Main duties of the job
Accurately label and dispense inpatient prescriptions under the supervision of a Pharmacy Technician according (MDS) trays.
Ensure inpatient and discharge prescriptions are printed from the e-prescribing system, booked into the prescription tracking system and passed to the dispensary team for processing in priority order.
Pack checked & dispensed prescriptions and other items into the ward bags for transportation to the wards/theatres & departments to facilitate timely delivery in accordance with the porters delivery schedule.
Carry out daily cyclical stock checks under the supervision of the Pharmacy Technician, ensuring returned stock/medicines are dealt with appropriately.
Assist in ensuring adequate medicinal supplies are available and stock control management and monitoring of environmental conditions for storage of medicines is monitored.

Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a part time Band 6 Radiographer based at West Berkshire Community Hospital in Newbury, part of the Royal Berkshire NHS Trust. The Post holder is expected to work as part of the Community Imaging Team providing an effective Plain film, CT and Dexa service. West Berkshire Community Hospital has been designated as a Community Diagnostic Hub and has been awarded significant investment to upgrade the General Xray equipment and install a Cone Beam CT Unit. West Berkshire Community Hospital provides Plain film, CT and Dexa imaging for walk-in GP referrals, Out/In patients, in addition to supporting the Minor Injury Unit. The post holder will be expected to take an active part in the departmental shift and weekend Rotas.Applicants must hold the DCR(R) or radiography degree equivalent and be state registered. They are also expected to demonstrate current CPD activity to show that they have reached a level of competence and autonomy appropriate to a band 6 Grade. Part time and job share will be considered.
West Berkshire Community Hospital is situated close to the M4 and stunning Berkshire countryside with good rail links to London. There are excellent training and study opportunities within the Radiology department.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will act as a State Registered Radiographer and will participate in the provision of a plain film imaging services to a diversity of patients presenting to the Radiology Department of the West Berkshire Community Hospital (WBCH)
The postholder will provide an excellent standard of radiographic imaging and quality of patient care
The postholder will be a role model for the profession and will participate in the supervision, training and support of more junior staff
They will exercise autonomy within professional and managerial boundaries and be responsible for the prioritisation and organisation of own work activities in response to clinical and service needs
The post is based primarily at the Radiology Department of the West Berkshire Community Hospital, providing imaging support to the WBCH Minor Injuries Unit, Outpatient clinics, Wards operating at WBCH and to local GPs
The post holder will be expected to take an active part in the departmental shift and weekend Rotas.

- Provides services primarily at West Berkshire Community Hospital but the postholder may be required to work at other sites, including the Radiology Departments of the Royal Berkshire Hospital, as required

- Performs cannulation for intravenous contrast administration, after appropriate training and assessment and works in accordance with Trust policy

- Assesses and justifies referrals under IRR17, IR(ME)R 2017, following practitioner guidelines. Includes the assessment of complex and/or acute cases
- Makes autonomous decisions regarding the appropriateness of examinations as an aid to clinical diagnosis; works to a high standard of technique and patient positioning
- Follows established examination protocols and liaises, as required, with Consultant Radiologists regarding optimum technique
- Possesses specialist knowledge and experience as appropriate to grade; is able to function as a role model and provide support to more junior staff

Job summary
The post holder is responsible for the pre-operative assessment of children and young people scheduled to undergo a variety of surgical procedures and investigations requiring a general anaesthetic.

One linac has been replaced and gone live.

Main duties of the job
The post holder for this Band 6 Macmillan Senior Therapeutic Radiographer role will be required to:

Band 5 Audiologist
The Audiology team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital (RBH) are looking for an enthusiastic audiologist to join their friendly department. As a band 5 Audiologist you will be expected to have previous clinical experience of working independently in adult audiology clinics, although this may include university clinical placements.
You will be part of a team who are supportive and keen to share learning. Development into wider clinical areas is encouraged and supported. There is a proven track record of creating opportunity for wider training, support on recognised professional programmes and academic study.
You will have a degree (or equivalent) in Audiology and have obtained, or be working towards, professional state registration.
Main duties of the job
Clinical Role
You will have experience in providing adult diagnostic hearing assessment and adult rehabilitation work.
You will have prior experience of independently providing ENT support and hearing aid repair and maintenance for service users.

The service is based in Reading, and delivered across a number of Berkshire and South Oxfordshire locations. The clinician will be part of the team working across these sites to support the local community.

Main duties of the job
Post holder will be required to:
- Collect samples from inpatients, patients attending outpatient clinics.Is required to liaise with clinicians, other healthcare professionals including laboratory staff. Post holder will be required to perform a range of venepuncture techniques in a variety of clinical settings.
- Be aware of the clinical conditions and precautions that are necessary for sample quality to be maintained during the venepuncture procedure, and develops an awareness of requirements for site selection, correct use of tourniquet and selection of blood sample bottles.
- Ensure that blood sample bottles are accurately labelled in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure that clinical samples are correctly packaged for transportation to the laboratory in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Pathology Department.
- Seek guidance from experienced Phlebotomists as necessary.
- Be aware of, and works to relevant departmental policies and Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring that personal performance complies with ISO (International standards organisation).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic pharmacist to join our pharmacy team as Senior Lead Pharmacist - Clinical Services & Performance.
This is a pivotal senior leadership role at the heart of clinical pharmacy services, providing clinical and operational leadership across the Trust.
Working closely with the Associate Chief Pharmacist, Clinical Lead Pharmacists and multidisciplinary teams, you will lead the performance and development of clinical pharmacy services, using data and service intelligence to drive improvements in patient flow, productivity, quality, medicines safety, workforce performance and service resilience.
You will play a key role in developing our clinical pharmacy workforce and future models of care, including the integration of pharmacist prescribing, service transformation and medicines optimisation, while supporting efficient use of resources and financial sustainability.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine senior clinical leadership, operational performance and service transformation to deliver measurable improvements in patient care and the quality and effectiveness of clinical pharmacy services.
Main duties of the job
You will provide senior clinical and operational leadership across clinical pharmacy services, with specific responsibility for delegated Care Groups, ensuring services are safe, effective, responsive and patient-centred.
A key focus of the role will be driving clinical service performance, using KPIs, data and service intelligence to improve patient flow, productivity, quality, medicines safety and workforce performance, while identifying variation and addressing areas of underperformance.
You will oversee workforce deployment, rota management, capacity and service resilience, supporting Clinical Lead Pharmacists and wider teams to deliver consistent and effective clinical pharmacy services.
You will lead and support service transformation and medicines optimisation, including the development of pharmacist prescribing, digital solutions and new models of clinical pharmacy practice, while contributing to financial sustainability and efficient use of resources.
As a senior pharmacy leader, you will contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, workforce development and strategic planning, deputising for the Associate Chief Pharmacist - Clinical Services as required and representing pharmacy at relevant Trust and system-level forums.

Nurses new to ICU are supported by our dedicated practice education team and follow the National Competency Framework for Registered Nurses in Adult Critical Care.
Your transition into critical care is also supported by a dedicated mentor and a team leader who will ensure you have the support and guidance you require.

The post holder is responsible for developing, implementing and reviewing planned nursing care, and for the maintenance of associated records for patients in the given clinical area.
You will be expected to work as an effective team member, assisting in the management and the organisation of the work as required.

The postholder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide and co-ordinate the highest standard of care for women who, for a variety of reasons are considered to be vulnerable. Band 2 Receptionist (CAT Team 3A - Urology)
The post holder will be responsible for delivering an effective and efficient support service in the Urology department. To assist in the provision of quality patient care. This will include comprehensive clerical and administrative duties, along with receptionist responsibility to Urology Procedures.
The post holder is the first line of contact with families and professionals, and will provide assistance and reassurance to distressed or anxious patients/visitor. To coordinate and ensure the smooth registration of patients attending Outpatient Clinics. To assist in the preparation of the administration paperwork.
The ideal candidate should be confident and have strong customer service skills. Be able to multi-task under challenging and busy work environment, whilst being calm and courteous.
Main duties of the job
- Welcoming patients into the department as the first point of call for patients attending their appointments.
- Work closely with the wider CAT and clinical team.
- Use GPAS and EPR to check in patients and update records as required.
- Monitor patients arriving on patient transport and make changes where required.
- Any discrepancy in the patient's appointment must be amended and the patient informed of any changes, e.g. transport patients.
- All documents required for the clinics are complete and available for the start of the clinics and take appropriate remedial action if not.
- Greet patients in a courteous and appropriate manner.
- To notify nursing staff of any appointment changes.
- Book DNA appointments and arranging appointments where applicable for patients before they leave the department.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and develop to become an Assistant Clinical Respiratory Physiologist.
This is a period of ever expanding service for the department and this is an opportunity for you to be involved in the continued development of a laboratory where scientific process, data quality and patient experience are at the core of the daily activities.
Main duties of the job
You will train to perform a range of respiratory function investigations under the supervision of the Respiratory Physiologists. You will also gain skills in performing basic diagnostic procedures and treatment provision in our sleep and ventilation service. Once in post, you will undertake an in-service training program and when ready to do so, will complete a professional qualification exam. For the right candidate, there is also the possibility for future study whilst in post.

Job summary
Band 5 Respiratory Physiologist
The provision of diagnostic assessment services in Respiratory Physiology and the therapeutic monitoring of patients with lung disease and sleep disordered breathing.
Applicants who are invited for interview should be prepared to discuss various relevant aspects of running a respiratory physiology service. Interpretation of full lung function, sleep studies and CPAP data may be required.
