetal and Maternal Medicine Unit, Breech Team, and Maternity Bereavement Teams. Midwives employed within the service have the opportunity to rotate to all our units/departments providing care to both low and high risk women.
For those working with us, we have a substantial support network for staff, focusing on wellbeing and development. This includes a team of professional Midwifery Advocates, Wellbeing Champions, staff networks and a staff Maternity Psychologist. You will be supported by the Practice Development Team who provide regular study days and updates and support staff clinically. Main duties of the job
Work as a senior member of the team of Radiographers covering all sections of the department including mould room, CT scanning, virtual simulation and contouring, delivery of a wide range of both simple & complex treatment and IGRT techniques.
Support the team leader in the day-to-day management of their assigned pre-treatment or treatment work area, assisting in the organisation and management of the clinical workload.
Liaising with the multidisciplinary team.
Assist with the day-to-day organisation of a treatment unit to ensure an efficient service is delivered and workload targets are achieved.
Supervise, support & teach junior members of staff and students.

We are looking to recruit innovative midwives who are passionate about providing quality care to birthing familiesand are dedicated to providing evidence based care.Here in Oxfordshire, we offer women and healthcare professionals a unique set up of our Maternity Services where around 7500 babies are born annually. We have 4 stand-alone Midwifery Led Birth units within the county based at Banbury, Chipping Norton, Wantage and Wallingford as well as offering home births to all areas. There is also an integrated birth unit where around 10% of birthing people choose to go in labour. As a large Tertiary hospital, the John Radcliffe offers a large Delivery Suite with an en-suite birthing pool room, 3 Maternity theatres and a specific Maternity Recovery Ward.

Main duties of the job
We currently have roles available for Band 6 Midwives within the John Radcliffe hospital setting.

Job summary
Applications are invited for a 7-month locally employed doctor post within the department of Acute General Medicine (AGM) and Gastroenterology at the Horton Hospital. This post is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, forward-thinking trainee, who wishes to develop higher level clinical skills in AGM and gastroenterology within an active district general hospital, taking full advantage of the links held with other Oxford teaching hospitals and university institutions. The post will be for 7 months in total depending on a 3month probationary period to ensure that the job and person are the correct fit. By 3 months, we would expect engagement in a training portfolio process with satisfactory work placed based assessments, as well as supportive feedback from placement supervision groups.
Main duties of the job
The post is aimed at senior medical doctors (those who have completed MRCP) and should appeal to those who not only wish to pursue a career AGM and/or gastroenterology, but also Anaesthetics, Emergency Medicine or Intensive Care Medicine. Gastroenterology at the Horton provide both outpatient and inpatient services. There is no dedicated gastroenterology ward, but we provide a daily consult service. We have a state-of-the-art endoscopy suite with two rooms, which was reaccredited by the Joint Advisory Group on Gastrointestinal endoscopy (JAG), the gold standard for endoscopy services I the UK, in 2025. The unit offers outpatient and inpatient upper and lower GI diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, and has received outstanding feedback for the quality of training provided. Outpatient clinics include general gastroenterology, as well as hepatology, family cancer, upper GI, and other subspecialist clinics. Services are provided by both Horton resident consultants, and visiting consultants from Oxford.
Both patients and trainees have full access to gastroenterology services in Oxford, including tertiary and quaternary level MDTs, specialist services in nutrition, hepatology, IBD, and Upper GI.

Outpatient clinics include general gastroenterology, as well as hepatology, family cancer, upper GI, and other subspecialist clinics. Services are provided by both Horton resident consultants, and visiting consultants from Oxford.
Both patients and trainees have full access to gastroenterology services in Oxford, including tertiary and quaternary level MDTs, specialist services in nutrition, hepatology, IBD, and Upper GI.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to inpatient gastroenterology consults at the Horton under close consultant support. They will also be offered the opportunity to gain experience in upper and lower GI diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. The successful candidate will also be invited to participate and contribute to the regional gastroenterology registrar teaching programme and the regional medical registrar teaching programme.

Work as a member of the Gastroenterology IBD Admin team and take a major role in the day to day running of the IBD Service

We are looking to recruit an experienced Clinical Technologist / Dosimetrist to join our team.
You will play a key role in the provision of a technical/clinical service in Radiotherapy Physics, primarily in treatment planning.
This role carries the option to be part- or fully based at one of our satellites depending on applicant suitability and needs of our service. We also offer a comprehensive selection of flexible working arrangements.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will take a leading role in the provision of a technical/clinical service in Radiotherapy Physics, primarily in treatment planning and equipment quality assurance.
You will provide expert advice to consultant oncologists and other healthcare professionals to resolve problems with complex radiotherapy equipment and treatment plans. You will also provide training for other Radiotherapy staff in treatment planning techniques and equipment QA, and help to develop new techniques for the service.
The OUH Radiotherapy Centre at the Churchill Hospital is a five linac, all-Varian (including Halcyon, TrueBeam) site with CT-sim, ARIA, Eclipse and HDR brachytherapy unit. Our existing satellite centre in Swindon operates a further two linacs and a CT-sim. A second satellite centre in Milton Keynes operating a single linac and CT-sim opened in 2025. Supporting systems include AI auto-contouring and RadCalc. We have a modern suite of treatment planning functionality including RapidPlan, MCO, HyperArc and Velocity, and we treat with a wide variety of techniques including SRS/SRT and SABR. We have a range of development work underway and on the horizon and also an active computing team working to develop software and scripts for automation and data analysis. We have close links with Oxford University and an expanding portfolio of clinical trials.

As the Energy Manager you will be professionally, technically and managerially responsible for Energy Management.

Oxford University Hospitals NHS FT are looking for an Anticoagulation Administrator to join their team. The successful post holder will be responsible for the provision of administrative duties within the Thrombosis Service, based in their Oxford Centre.
The Oxfordshire anticoagulation and DVT service operates across two sites; the Haemophilia and Thrombosis Centre at the Nuffield Orthopaedic site, and the pathology department at the Horton site. The service is responsible for the management of patients in Oxfordshire taking anticoagulation medication and comprises education clinics, point of care clinics, and remote telephone and software assisted dose titration. With a caseload of often long term patients the thrombosis team get to know the patients well and enjoy interacting with them on the phone and in person on an outpatient basis.

Job summary
To work as a member of the NHSP team at Oxford University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As the health professional performing newborn hearing screens, you will be recording and collecting data both manually and electronically and liaising with parents, health professionals, other stakeholders and the NHSP Local Manager and/or Assistant Local Manager as appropriate. This post will involve direct handling of newborn babies and contact with parents. This role will consist of some admin content which will be undertaken at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

Job summary
The postholder's duties will be primarily at the John Radcliffe Hospital but it is a condition of the appointment that the postholder will be willing to work in any of the Trust's other sites.
One whole-time/part-time post as a Locum Consultant in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesiais now available at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
This appointment is on a whole-time/part-time basis but applications are welcome from those who wish to job share. This locum post is fixed term for 12 months in the first instance.

There are approximately 900 cardiac surgical cases carried out at the JR with a full range of adult procedures with the exception of transplantation. Additionally, there are over 500 thoracic cases with many complex and high-risk cases requiring intensive care / HDU support post-operatively. There are established aortic and mitral surgical programs which include minimally invasive mitral and complex aortic operations.
Cardiology procedures requiring anaesthetic support include ablation, complex device insertion and extractions, TAVI and other structural inventions including percutaneous edge to edge valve repair.
The Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit provides both Level 2 and Level 3 care to patients after both cardiac and thoracic surgery and also following emergency and elective Cardiological procedures. The unit receives over 1500 admissions per year. Most are planned admissions, but the unit also receives emergency admissions including those transferred from other hospitals for emergency Cardiothoracic surgery and Cardiothoracic patients who become critically ill on the ward. Emergency admissions also include patients after emergency percutaneous coronary intervention and out of hospital arrest.
CTCCU patients receive a full range of organ support procedures including ventricular assist devices, VA ECMO, Impella and haemofiltration.
Clinical
This post is in Cardiothoracic Intensive care with or without another specialty. Advert - Band 3 Assistant Patient Pathway Administrator - Urology
We have some exciting opportunities available to join the Urology team as a Assistant Patient Pathway Administrator. We have a variety of posts based at either the Churchill Hospital (Headington) or the Horton Hospital (Banbury).
As a Assistant Patient Pathway Administrator, you will work closely with our clinical teams to support the delivery of excellent care to our patients. Your day-to-day role will involve talking with patients and the clinical teams, carrying out a variety of administrative tasks such as booking clinic appointments, scheduling patients into an operating theatre list, and making sure our consultant and nursing teams' clinic letters are processed and sent out to our patients.
These roles are ideal for anyone looking to move into the NHS, with good opportunities for career progression both within and outside the department. Main duties of the job
1. Book new and follow-up outpatient and diagnostic appointments, ensuring that capacity is proactively and efficiently used. This includes booking patients into the correct clinic to ensure that they are seen by the most appropriate clinician.
2. Reschedule outpatient appointments as a result of patients calling the service, in line with local targets and agreed local processes in respect to patient cancellations.
3. Actively review patient DNAs, liaising with the appropriate clinical staff and reschedule patient appointments in line with agreed local processes.
4. Taking telephone calls from patients and actioning their queries or directing them to the appropriate person.
5. Contributing to the management of the daily emails accounts within the department, ensuring that queries are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
6. Completing clinical letters for patients and GPs
7. Adding additional clinic capacity on EPR as directed by management.
8. Liaise with the appropriate teams (e.g. learning disabilities team, translator services etc) to ensure that patients requiring additional support services are not indirectly discriminated.

Your Main role will be to cover the Phlebotomy service at the Whitehouse Dialysis Unit , our brand new dialysis unit in Whitehouse Park, in Milton Keynes.

Main duties of the job
The role of a ward clerk is to provide varied administrative support for the ward. Acting as a first point of contact in person or on the telephone for patients, relatives and visiting staff, welcoming them to the ward and dealing with any queries. Ensuring the electronic records for the patients are updated and dealing with any paperwork for their admission and discharge.
Full training for this post will be given.

9. Monitor that discharge letters are completed before patients leave the ward. Report weekly to duty consultant any that are not done within 24 hours of discharge.
