We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Clinical Coder (ACC) to join our centralised Clinical Coding Team, committed to providing accurate and timely coded data, for use by the Trust and secondary users. As a key member of the department you will be responsible for ensuring high standards of coding accuracy, efficiency and compliance with national guidelines. This is a full time, 37.5 hours per week, hybrid clinical coding role.
The clinical coding department of Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is responsible for determining the clinical coding of around 12,000 episodes of care per month. The Trust provides a full range of hospital specialties, supplemented by a significant number of regional and national specialist services.
The trust has a fully electronic medical record (Cerner EPR) and all clinical coding is undertaken from electronic source documentation.
The NCCQ (National Clinical Coding Qualification) is preferred and considered essential to apply for this post; however, we are open to considering applicants who have relevant experience but do not hold the qualification.
Candidates will be required to take and pass a 2 hour practical clinical coding assessment should they reach the second stage of the interview process.

Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 MRI Radiographer based at West Berkshire Community Hospital (WBCH) in Newbury, part of the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. WBCH is a Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) and forms part of our growing cross-site MRI service.
Due to the expansion of our MRI service, we have vacancies for enthusiastic Band 6 Diagnostic Radiographers with demonstrable post-registration MRI experience. Successful candidates will support our growing cross-site MRI service, with some Radiographers based at WBCH and others rotating between RBH and WBCH. Occasionally, all Radiographers will be required to rotate across all three sites, RBH, WBCH and Bracknell, to support service delivery and professional development.
The successful candidate must have demonstrable post-registration skills and experience in MRI imaging.
Main duties of the job
Some of the successful Radiographers will be based at WBCH (West Berkshire Community Hospital) and others rotating between RBH (Royal Berkshire Hospital) and WBCH. Occasionally, all Radiographers will be required to rotate across all three sites--RBH, WBCH and Bracknell--to support service delivery and professional development.
You must be adaptable and be prepared to work evenings and weekends as part of seven-day service delivery.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as is the ability to work effectively, both autonomously and within a team environment.Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Diagnostic Radiographers who satisfy the essential criteria of the person specification. We are looking to appoint one resident doctor working at Foundation Year 2 level in General and Geriatric Medicine. The post is for 3 months commencing September 2026. This vacancy has arisen due to gaps in the Foundation programme. We would welcome applicants looking to work either full time or less than full time.
The post will involve working on Woodley ward with the Consultant-led multidisciplinary team. This is a 28 bedded Elderly care ward that provides multidisciplinary comprehensive geriatric assessment. It includes 6 side rooms prioritised for patients requiring isolation for infection control and includes 2 dedicated beds for patients receiving palliative and end of life care. This provides excellent opportunities to develop skills in this area, with input from the hospital's specialist palliative care nurses and consultants.
Main duties of the job
- Work alongside the medical team to provide Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment and ongoing care to the patients on an Elderly Care ward or in the acute medical ward and short stay unit.
- Attend Consultant and Registrar ward rounds, and review patients independently at other times.
- Communicate regularly with patients and their families or GP, to obtain collateral histories, provide medical updates and agree appropriate treatment strategies.
- Work alongside the multidisciplinary team, and attend relevant meetings, to help plan management, including discharges.
- Be able to assess and understand patients with cognitive impairment, in line with guidance provide by the Mental Capacity Act. Contribute to capacity assessments and determination of Best Interest decisions, including liaising with families and attending meetings.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated pharmacist to join our team asLead Pharmacist for Children's Services.
This is a varied senior clinical leadership role with the opportunity to make a real impact across paediatric services. Main duties of the job
To lead and develop the Paediatric Pharmacy services at Royal Berkshire Hospital, including the Neonatal Care Unit and Special Care Baby Unit

To provide leadership and training to junior team members, rotating through these clinical areas and support the wider pharmacy department with any Paediatric issues.
To support the wider MDT with any Medicines Management activities and any medication related enquiries.
To act as a senior member of the wider Pharmacy department.
To support implementation of any national or regional medicines management activities (audits, CQC recommendations).
To support the safe and cost-effective use of medications within Paediatrics.
To work collaboratively with patients and their families to help them obtain the most benefit from their medications.

We are looking for a motivated and organised Radiotherapy Administrative Assistant to join the Berkshire Cancer Centre administrative team. To support with the Patient Pathway Manager and Directorate Senior Management Team (Clinical Director, Directorate Manager) in the efficient and effective operational management of the Paediatric GP Liaison MDT Service.
The MDT coordinator will provide non-clinical administrative and organisational support and expert knowledge to facilitate the MDT service. The MDT coordinator will work closely with the lead consultant, GP PCN's and CAHMs to implement a roll-out of this service across Berkshire West.

Job summary
We are seeking an experienced Radiographer to join our Plain Film imaging team for a 12 months' only fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. Employment contract will end when the substantive postholder returns from maternity leave.
In this role, the Radiographer will be working throughout the Plain Film department rotating through a range of specialties including the emergency department, orthopaedics, pain and endoscopy unit, outpatients and mobiles, surgical theatres, and also our spoke sites in Henley and Bracknell.
As a progressive teaching department for radiographers we have established links to universities and actively encourage CPD and role extension.
This 12 month fixed term Plain Film/General Band 6 Senior Radiographer post requires:
- HCPCregistration
- Minimum of 18 months' post qualification clinical experienceand demonstrable knowledge at interview.
- Prior NHS experienceeither through clinical placement training or previous employment
- Face-to-face interviewswill be held in Reading. We are unable to offer remote interviews.

Main duties of the job
Applicants must demonstrate clinical skills competence and robust knowledge of radiographic anatomy and relevant pathology, alongside excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. They must be able to work both autonomously and within multi-disciplinary teams, show flexibility to work at satellite spoke sites, actively mentor radiography students and apprentices, and participate in the out-of-hours rota as part of our seven-day service delivery which includes evening, night, weekend, and bank holiday shifts.
Senior Radiographers additionally must demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions, assess clinical situations and act appropriately, display leadership behaviours, and provide mentorship to junior Radiographers.
This is a Plain Film rolewithout CT rotation.
Applicants must hold HCPC registration and have prior NHS experience either through clinical placement training or previous employment. Applicants must have a minimum of 18 months' post qualification clinical experience.
All interviews will be held face-to-face at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.This gives candidatesthe opportunity to see our hospital, tour the Plain Film department, meet some of our Radiographers, and explore the town of Reading.

Job summary
Working in conjunction with the Directorate Medical Leads, the post holder must ensure the provision of high quality patient care by efficiently deploying junior medical staff across specialities, including on call, across the Urgent, Planned and Network Groups.
This will involve close liaison with junior doctors, Consultants, Medical Leads, and management teams and the Trust's Medical Human Resources department. It will be necessary to have a daily overview of all junior medical staff within the care groups, anticipate problems and autonomously resolve situations.
Will be responsible for the day to day management of medical staffing rotas across allocated areas, working on own initiative to identify and resolve issues, taking action as deemed appropriate. The post holder will co-ordinate, log and monitor all types of leave for medical staff, including Consultants.
Work closely with medical staffing bank and locum agencies to minimise spend on locum cover whilst ensuring safe staffing levels.
Will act as the first point of contact for issues relating to Junior Doctors including sickness reporting, annual leave, study leave, shift swaps and organising locum cover. This will include the involvement in induction of the rotating doctors.
Main duties of the job
- Prepare rotas and manage administrative tasks supporting the creating, collation and completion of rotas as required.
- Plan ahead and pre-empt rota gaps and ensure locum cover as necessary. This will require the ability to acquire an in-depth knowledge of the process for rota management and ability to identify the appropriate grade of support to the correct area within the specialty.
- Identify internal resources to cover gaps and encourage doctors to join locum bank.
- Ensure that locums booked receive reporting instructions and induction materials, including EPR training and log in details.

Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator for the CAT 7 Acute Paediatrics Admin Team.
Full time hours: 3 days 08:00-16:00, 1 day 08:00 - 15:00 and one late shift 08:00 - 17:00

This is a part-time post for 30 hours per week.
The Clinical Haematology Department is looking for aBand 3 Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator.

We are excited to welcome an experienced and enthusiastic physiotherapist to the Respiratory Outpatient Physiotherapy service.
The successful applicant will work predominantly onsite at Royal Berkshire Hospital with some spoke site working also alongside running Pulmonary Rehabilitation at RBH and Palmer Park Leisure Centre.
The role is supporting patients both in 1:1 appointments and group class settings.

Main duties of the job
To ensure a high standard of clinical practice for patients under your management and tosupport more junior staff to do likewise.
To receive referrals and independently assess and treat own caseload of patients, ensuring evaluation and progression of treatment programmes to a high standard.
To have clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients and prioritise that work efficiently taking into account clinical and service priorities, using clinical knowledge to underpin decisions.
To formulate and deliver specialist individual physiotherapy treatment programmes based onclinical knowledge of current practice, evidence-based practice and treatment options, usingclinical assessment and reasoning skills.
